Out of all the different heists that have been added to GTA Online over the years, my favorite is without a doubt the Diamond Casino heist! It is one of the most fun heists to play in the entire game. While it doesn’t make as much as Cayo Perico, this heist is still incredibly profitable. If you know what you’re doing, that is.
So in today’s article, we are going to be giving you a full walkthrough on how to do the Diamond Casino heist in GTA 5 Online! We’ll be going over everything from purchasing the best arcade to the fastest ways to pull off the heist for all three of the different approaches.
How To Do The Diamond Casino Heist: Full Walkthrough
Without any more delays, let’s get right into this walkthrough!
Arcade Overview
Purchasing an Arcade + Setup Mission
Before you can begin pulling off one of the largest heists Los Santos has ever seen, you’re first going to need a base of operations. A place where you can store all of your heist equipment and plan out your next move. And that place is the arcade. This is a business that fronts as a regular old arcade, but down in the basement acts as the perfect place to plan out a high-stakes robbery.
To buy an arcade, first, pull out your phone and launch the web browser. Then head over to the in-game website Maze Bank Foreclosures. From here you can pick out one of several different arcade locations spread across the state. The two best locations to buy are A) Eight-Bit ($2,530,000), located in Vinewood, and B) Videogeddon ($1,875,000), located in La Mesa. Both these locations are very close to the casino, which is important when doing the heist.
I purchased the one in Vinewood as it’s closer to my other businesses. I would recommend you make your choice based on where your other properties are as well. After you have bought the arcade of your choice, drive to its location on the map and head inside. You’ll watch a cutscene showing us some new and old faces, while Lester introduces you to your new business. Once the cutscene ends, go to the laptop in your basement and launch the setup mission from there.
The setup mission is very straightforward, just drive to the first location given to you. After that, you’ll discover that your equipment has been stolen and that you need to go to a blue car icon shown on your map to get it back. Go to the vehicle, shoot the driver, and get in the flatbed truck hauling your stuff. Drive it back to the arcade and you’ve completed the mission.
Arcade Benefits + Best Upgrades
The neat thing about arcades is that not only are they places to launch the Diamond Casino heist, but they provide other bonuses in GTA Online as well. They provide passive income that can be collected from the safe in your office. If you buy the garage upgrade, they can store 10 personal vehicles. And you can also get a special upgrade called the Master Control Terminal from that allows you to manage and order supplies for your other businesses!
So just what are the best upgrades for the arcade? I won’t get into too much detail as I want to focus this guide on the heist, but I will tell you some upgrades you should get. The Master Control Terminal is a must, as it allows you to view the product you currently hold at your other businesses. And you can purchase resupplies from it, which makes it a great place to stop by in-between doing prep missions for the Casino heist.
You can also purchase some arcade cabinets if you’d like to start making some passive money on the side. It really isn’t a lot of money. And considering how expensive the cabinets are, I would only buy them for fun and to decorate your arcade, not to make money. Once they are bought, they will be delivered to you after some time. You can set them up by walking inside your arcade’s main room and opening up the Interaction Menu.
All of these upgrades can be purchased from the laptops found inside the arcade. There’s one in your office and one in the basement. You can also purchase some upgrades from the heist planning board, but none of them are worth getting so don’t bother with those.
Scouting Missions
Scope Out the Casino (Mandatory Objectives)
Now that you’ve bought an arcade, set it up, and purchased all the upgrades you want, it’s time to start cracking that diamond! Go to the planning boards located in the center of your arcade’s garage, and walk up to the one on the left. Interact with it and pay the $25,000 fee to start the Diamond Casino heist in GTA Online.
From this same board, you can launch a mission to scope out the casino to get some valuable intel. If it’s your first time playing the heist, you’ll be doing the “Scope Out Casino” mission. You only have to do this mission one time, but you can replay it whenever you want to get more information.
After you launch the mission, you’ll have to go to the Casino. It’s pretty straightforward, just follow Lester’s instructions and pull out the camera app on your phone to take pictures of everything he asks for. Once you take a picture of the Rear Security Door, all your mandatory objectives will be done. But don’t leave just yet! There are still a few key locations we need to take pictures of for later.
Scope Out the Casino (Optional Objectives)
If you are still at the Read Security Door, you’ll be at the side of the casino. You need to go to the BACK of the casino. There on the ground level, you should find several white doors. This is the Staff Lobby entrance. Take a picture of it and send it to Lester.
For the second entry/exit point, head inside the casino and take the elevator near the entrance to go up to the roof. After you get off the elevator, go to the southeast corner of the casino’s roof. Once you are there, you should find a white door that has some spots of grass growing on both sides of it. Take a picture of this door and then parachute off the roof towards the Staff Lobby entrance from earlier.
Now for the third entry/exit point, if you are back at the Staff Lobby entrance, look to the southeast. You should see a road that goes past the penthouse garage door and leads in between the parking lot and the race track. Walk down this road until you enter a tunnel that goes under the track. In this tunnel, you should see a big garage door. Take a picture of it and you’ll have unlocked the third entry/exit location.
Now for our fourth and final location, you’ll want to head to the location shown on the map (posted above). At this location inside of a nearby storm drain is the entrance to the sewers. Take a picture of this entrance and send it to Lester like you did all the others.
There are plenty more entry/exit locations to unlock, but these are the only ones that we’ll be needing for later. Now just leave the area to end the mission.
Vault Contents: Part 1
For this next mission, you can only do it if you’ve completed the Diamond Casino heist once before. This is the main scouting mission you’ll be doing if you’re going to play the heist regularly, as the previous mission is only required if it’s your first time doing the heist. When you first launch it, head outside and Lester will instruct you to head to a location on your map.
From what I’ve read online, there are two possible locations this mission can send you to. But I think my game is bugged, as in the dozens and dozens of times I’ve done this heist it has always sent me to the observatory. So I would wait a second for Lester to tell you where to go before heading any one direction. Once you get there, Lester will tell you to look for the guard. He should be wearing white sleeves and have body armor on. From here you can either hack his phone or kill him.
