Collecting cars in GTA 5 Online is one of the most common hobbies a player can have. There’s a HUGE number of vehicles that exist in the game, and new ones are being added all the time. Purchasing a garage and filling it up with vehicles is incredibly satisfying, and it’s a great way to show off to other players. Especially when you own some of the rarest cars in GTA 5 Online.
There are several vehicles in the game that are incredibly hard to get a hold of, and when you do get them they make an incredible addition to any car guy’s collection. That’s why in this article, we are going to be discussing 10 of The Rarest Cars in GTA Online!
10 of the Rarest Cars in GTA 5 Online, Ranked Uncommon to Ultra Rare
With that introduction done and out of the way, let’s hop right into this article! We’ll be ranking the vehicles from incredibly uncommon to rarer than a unicorn. While some of these may be relatively easy to get, they’re still incredibly rare and unlikely to be owned by other players.
10/10
Modded Dubsta 2
For the first entry on our list, we have the Modded Dubsta 2. This car used to be nigh impossible to get, but thanks to the Diamond Casino & Resort update it has become noticeably easier to obtain. It is a decked-out, luxury version of the Dubsta car. Many players who hunt for rare cars consider this one of the finer rare cars in the game.
It shares a similar appearance to the regular Dubsta, but with a golden paint job and several key modifications. The car features a roof rack as well as a spare tire on its hood. Its wheels are also much more luxurious and look like something you’d see in Benny’s Original Motorworks. The car is a 4-door luxury SUV, making it a really great car to drive around for Sunday commutes.
If you want to obtain this car, the easiest way is to purchase a Diamond Casino Penthouse from the Diamond Casino’s website. After that, you can call up Agatha Baker from your contacts list. Then request a luxury car from her, and select the Dubsta. Once it spawns it, you can store it at your garage, allowing you to own your very own Dubsta 2!
9/10
Fully Loaded Imponte Ruiner 2000
Onto the second vehicle on this list, let’s take a look at the Imponte Ruiner 2000. Or to be more exact, the Fully Loaded variant of it. The Imponte Ruiner is a weaponized and armored vehicle that is known as being one of the most overpriced cars in the game. It costs players over 5 million dollars for the normal variant! The Fully Loaded variant, however, is free to obtain and features one key benefit over the regular model: it can fire an UNLIMITED amount of rockets!
The Fully Loaded Imponte Ruiner 2000 shares the same model as the regular Imponte Ruiner. It is a black car that belongs to the muscle car class. It features visible missiles on the front of the vehicle, which makes sense as it is a weaponized car. The vehicle is pretty sleek and stylish, and it reminds me of something that I would see in a James Bond movie!
This variant of the Imponte Ruiner can only be acquired through a CEO mission. To get it, purchase a CEO office from the website Dynasty 8 Executives. Then Register as a CEO and launch the mission Fully Loaded (both of these things can be done through the Interaction Menu). Once you start the mission, you will be directed to a part of the map where the Ruiner will spawn. Get in it and complete the mission and now you will have the Ruiner! Just keep in mind that you cannot store it in your garage. And you will have to do the mission again once you lose this car.
8/10
FIB Granger
For the next vehicle on this list of 10 of The Rarest Cars in GTA Online, we have the FIB Granger. This is another FIB variant of a pre-existing vehicle in GTA Online. Due to how it is obtained, it is also a very rare vehicle to be seen being driven around by another player. This vehicle acts as the main replacement vehicle for the FIB Buffalo, which is why that car is so rare to see being used by law enforcement in GTA V.
This car is black in color and features a long body. It also has police sirens in the vehicle, which when activated will cause civilian AIs to pull over and out of the way of the road. It’s a pretty basic car compared to a lot of the other things available on this list, but I still like the model of it and I think it’s a good-looking car to drive around the city in.
In order to get this car to spawn, you will need to obtain a 4-star wanted level by causing some chaos. After you do that, it will start to spawn in, carrying NOOSE agents riding on the side of it. Kill the NPCs that are in this vehicle, and then take the car for yourself. Once you lose your wanted level, you will now have the vehicle in your possession without anyone to try and take it away from you!
7/10
Rusted Tractor
Onto our next rare vehicle, we have the Rusted Tractor. This is another infamous vehicle in the GTA Online player base… Due to the fact that it is incredibly rare and hard to obtain. I have no idea why Rockstar insists on making this vehicle so hard to get. Especially considering its very low stats and lack of practical uses. But then again, it is Rockstar we’re talking about.
Its appearance is exactly as it’s described in the title. It is an old, rusted tractor that has had all of its paint completely stripped away, leaving behind what is more or less a jalopy of a tractor. It is an old-fashioned tractor at that, featuring a classic-looking body and wheels that make it the dream vehicle of any vintage collector.
