The GTA Online community has been abuzz with the recent update. The Criminal Enterprises DLC brought new quality of life features, a new set of IAA contact missions, and a huge number of changes to pre-existing businesses to the game. There has never been a better time to grind in this game. But just what are these new business updates in GTA Online? What exactly has been added? How can you get the most out of each business in the game?
In this guide to all the new business updates in GTA Online, we’ll cover every single change made to every business. We’ll also go over a few tips for making the most of these changes!
All New Business Updates Explained
Let’s get right into the walkthrough!
CEO Warehouses
To start off this guide, let’s take a look at all of the new changes executives can expect to encounter. For starters, your assistant has hired a brand new crew to help you passively source special cargo from your crate warehouses! The leader of this crew is named Lupe, and she and her boys are experts at tracking down and securing smuggled goods all throughout San Andreas.
After you receive a phone call from her, simply head on over to one of your CEO crate warehouses. An NPC (either Lupe herself or one of her associates) will be in each and every one. Just talk to them and you can spend $7,500 to send them out into the city to gather some cargo crates for you. Each time they’re sent out, they have a chance of returning with 1–3 special cargo crates.
Additionally, there’s a small chance they can return with one of the extra rare items (such as the golden minigun)! Passively sourcing crates this way takes exactly 48 real-world minutes or one in-game day, and it takes a long time to fill up your warehouse. You won’t get any profits for a while, but if you have lots of CEO warehouses, this is a decent way to make passive income.
Export Mixed Goods
Additionally, you can talk to your assistant once per day at your office to export mixed goods to the docks. These mixed goods are excess supplies Lupe and her crew has accumulated. The mission requires you to drive a truck carrying the goods. Once it has been delivered, it will net you a sum of $50,000! This is a good way to make some side money, especially if you play GTA Online every day!
Overall, the changes made for CEOs in the game are pretty good for grinders. While the daily delivery missions aren’t anything special, they’re there if you need the extra cash. And while the crate warehouses take a long while to fill up and cost quite a bit, I would still say they’re worth doing if you want an extra source of passive income.
Motorcycle Clubhouse Bar
Up next on our guide for all new business updates in GTA Online explained, we’ll talk about all the changes that will affect motorcycle club presidents. First and foremost is your clubhouse. No longer is it just a place for you to launch MC club work and upgrade your bikes. Now it’s a full-fledged bar that will generate you passive income!
Upon entering your MC clubhouse, you’ll need to do a resupply mission to get it up and running. It’s a pretty basic mission. You go to a location, steal a vehicle, and drive it back while getting shot at by angry bikers. Once you deliver it, you’ll earn some cash for your efforts and your bar will be up and running, generating you some passive income. The money will be stored in your clubhouse safe to be collected.
Bike Shop and MC Work
Probably my favorite new addition to the motorcycle club updates is the new bike shop business. You’ve always been able to add on the motorcycle mod shop to your clubhouse, but it’s a lot more useful since the update. Every now and then, customers will drop off their bikes for you to upgrade and modify to their liking.
Once you’ve finished modifying it, you can deliver it to them for a maximum profit of $40,000! This works very similarly to the auto shop business, but with bikes instead (note that you can’t have your staff deliver the bikes — you have to do it yourself). Rockstar has also added two brand new missions for MC work: “Life And Deathbikes” and “Hit the Roof”!
The bar aspect is a nice way to get some passive income, but it is annoying to have another business you’ll have to stop by to collect the cash from. The new bike shop business may be boring to some (as it’s exactly the same as the auto shop, but with motorcycles), but I still find it fun to do. Personally, I’ve hardly ever played the MC work, as it’s not the best way to make money. But the missions are fun to do.
Bunker Research Missions
The next brand new set of business upgrades for the Criminal Enterprises DLC comes to the bunker! Now, we’re all familiar with the bunker research mechanic. It’s a very slow, tedious process that often gives you yet another gun camo when what you really wanted was a new weapon mod. While RNG still sadly plays a part, getting new research is less time-consuming thanks to the new missions!
Whenever you’re out on the road, you can give Agent 14 a call and he’ll set you up with a mission to quickly generate some research progress, helping you to speed up the time it takes to unlock a new piece of tech. These missions are pretty fun, but the amount of research it gives you isn’t that great. Still, it’s a good way to pass the time and help out your scientists at the bunker.
Ammu-Nation Deliveries
Just like the CEO’s new ability to deliver mixed goods down to the docks, you now have the ability to make a delivery of excess ammo and guns to an Ammu-Nation! Your workers will stockpile up extra products and place them in a truck parked at the front of your bunker. When the icon for the truck is light blue, that means it’s ready for you to deliver! Once you deliver it, you’ll be rewarded with $50,000.
It feels like the bunker got the least amount of love in this update, which is a shame, as it’s one of my favorite businesses. The research missions are nice, but they don’t give you enough extra research and aren’t really worth doing. The deliveries are also a decent way to make some extra income. And while doing them is boring, I think the payouts are worth the time they take to complete.
Nightclub Patrons and Crate Sourcing
Last but not least of the business updates in GTA Online, we have the nightclub!
First on the list of changes is a new set of side missions. Every now and then, a customer who has had too much to drink will either pass out or start causing problems. You can then do a mission escorting them out for money and an increase in your popularity bar. When walking in your nightclub, you can start the mission by finding a blue icon on your map.
Next is an alternative way to stock crates for your nightclub. You no longer have to do a business battle to stock up! Simply call your new contact, Yohan, and he will give you a mission to steal and deliver a crate to your nightclub. The missions have a cooldown timer of twenty minutes and allow you to quickly fill up your NC’s store rooms with goods.
Like the bunker, the nightclub didn’t get as much love in this update, but it was already a great business to begin with. Being able to source crates allows you to stock up your nightclub faster, and it makes grinding in GTA Online more varied. Kicking out patrons is definitely the most unique thing from the two new changes, and I think this was a perfect addition, as it makes gaining popularity easier.