Killing him seems faster, but it does give you a wanted level, which you need to wait a bit to lose. So I would recommend hacking his phone. Pull out the app in the bottom right corner of your phone to start the process. Get close to him–but not too close–and wait for it to end. After it’s over, get back in your vehicle and go to the casino. Enter through the front door.
Vault Contents: Part 2
You’ll want to open up your phone again. In the spot where the hacking app used to be, there should now be a different app. Launch it and start walking around the casino to get a good wi-fi signal. The spot you need to go to to get the best signal is random, so just keep walking around till you find it. Once it’s at its peak, follow the button prompts on the screen to enter the video camera.
Now just keep spamming the button to change cameras until you find the vault. Then pan the camera to the right to see what is inside. From here, you can find one of four things:
- Cash
- Artwork
- Gold
- Diamonds
Once you see what’s in the vault, simply walk away from the casino to end the mission. Cash is the worst of these four, and is not worth getting. If you find cash, simply call Lester on your phone after finishing the mission. Then select the option to cancel the heist. Now start up the heist again and try for something better. Diamonds are the best but are only available during special event weeks.
Selecting Your Approach
Now that you’ve completed your scouting missions, it’s time for the fun part… Deciding how you want to approach the heist! There are three options for how you want to pull it off:
- Silent & Sneaky: “A stealthy, cat burglar’s robbery.”
- The Big Con: “Robbery using tricks and disguises.”
- Aggressive: Guns blazing take-no-prisoners robbery.”
Silent & Sneaky is by far the most difficult of the three. It sees you stealthy make your way in and out of the casino while silently taking out anyone who gets in your way. If you can pull it off, it will give you a lot of time inside the vault due to being undetected. The Big Con is the easiest, and if you do it the way I describe in this article you can complete it incredibly fast. Aggressive is the most fun in my opinion and is also a decently fast way to get to the vault, at the cost of the time you’ll have inside it.
Best Approach to Grind
You should definitely do all three approaches at least once, just so you can get the full Diamond Casino heist experience in GTA Online. But if you want to make this heist your main grind, you’re going to want to choose two of these three to do regularly (for reasons I’ll explain in a moment).
I would recommend doing The Big Con and Aggressive as your go-to approaches for this heist. The game won’t let you do the same one twice in a row, and there is a way to unlock hard mode for an approach.
This is how it works – you pick an approach and complete it. Afterwards, Lester will warn you that security will expect that approach the next time, so he’ll make you do something different. Then after you do the heist again with a different approach, the previously locked approach will become available once more. Except now, it will be in hard mode. Hard mode is a bit more difficult, but it will pay you more money.
If you complete the heist with a certain approach and then do two more heists with a different method, that first approach will revert back to normal mode. This is why you should alternate between two options instead of doing all three approaches in a cycle. Hard mode really isn’t that much more challenging than normal mode, and because of the bonus money it gives you, it’s worth doing.
Support Crew + General Prep Work
Now it’s onto the first of several mandatory pieces of prep work. This next section of the guide will focus entirely on the missions that you NEED to complete in order to do the heist, regardless of your approach.
To do these, head to the three whiteboards located inside your arcade’s garage. Then approach the whiteboard in the middle of the other two and interact with it. From here you can launch all of your prep missions for the heist.
Before we get to the other stuff, we’re going to need to select a support crew to help us. For this support crew, you’ll need: A) a gunman to provide weapons. B) a driver who can provide you with a getaway car. And C) a hacker to buy you some time inside the vault. You’ll have several options from who you can choose, with each one taking a different cut of the loot.
To choose one, simply scroll through each of the three wanted posters and follow the button prompts to select the one you want in each category. If you’re going with my recommendations, you should pick the three I suggest before starting any of their missions. This way you don’t have to come back to this section of the guide each time after completing a prep mission.
1) Unmarked Weapons
For your gunman, choose the cheapest option. This will be Karl Abolaji. The weapons he provides aren’t the best, but they are good enough for the job. The reason why you want Karl is that he takes the lowest cut out of all the other options, a measly 5%. Once you select him, you can choose from one of two load-outs shown just underneath his wanted poster. Select one to start his prep mission.
For the unmarked weapons prep mission, there will be one of six different mission types you could get. For a brief overview of each one, check out this article here posted on the GTA Wiki. While this setup mission–like all the others–can be completed solo, it’s a good idea to do this one with a friend. This is because certain missions require you to pick up multiple caches of weapons, and you can only carry one at a time. Having a friend to help will make the mission go much quicker and smoother.
Once you deliver all the weapons to the drop-off location (which is usually the arcade), we can continue to the next prep mission.
2) Getaway Vehicles
Now onto your driver. Despite the name, he acts more like a mechanic than a getaway driver. He’ll repair and fix up your vehicle to escape the police, but you’ll have to drive yourself. I also recommend getting the cheapest option. His name is Karim Denz, and he’ll only take 5% of your cut. Once you select him, you’ll have to choose from one of several vehicles. Select the picture under the “Getaway Vehicles” title and scroll until you see Sentinel Classics. Select this option to start the prep mission.
Much like the unmarked weapons mission mentioned earlier, this setup mission can task you with one of several different objectives. There are seven in total, and you can read about each one by clicking here. And also like the unmarked weapons missions, it is a good idea to have another player help you do this mission. There will be multiple cars for you to pick up, which can be time-consuming if you try to do this solo.
After you’ve delivered both the getaway cars to the arcade, we can go on to our third general prep mission.
3) Hacking Device
You’re going to want the best hacker for this job. That means you’ll want to pick Avi Schwartzman, who takes 10% of the cut but gives you the most time inside the vault. He is not unlocked by default, and in order to get him to join your crew, you are going to need to destroy 50 signal jammers scattered around the map.
