Without any more delays, let’s jump right into this walkthrough for becoming a VIP!

What Does Being a VIP Mean?

If you know anything about GTA Online, chances are you’re familiar with CEOs and MC Club Presidents. Both of these are in-game positions you can register as if you own the right properties, and you’ll need to be one or the other in order to use certain money-making businesses in the game. They also allow you to recruit other people to work with you. Think of it as your traditional RPG party.

VIPs work very similarly, albeit with fewer benefits and easier registration requirements. If you become a VIP, you can create an organization and team up with other players in the lobby. They can then protect you and help you complete missions.

Once you’re registered, you can launch VIP Work — missions you and your team can complete to make some money. Headhunter is the most popular one, and it’s one of the best for making quick cash. You can also do VIP Challenges, which are similar to VIP Work except that they’re more like competitions between members of your organization.

Finally, being a VIP allows you to operate certain businesses. While it’s better to register as a CEO or MC President, you’ll need a CEO Office and MC Clubhouse, respectively, in order to do so. Being a VIP lets you work with certain businesses even if you don’t currently own one of those properties.

How Do You Become a VIP?

To become a VIP in GTA Online, the first thing you need to do is hold at least $50,000 in your bank account. This is a relatively small amount of money, and most new players should have no trouble getting it just by playing the game. Once you have the money, open up your interaction menu (the default key on PC is ‘M’).

Scroll down and select the “SecuroServ” option. From here, you can register as a VIP and create an organization. SecuroServ will be your default VIP app moving forward. You can use it to invite other players to join your organization (they have to be in the session to receive an invite) and launch the VIP Work and Challenges we mentioned earlier.

There are a few things to note before trying to register as a VIP. There can only be a certain number of organizations in a session, so if you join a heavily populated lobby and can’t register, you may have to find a new session. You can also only be a VIP for a total of four hours in free roam. This is still more than enough time for you to complete plenty of missions with friends and enjoy all the benefits of being a VIP.