For a complete list/walkthrough of all the signal jammer locations, check out this guide made by Steam user McALEER. If you don’t feel like destroying all 50 signal jammers, you can also pick Paige Harris. She’ll still give you a decent amount of time in the vault, and she’ll only take 9% of the cut. After you’ve selected your hacker, it’s time to do their prep mission! Scroll over to “Hacking Device” and select the black and white picture of Lester to start the mission.
There are two possible mission types for this one: the NOOSE HQ one, and the FIB building one. I think my game might be bugged, however, as I’ve only ever gotten the NOOSE HQ mission. These are both stealth missions, but they do not require that you go undetected in order to complete the objective. To read up on both mission types, check out this GTA Wiki article by clicking here.
Once this mission is finished, we can move on to our final mission for this section of the walkthrough…
4) Vault Keycards
We are going to need to steal some special keycards in order to get through the basement floor of the casino and get into the vault. Unlike the previous three missions, these do not require you to hire a support crew member. To get started on this mission, head to the bottom of the prep mission whiteboard and select the option in the bottom left corner.
There are two mission types that you could get for the vault keycards prep mission. One will require you to steal a prison bus, disguise yourself as a guard, and sneak into a high-security prison. The other sees you tracking down and killing two members of Duggans’ security so that you can steal what you need off of their bodies.
If you get the prison mission, when you reach the part where you kill the guard in the tower to get the keycard, you can kill yourself by opening the Interaction Menu and selecting the option to do so from the bottom of the list. This will cause you to respawn outside the prison walls, and you’ll still have the card with you. This makes getting out of the prison much easier.
If you want to read a more detailed guide on each one of these missions, click on the link posted here. And with that, we’ve completed all of the prep work that is mandatory for every approach! Now it’s time we move on to the next section of this guide.
Approach Specific Preps + Optional Missions
Now that you’ve completed the Support Crew missions and the General Prep Work, it’s time for the final stretch of prep missions! These setup missions are more or less the same as what you got with the previous ones. You’ll be doing several different objectives in order to get what you need and haul it back to the vault. You can launch each one by interacting with the middle whiteboard. These missions will be either at the bottom or right of the whiteboard.
In this next section, we’ll be discussing each of the approach-specific prep missions for all three approaches (there will be two missions for each one). We’ll also be going over all the optional prep missions we recommend you do as well.
If you want to save some time you can skip over these optional prep missions, but we really do not recommend doing that for reasons we’ll explain later.
Silent & Sneaky Approach Prep Work
If you selected the Silent & Sneaky approach, god help you. While the final heist can be challenging, this approach requires the least amount of work in order to get set up. There are only two approach-specific missions we need to do! While it may be tempting to get some of the optional prep to make this heist easier, if you follow my guide for this approach then you won’t need it.
1) Nano Drone
This first mission requires you to travel around Los Santos destroying various police drones so that you can collect their parts. When you start this mission, dots will appear on your map marking their location. Go to each one of them in any order you’d like. You can easily destroy the drones just by shooting them. Once their parts fall to the ground, pick them up and move to the next target.
Just keep in mind that sometimes you will get a wanted level after destroying a drone. So make sure you take a fast car with you on this prep mission. Thankfully, unlike the unmarked weapons, there is no limit to the number of drone parts you can carry. This makes it a great mission to do solo. Once you have collected all the needed drone parts, just drive back to the arcade to complete the mission.
2) Vault Laser
For our final prep mission for the Silent & Sneaky approach, we are going to need to get some lasers for breaking into the vault undetected. There are two mission variations for this mission. Just like with the unmarked weapons, you can only carry one laser at a time, so I recommend getting someone to help you with this job. This is especially important as one of the mission types is pretty difficult.
I’m talking about the military variation, which sees you attacking a group of soldiers guarding the lasers. Upon attacking them, you’ll get a four-star wanted level. Yikes. I found this mission is much easier to do if you own an Armored Kuruma. You can easily kill the enemies from the safety of your car.
Once you’ve grabbed one of the lasers and can’t lose your wanted level on your own, head to the location in the image above. This is the entrance to the sewer from when you scoped out the casino. Go there and hide inside underground until your wanted level dissipates. For a more detailed and complete walkthrough for both missions, check out this link here.
The Big Con Approach Prep Work
Next up, we have The Big Con! This is by far the EASIEST out of all the other heist approaches in the Diamond Casino Heist, especially if you choose the Gruppe Sechs option, which is the one we’ll be doing for this guide. There are three (technically four) prep missions to do, but since you can get in and out of the casino so quickly with this approach, it’s definitely worth doing.
1) Gruppe Sechs Gear (Part 1 & Part 2)
Both Part 1 and Part 2 are pretty straightforward. In part 1, Lester will have you drive to the location of a stockade. This is an armored car that will be needed to convince the Duggans’ security that you’re making a chip delivery. Once you get there, kill all of the NPCs and try to open the door. This will trigger Lester to tell you that you need a key. A green dot should appear on the map, indicating its location of it. Go to that dot and loot the body there by pressing the interaction button.
After you get in the truck and drive away, you should have a 3-star wanted level. I’ve found that the best way to get rid of it is to drive to the location shown in the image below. Underneath a bridge going over the highway is a tunnel that leads into the sewers! Drive the stockade down this tunnel and wait for your wanted level to go away.
As for part 2, you’ll need to get the actual outfit itself. I recommend doing this with a friend as you can only carry one outfit at a time. After starting the mission, Lester will send you to a location near that sewer entrance I just mentioned a second ago. Start heading in that direction as soon as you leave the arcade. When Lester finishes speaking, you’ll get a marker on your GPS taking you to where you need to go.
After you arrive, you’ll see that you can either be sneaky or go in guns blazing to kill the guards. Just go in guns blazing, it’s much easier and faster. Now look for the right stockade.
Once you find it, take a picture of its license plate and send that to Lester. Grab one of the outfits in the back of the stockade and tell your friend to grab the other (you can also just come back for it if it’s only you). By this point, you should have a 2-star wanted level from killing the security forces. This should be pretty easy to lose, so don’t bother with the tunnel method. Drive back to the arcade and deliver the outfits and you’ll be done.
2) Vault Drills
As for the next mission, we are going to need to grab the vault drills. Interestingly, we won’t actually be using them in the heist with the Gruppe Sechs method. But we still need to complete the mission never-the-less to complete the heist.
Take a friend with you if you can, you can only carry one vault drill at a time. Get it started and when you exit the arcade, you’ll get one of two different missions. Both of them are fairly similar: drive to a location, kill some guys, and grab the two drills.
You will get a 3-star wanted level for both of the two mission types. You should be fairly close to the tunnel mentioned earlier, so drive there and hide if you are having trouble shaking the cops. If you’d like a more complete guide for each one of these missions, check out this GTA Wiki article posted here.
Optional: NOOSE Gear Exit Disguise
Now it’s time for the only optional prep mission you’ll be needing for this heist! You’ll want to get an exit disguise that can be hidden inside the casino for when it’s time to leave.
While you can complete the heist without this, completing this mission means that you can pull off the heist without firing a single bullet, making it much easier to complete. Go to the Approach Specific Preps section of the whiteboard and select Exit Disguise.
Choose NOOSE Gear and launch the mission (preferably with someone to help you). Start heading toward Mission Row, which is located to the east of the city center. Here you’ll be breaking into a police station to steal the two outfits you need. Once you break into the building, you’ll gain a four-star wanted level. If you need help losing the wanted level, drive to that tunnel I keep mentioning. In case you forgot where it was, the image is posted again below:
After you lose the cops, deliver the two outfits and your mission will be completed!
The reason why we’re doing NOOSE Gear is that its prep mission is easier to complete than the fireman one. There is also a hidden exit disguise called High Roller which can be unlocked by collecting 54 playing cards hidden around GTA V’s map. Once you unlock it, you’ll have access to the outfits permanently, with no need to do the prep mission to get an exit disguise!
I never really bothered to unlock it, mainly because I didn’t feel like collecting 54 playing cards after destroying all those signal jammers to unlock the best hacker. But if you feel like doing it so you won’t have to do an exit disguise prep mission each time you do this heist, then go for it. Click here for a video guide made by YouTuber Pyre realm gaming that shows the location of every single card.
Just know that the NOOSE outfit has the benefit of making NOOSE agents friendly to you when you first leave the casino. The high roller outfit does not have this benefit. Dealing with the NOOSE isn’t that bad, however, so I think getting the high roller outfit is worth doing if you plan on making this heist your main grind and feel confident enough that you can fight past NOOSE agents without dying.
Aggressive Approach Prep Work
Alright, now it’s time for the Aggressive Approach prep work! The Aggressive Approach is incredibly fun to do. While the prep work for it doesn’t take too long, two of the missions can be difficult to complete if you aren’t prepared for them. Luckily for you, we’ve got a guide that can easily walk you through it.
1) Thermal Charges
For our first mission, we are going to need some thermal charges for getting behind locked doors inside the vault. Go to the right side of the center whiteboard and select the “Thermal Charges” mission to begin.
There are two mission variations that you can get for this prep work, one involving raiding a SeruroServ warehouse, and one where you need to attack a group of rednecks using stolen explosives.
Both are more-or-less the same. Drive to a location, kill the enemies there, and steal the thermal charges. This mission is pretty easy and straightforward, just make sure you bring some body armor and snacks beforehand as you WILL lose some health. After you grab the thermal charges, just head back to your arcade. You’ll be chased down by some NPCs in vehicles, but you can easily just keep driving and they won’t be much of a problem.
2) Vault Explosives
Next on this full walkthrough for how to do the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online, we have the vault explosives prep mission. I recommend doing this one with two players. Go back to the whiteboard you were at for the last mission and select the option to the right of the thermal charges mission. Once the mission launches, you’ll need to head to a location off the coast of the map where you can salvage some explosives. It will be heavily guarded by Merryweather security.
Once you get there, make sure that you kill every single security personal there! This is because you’ll be vulnerable when swimming in the water and can easily be killed if you get too close to one of the mercenaries. You should see a scuba suit on your minimap if you are at a dock near the location of the explosives. Grab it and head underwater once all the Merryweather have been killed. Look for a white box hidden somewhere inside the circle on your minimap. Walk into it to grab it.
If you have a friend with you they can grab the second one, but if you don’t, you’ll have to come back for it later. Once you have it, get into one of the boats on the surface and head back to shore. Then get in your car and drive back to the arcade.
Optional: Duggan Shipments
Now for our last prep mission for this approach, we are going to need to do the Duggan Shipments! This is an optional prep mission that–if completed successfully–will significantly reduce the amount of armor and firepower enemies have on this mission.
This makes the heist MUCH easier, and it’s recommended you do it if you went with the cheapest gunman. It can be selected by going to the picture directly underneath the title “General Prep Work” on the middle whiteboard.
Before starting, you should REALLY make sure you have a friend to help you with it. While it can be done solo, it’s very difficult to do it successfully without a friend. When you do begin the mission, you’ll need to destroy multiple different convoys around the map containing equipment for the Duggans’. You don’t need to destroy all of them to pass the mission, but the better you do the worse armor security forces will have on the heist.
The convoys are scattered all around the map, and you have limited time to destroy them. If you have a friend, you two can split the work up. One of you should focus on getting the shipments in the city, while the other can get only the ones in the countryside. If you divide the work this way, completing the mission should be no problem. I recommend using a weaponized helicopter or an Oppressor Mk II if you have it.
The Diamond Casino Heist
Now it’s time for the moment we’ve all been waiting for… the big heist! In order to do this heist, you are going to need at least one other person with you. If you don’t have anyone to play with, you can look for other players on gaming forums (found on websites like Reddit and Steam). Get someone who has a microphone preferably and hop on Discord together if you can.
You can start the actual heist by going to the whiteboard to the right of the one where you launched all of the prep missions. Interact with it and launch the heist. After that, you’ll be able to invite your partner, divide the payouts, and choose how you want to get in and out of the casino. Now onto the fun part!
Silent & Sneaky Approach
Silent & Sneaky Approach: Part 1
For the Silent & Sneaky approach, you are going to want to choose the Staff Lobby for both your entrance and exit. You are also going to want to select High Level for your buyer. Don’t bother with a clean vehicle or a decoy.
After you launch the heist, you’ll spawn outside your arcade with a vehicle parked nearby. Get in it and drive to the marked location on your map. Once you arrive, you’ll be at the casino and near your entrance point.
Get out of the car and run toward the green icon on your map. Use the stun gun in your inventory on the camera and it will be disabled for a few seconds, allowing you and your partner to slip past it. When you get to the green icon, you’ll find yourself having to do a hacking minigame to enter through this door.
A series of dots will flash on your screen during this minigame, and you’ll have to memorize the pattern and re-enter it to get through. The one you have to memorize will be the final pattern that flashes three times. When you get to this part, simply take a screenshot of it (F12 on PC) or a picture on your real-life phone. Now look back at the picture and fill in the pattern to do the minigame.
After that is complete, you’ll find yourself inside the casino. There will be a metal detector you need to get through. Do not run through it just yet! Beyond it will be two guards talking to one another at the desk. Aim your gun at one guard’s head and have your partner aim their gun at the other guy. Count to three and take them both out at once. Now you need to disable the metal detector. You can do this by shooting it with your stun gun. Once it’s down, walk through it before it reactivates again.
Silent & Sneaky Approach: Part 2
After you get to the other side, take a right and follow the desk down to a door locked by another hacking minigame. Shoot the guard inside of the room through the glass then start the hacking minigame, using the same strategy I recommended in the last section.
Go through the door into the next room, but don’t go through the door to the elevator just yet. In the room with the elevator is a guard patrolling the area. Luckily, he can’t see you through the glass but you do need to kill him.
Wait for him to walk by the door. Then run out and press the melee button while you have your gun equipped to kill him silently. If you go back inside the room you were just in, there should be a green button on the desk in front of the glass. Press and hold this button to open a room near the elevator. Have your partner go inside and loot the cash there.
Once they are inside, exit into the room with the elevator and take a left. Past the door you opened for your partner, there is another door on the right-hand side locked by a hacking minigame. Do the minigame again. Once you enter the door, you’ll be in a stairwell. Carefully walk down it and look over every corner, as there should be a guard patrolling it. Wait for him to walk near you then take him down just like you did the last guard – meleeing him with the butt of your gun.
Silent & Sneaky Approach: Part 3
After you deal with the guard, there should be another camera around one of the corners. Disable it with the stun gun then continue walking down until you get to the basement floor. Take a right out of the door and walk all the way down until you reach the two sets of double doors. There is a camera here, you don’t need to disable it but be careful around it. Hide near the door on the left and wait for a guard to walk through that door. Melee him to take him down then slowly continue forwards.
Don’t walk through the second doors just yet. In the next room, at the desk on your right will be two guards standing still. Take them both out with a headshot by shooting through the glass doors. After that’s done, look for the camera positioned right as you walk into the room. Disable it with a stun gun then run through the room to the opposite side. There are two other guards nearby, but you can safely ignore both of them.
Once you are in this next room, you’ll find a security checkpoint where you need to put in two cards at once to get through. Have your partner positioned at one card reader while you get the other. Count to three and press the button on the screen to enter in your cards at the same time. Now run through the doors and down the long corridor until you reach the vault storing all of the loot.
When you get to the doors, have both you and your partner interact with it. Both of you will pull out the lasers you stole earlier. The minigame to laser your way through the vault is pretty easy, just gradually press the button to activate the laser and watch the meter so it doesn’t overheat. Once both you and your partner break through the vault door, a cutscene will play and it will be time to start looting!
Silent & Sneaky Approach: Part 4
When inside the vault, you should go into first-person to make moving around easier. And you should press the jump button while sprinting to move around faster. As for the actual looting, from my experience, it’s best to have one player focused on hacking while another person does the majority of the looting. If you’re getting gold or diamonds, tell your partner to loot all the stuff in the center first, then to start looting the stuff on the right and to work counterclockwise.
But if it’s artwork, just tell him to start looting the stuff on the right and to work counterclockwise. If they encounter any locked doors, tell them to skip that particular one for now and to continue looting. While they are doing that, head to the farthest point of the room and look for any doors to hack. This time it works a bit differently.
You’ll have to match the right pictures with the fingerprints shown on the screen. We’ve included a small cheat sheet image above to help you with it (courtesty of Reddit user Rubensei).
After you’re finished with the first one, hack any other ones nearby. If your partner encountered a locked door on the right, go there and unlock it. Tell him to loot that one next when he gets a chance. Now go to the left side of the vault and unlock any doors there. If all the gates are open, you can start looting the left side of the vault to help out your partner. Once the timer in the bottom right corner says 15 seconds, no matter how much loot you have left, drop it and make way for the exit.
Silent & Sneaky Approach: Part 5
After you leave the vault, breathe a sigh of relief because you now have a checkpoint! Continue back through the corridor and get to the security checkpoint again. You’ll have to do the card reader thing once again. Once you are inside, a guard should have spawned in at the desk. Walk through the set of doors leading into the room he is in and hang a left. Don’t worry about the guard still in the security room, he can’t see you from behind the glass.
Pull out the stun gun and disable the nearby security camera. Now sneak up to the guard and melee him from behind to take him out. After that is over, head back into the room where you came in from the stairwell. Go through one set of doors while your partner goes through the other. Don’t forget the camera placed right at these doors! After you both get through, you two should be in the same room now but on the opposite side of each other.
Now that that is done, keep walking until you encounter two armed guards talking to one another. On the count of three, run up to the one on your side and melee him while your partner does the same to the one on his side. You’re probably wondering why we are doing this when we could have just walked into the stairwell by now. The reason why is that there is a bug in the game where you will automatically be detected if you kill at least one person in this room and leave at least one person alive.
Meaning, you either have to kill everyone or no one. I have yet to find a way to avoid killing anyone in this room without doing the EMP prep mission, so to my current knowledge killing everyone is the best thing to do. Going back to what I said earlier, once you kill the two guards head back to the security checkpoint. You’ll need to get inside the room with the guard behind the glass in order to kill him. Complete the hacking minigame found at the door in the checkpoint to get inside.
Shoot him in the head, and that will have killed the last guard in this room. The reason why we are doing it in this order is that if you kill the guard in this room before killing the two guards by the stairwell, it will trigger two additional guards to spawn, which makes things more challenging. Once you’re done, head back to the stairwell while avoiding the cameras and complete another hacking minigame. Walk through the door and up the stairs, disabling that camera again before continuing.
Silent & Sneaky Approach: Part 6
Once you reach the top of the stairs, you should now have a 5-star wanted level. Get to the door you first entered the stairwell through, but don’t walk through it just yet. Wait for a guard to walk past it then take him out with a melee attack from behind.
Now take a left and walk past the glass window. Don’t worry about the guards inside, they also can’t see you through the glass. If you’re going the right way, you’ll see another camera. Disable it then run past it into the next room.
Take a left and walk down the hallway until you reach another hallway leading to the left. There should be a guard patrolling down this second hallway. Wait for him to approach you while you hide in the first hallway. Take him out with a melee attack.
Now start walking down the hallway. There will be a camera on your left-hand side. Disable it then run past it. Once you reach the end of the hallway, there will be a door on your left leading into the room from earlier with the long desk.
Wait for the guard patrolling to walk past your door. You don’t have to kill him, just wait for him to walk past. Now enter the room and disable the camera to your right. And after that, shoot the metal detector with the stun gun again to disable it. Once it’s down walk through it once more and exit out the way that you came in.
Silent & Sneaky Approach: Part 7
After you exit to the outside, you should be right next to the race track. Hop over the fence and start running over the open field. There will be plenty of NOOSE agents here, so make sure you have body armor on. At this point, it’s okay for you to be detected.
The NOOSE are fairly easy to kill, and you’re almost home-free anyway. Kill any that get in your way and run to the other side of the track. Now take a right and run past the NOOSE van parked on the track.
If there are any helicopters shooting you, you can shoot their rotors (the small spinning blades at the back of the helicopter) to cause them to spin out of control and crash. Keep running past the NOOSE van. There will be another fence between you and a nearby road. Hop that fence as well and walk over to the street. Don’t bother with the getaway cars. Instead, wait for a civilian car to drive by and shoot and kill the civilian to take their ride.
Have your partner get in and then drive to the location shown in the image above. At this location is a police helicopter, which you can use to escape the police. For a detailed walkthrough on how to get to it, please check out this video here made by YouTuber Gtamen. Once you climb up the building and both you and your partner get inside the chopper, simply fly to the yellow dot shown on your map. Avoid any other police helicopters and stay high in the air while you fly there.
By the time you arrive, your wanted level should have disappeared and you’ll be able to land at the location where the buyers are stationed at. This will allow you to deliver the loot and successfully complete the Silent & Sneaky approach for the Diamond Casino Heist!
The Big Con Approach
The Big Con Approach: Part 1
When doing The Big Con approach, you’ll be forced to use the Security Tunnel for your entrance. Select the Staff Lobby for your exit, and choose the High Level buyer. After you start the heist, there will be a Gruppe Sechs armored truck parked right outside your arcade. Get into it with your partner and drive to the casino. Once you arrive there, the GPS will take you along a road and that leads to the security tunnel underneath the racetrack. Drive there and you will enter the tunnel.
Now keep driving the car along the tunnel, careful not to crash into the wall. Eventually, you’ll be stopped by a door preventing you from getting into the loading bay. Just wait a second for the guard to let you in, then drive into the spot marked on your minimap.
After you park the armored car, get out and walk to the nearby elevator. Swipe your card at the card reader to the left of it before entering. Once you arrive to the basement floor, exit the elevator and go right around the corner.
Start jogging through the basement level–being extra careful not to bump into any guards–until you arrive to a security checkpoint. You and your partners will be directed to two card readers you’ll have to activate at the same time. Count to three and follow the button prompt on the screen to swipe the card at the same time. Once the doors open, simply walk through the long corridor to the vault. A cutscene will play when you arrive, then when it ends the vault door will be open!
The Big Con Approach: Part 2
Now it’s time to start looting the vault. Before you get started grabbing the goods, you should know that you can jump around while sprinting to move faster. You can also go into first-person mode while walking around corners as it helps with maneuverability. When it comes to the actual looting, it’s best that one player focuses on hacking while the other gets the majority of the loot.
If you have gold or diamonds, tell your partner to start looting the stuff in the center of the room before moving onto all the stuff at the right side of the room, making their way counter-clockwise around the vault. While they do that, you should head to the farthest point away from the vault door. Look for any gates that are closed off.
You’ll need to open them by doing a hacking minigame. You’ll be shown a fingerprint, and you will have to find four pictures that match up to that fingerprint. We’ve included a small cheat sheet image above to help you with it (courtesty of Reddit user Rubensei).
If your partner said they encountered a locked door, head to where they are and hack open any doors there. If they found none, go to the left side of the vault and start hacking any doors there. Once they are all hacked, you can start looting all the stuff on that side of the vault before moving on to any leftovers. When the timer in the corner of your screen reaches 15 seconds, start running to the exit. If you did everything quickly, you should have most if not all of the loot safely stored away in your bags!
The Big Con Approach: Part 3
As long as you got out of the vault before the timer reached zero, no alarms should have gone off. Now it’s time to walk back down the long corridor again. Open up the doors blocked by the card readers using the same method from earlier. Then walk back through the basement to the stairs that you walked past after you exited the elevator. You’ll have to do another hacking minigame, and it’s the same as the one in the vault. Refer to the fingerprint cheat sheet above again and do the hack.
Once inside the staircase, keep walking upwards until you reach the very top. Now you should get a 5-star wanted level, which won’t be a problem once we get our exit disguise. After getting to the top of the staircase, don’t go through the door just yet.
Wait for a guard to walk past the door, then run out and melee them while you have a gun equipped. This will knock them out cold. Take a left and walk past the giant glass window. The guards on the other side can’t see you, so don’t fret about them.
After you walk past the window, you’ll see that the hallway extends to the left and leads to a door to the next room. That’s where you’ll need to go. Wait for the camera to point to the right, then walk directly underneath it. Once the camera moves it’s vision to the left and out of the way, run past it and go through the door at the end of the hallway. Have your partner do all this with you, of course.
The Big Con Approach: Part 4
When you get into the next room, there should be another door to your left. Look through this and you should see a guard patrolling around. Stand out of sight right next to the door. Wait for the guard to turn around, then run toward him and melee him as you did with the first guard.
Congrats: the hard part is over! Move towards the end of the room you’re in, then look to your left and you should see a long hallway with a guard patrolling down it.
Wait just out of his sight inside the room where the previous guard was. This other guard will walk towards your side of the hallway, but he will never walk into the actual room you’re standing in. Wait for him to reach the end of his patrol route where he will then turn around. As he is walking away, start sneaking down the hallway, but don’t bother killing him. Keep looking to your right and you will see a door that leads to the locker room.
Now that you are inside here, go to the right side of the locker room and walk near the black duffel bag sitting on the bench. When you get to it, two clothes icons will flash on your minimap. Interact with the one you’re standing at to put on your exit disguise, and order your partner to go into the next room where the other clothes icon is. Have them interact with it as well and you should now both be wearing NOOSE outfits (or whatever exit disguise you decided to wear)!
The Big Con Approach: Part 5
Since you are now dressed in your disguise, walking out should be a piece of cake. Now you and your partner just need to exit from the locker room and the laundromat room back out into the hallway.
Follow it down until you reach the end. Take the door leading into a big room with a long desk on the left and a metal detector on the right. Walk through the metal detector and turn left to the yellow dot on the ground. When you go here, a cutscene will play and the game will save a checkpoint here.
Now you are outside of the casino and on the ground floor, which is right where you need to be! Go forward and you will come across a fence between you and the race track. Hop over it and then jog through the track to the other side. When you reach the end, turn right and walk past the big NOOSE van that is parked nearby. Keep going until you hit another fence. Climb over this one and you should see a road directly in front of you. Jog towards it and then wait for a civilian car to drive by.
When one comes near, kill the driver and get into the car. We’re going to be ignoring the getaway vehicles for this mission. Shown in the image above is the location of a police helicopter. Climb up to the roof of the building it’s on using the video guide posted here. Once you are in it, get high into the air and start traveling to the yellow dot shown on your mini-map. As long as you stay clear of the police, by the time you reach the next objective your wanted level should disappear.
The yellow dot is the location of the buyers for your loot. Get to them in one piece and with your partner and the heist will conclude successfully. Congratulations, you just finished The Big Con!
Aggressive Approach
Aggressive Approach: Part 1
If you’re doing the Aggressive Approach, select the Sewers as your entrance, and the S.E. Roof Terrace as your exit point. Then choose the High Level buyer and skip over any optional stuff. Start the mission and you’ll spawn outside your arcade, with a vehicle nearby. Get into it with your partner and begin driving to your objective. The map marker will take you to the sewer entrance. You’ll have to drive off the road and into the storm drain in order to get there.
After entering the sewers, park your car inside and enter through the door marked with the yellow dot on your minimap. Walk down the corridor until you reach a wall with a black X on it. Press the interaction button to plant an explosive onto it. A cutscene will play and the next thing you know you’ll be inside the basement floor of the casino! It’s time to start fighting your way to the vault. You’ll want to be slow and tactical as you move through the basement.
Peak out of cover inside the room you spawned in and slowly take out each guard one by one. This should be pretty easy if you destroyed all of the Duggan shipments from earlier. Be sure to watch your health and armor if you get shot, and make sure to put on more of it from the weapon wheel (in case you don’t know how: open the wheel and follow the button prompts in the top left corner).
There will be guards coming at you from the front, left, and right, so make sure you stay vigilant. Your partner should be helping you shoot and kill the enemies. Once you feel safe enough to push forwards, take a left out of the room you are in and head towards the security checkpoint behind the big glass doors. Once you enter this room, there should be another set of doors locked off by two card readers. You and your partner will have to swipe your cards at the same time to enter.
Make sure there are no guards in your immediate vicinity and then interact with one of the keypads while your partner does the same to the other one. The two of you should count to three, then press the button shown on the screen at the same time to swipe your cards. This will open the doors and allow you entry. Walk down through the long corridor until you reach the vault door.
Aggressive Approach: Part 2
Both you and your partner need to walk up to it and press the interaction button to place some explosives on it. After both sides of the vault are covered in explosives, have you and your partner step as far away from the vault doors as you can. Then open up your phone, go to contacts, and select “Detonate Bomb.” This will blow the doors open and allow you inside!
Before entering, remember two things: you can jump while sprinting to get around faster, and you can go into first-person mode to maneuver around walls and doors more easily. When it comes to the looting, it’s best that one person agrees to go to the left side of the vault first while the other loots the stuff on the right.
The first thing you should do when getting there is look for a locked door and then place a satchel charge on it. While that’s going off, run to a second locked door if there is one on your side of the vault and be ready to place another one there as soon as the previous charge ends. If there isn’t one nearby, no big deal. Wait for a door to open then run inside and grab any loot you can find. Make sure your partner knows to do all of this as well!
Strangely, you cannot loot any nearby stashes while waiting for the satchel charge to break through the door, so don’t bother with trying to do so. Continue clearing out your assigned side of the vault. If you have gold or diamonds and you used two satchel charges, then move to the middle of the vault and start looting there. While doing this, have your partner start looting the top of the vault.
If you only used one satchel charge, head to the top of the vault and repeat the process while your partner gets the stuff in the middle. If you have artwork, then both you and your partner should start looting the top of the vault together. Once the timer reaches 0, then you should start running out of the vault if you haven’t already. You can survive in the nerve agent for a decent amount of time, so don’t worry about dying.
Aggressive Approach: Part 3
After you and your partner have exited, the doors you came in through will now be locked by the same two-card system from earlier. Do what you did before and you’ll get through. You should now have a checkpoint here, so don’t stress too much if you die in this next part.
Continue walking through the long corridor back to the security checkpoint from earlier. Eat some snacks and put on some body armor if you need it, as you need to be ready for another fight. Slowly press forwards white shooting through the glass doors at the guards on the other side.
There will be enemies that spawn in front of you on the other side of the basement floor, but most of the resistance will come from your left-hand side. Keep killing guards while slowly pushing forwards, making sure to take cover often and use snacks and armor when you need it. Fight your way to the other side of the basement until you reach the stairwell. It’s blocked by a door and you need to do a hacking minigame to get into it. Interact with the keypad to start the minigame.
Make sure your partner is there to guard you before you start the minigame! When it does begin, a series of different patterns of dots will flash on your screen. The one that flashes on the screen three times with a distinct sound effect is the only one you’ll have to worry about. Take a picture of the pattern shown on your real-life phone or by taking a screenshot (F12 on PC). After the dots are done flashing, you’ll have to re-enter them into the keypad.
Take out that picture/screenshot and use it to help you match up the dots in the right places. You’ll need to do this process three times in total. Once you’ve finished the hacking minigame, the door will unlock and you and your partner can start heading up the stairwell! Just be mindful of any enemies inside.
Aggressive Approach: Part 4
Once you get to the top, exit through the door and take a left around the corner. There should be two guards in the hallway. Kill them and turn right into the security room with the big glass window. After you get inside, you’ll see another door to your left. This door has a glass window on it that the guards can shoot through, so be mindful of that. Shoot any enemies in the next room through this window.
When you’ve cleared them out, move forwards in the security room and there should be another identical door to your left. Shoot through the glass window on this door to kill the guards on the other side. Then move through the door and take out all the guards to your right.
After that room is clear of enemies, go back into the security room and go to the desk by the big glass door facing the elevator. There should be a green button on the desk for you to press. Press and hold the interaction button to open a door in the room with the elevator. Have your partner go inside that room and when they are in, let go of the button. Inside this room is some extra cash that they can pick up to help boost your final cut.
Aggressive Approach: Part 5
Once they’re done, walk through the door inside the security room that is to the right of the door that leads to the room with the elevator. After you walk through it, turn left and start heading down the hallway. If you’re going the right way, there should be a set of double doors with a sign to the right of it that reads: “Offices” and “Hotel” with an arrow pointing forwards. Go through these doors and kill and guards in your way.
On the right-hand side if you look at your minimap, there should be a black and yellow icon of some stairs. Go to the location of that icon and you’ll enter through a door into a stairwell. Kill the guard just inside and begin heading up the stairs. Fight your way past all of the other guards stationed there, and eventually, you will reach the fifth floor. When you get to the giant 5 on the wall, take a right and go through the door. Kill the guard to your right, then go left down the hallway.
Eventually, you will reach a T intersection. Go right here and head towards the yellow dot on your minimap. You should see a yellow dot on the ground to your left. Walk into it and you’ll exit outside the casino! A cutscene will play and you will gain a checkpoint here.
Aggressive Approach: Part 6
After the cutscene ends, walk up to the edge of the roof and you will see the race track. Do you spot that big NOOSE van on the other side of it? That’s where we need to go. But first, turn left and walk across the roof until you are in the middle of the pond on the track. Kill any NOOSE agents that you see from this part of the roof.
Make sure you have full health and armor, then walk off the building and spam the button to open your parachute. Once you and your partner have landed on the ground, keep moving forwards across the track. There may be some NOOSE agents to your left if you didn’t kill them earlier, so be sure to shoot them.
Jog past the big pond and to the other side of the track, then take a right and start heading toward the NOOSE van. If you see any helicopters, be sure to destroy them by shooting at the rotor. This is a small spinning blade on the back of the helicopter that when destroyed will cause them to spin out of control and crash.
After they are taken care of, keep moving past the NOOSE van and kill the enemies stationed there. There is another fence past the NOOSE van in between you and a road. Get there and climb over it, then head for the street. Shoot and kill a civilian in their car as they drive past, then get inside their vehicle with your partner.
Aggressive Approach: Part 7
Now, that you have a civilian car, you and your partner are going to want to head to this location on the map below.
When you get there, you should see a police helicopter parked on top of the roof of a building. For complete instructions on how to climb up this building, please check out the guide made by YouTuber Gtaman by clicking the link here.
Once you and your partner are inside the helicopter, get high into the air and start heading to the location of your buyer (shown as the yellow dot on your map). If you get fairly high up and avoid any police helicopters, your wanted level will soon disappear.
Now that that’s done, all you need to do is safely land at the location of the buyers. And when you do that, the heist will conclude and you’ll have successfully completed the Diamond Casino heist using the Aggressive Approach. Congratulations!