To obtain the Rusted Tractor in GTA Online, players will need to purchase an Arena Wars Workshop. Once that is acquired, they’ll need to grind through the Arena Wars missions until they reach a whopping rank 1,000 in the Sponsorship Tier. Once this is obtained, you will be “rewarded” with this vehicle. It can be spawned at any time by contacting Pegasus on your phone and requesting it to be delivered nearby.
6/10
Merryweather Canis Mesa
Next up, we have the Merryweather variant of the car Canis Mesa. Canis Mesa is an off-road car that is based on the regular Canis Mesa model. It is commonly used by the mercenary company Merryweather, making it a common vehicle to see when playing through missions that have the faction in it. This definitely isn’t the best off-road vehicle in the game, but it makes a great addition to any car collection.
The vehicle features a fairly high suspension as well as off-road wheels. This makes it a really good car for roughing it out in the wild and getting over rugged terrain. I love the overall design of the vehicle, and the thought of stealing a car from Merryweather and keeping it for yourself is incredibly satisfying to me.
If you want to get your own Merryweather variant of the Canis Mesa, there are two ways in particular. You could either steal it or just buy it yourself. If you want to steal one, you can do so by finding it while doing a mission with Merryweather in it, such as the bunker sell mission. Alternatively, you could just purchase the vehicle for a price tag of exactly $87,000.
5/10
Rat Loader
Now onto spot number 5 on this list, we have the Rat Loader! This is another beaten-up, worn-down vehicle that has most certainly seen better days. This car is most certainly one of the most rare ones in GTA Online, as I don’t recall ever seeing it outside of a YouTube video discussing rare cars. This may not be the best one to grab considering its appearance, but if you like rare cars then be sure to get it.
Speaking of its appearance, the vehicle is black in color, and it has many props of junk strapped to the back of the vehicle like it is hauling away some old stuff to the junkyard. The model itself looks like a classic car from the 1950s, so it must have been a really nice-looking vehicle back in the day. This car is classed as a muscle car, so if you like those kinds of vehicles, maybe consider getting this one.
If you want to acquire the Rat Loader, you can actually just purchase the vehicle for a small sum of $6,000. This makes it literally one of the cheapest and easiest-to-obtain vehicles in the game. It’s not rare because of how you obtain it, but probably just because of the way it looks. If you know someone who is holding a jalopy-themed car meet, then you should bring this one as it will most likely be the most unique vehicle there.
4/10
Space Docker
For the next pick on our list, we have the Space Docker. This is a really weird-looking and special vehicle that you may recognize from the single-player mode of Grand Theft Auto V. It acted as a special vehicle that you could unlock after collecting all of the spaceship parts that are located around the map. Rockstar eventually added the vehicle as a special unlock for players to get for their online characters.
Talking about the look of the vehicle for a second, I can’t decide if it looks more like something ripped straight out of a Back to The Future movie, or like something you would see at a Star Wars convention. It features a gray, red, and blue color scheme with all kinds of trash and sci-fi gizmos haphazardly attached to it. The vehicle is pretty funny looking, especially when you notice the giant trash can strapped to the side of it.
In order to obtain this car, you first need to purchase an Arena War workshop from the Arena Wars website in GTA Online. After that, you will need to play some of the Arena Wars DLC content until you reach Sponsorship Rank 500. It will then be given to you and you can spawn it in at any time by calling up Pegasus and requesting it to be delivered to you nearby.
3/10
FIB Buffalo
Up next on this list of the 10 Rarest Cars in GTA Online, we have the FIB Buffalo! The FIB variant of the buffalo muscle car was one of my absolute favorite vehicles to own in GTA IV. I loved grabbing it during that one-story mission and then taking it back to my apartment so I could use it to do vigilante missions later. I was so glad to see it return to GTA V and more importantly, GTA Online.
The FIB buffalo is different from the regular buffalo in several ways. For starters, its default color is a dark shade of black, which is fitting as it’s an FIB car. It also has police sirens which when activated will cause civilian drivers to get out of the way when you are driving behind them. I really love the police sirens on these things: even if they aren’t exactly practical, they are still really cool to have on a personal vehicle.
So how do you get a hold of this car, anyway? In order to obtain it, you first need to launch a specific VIP mission after registering as a VIP from the Interaction Menu. After doing so, launch the VIP mission Hostile Takeover, also from the Interaction Menu. Then travel to the Los Santos International Airport, located at the bottom left of Los Santos. It will spawn inside of a hangar located at the airport.
2/10
Declasse Tornado Mariachi
For the second-to-last car on our list, let’s take a look at the Declasse Tornado – specifically the mariachi variant of it. The Declasse Tornado is a classic sports car that is commonly used in GTA Online to make lowriders at Benny’s Original Motorworks. In addition to the regular Declasse Tornado, there is also a variant of it that is much more run down and beaten up, resembling that of a jalopy.
In addition to being beaten up, this particular variant of the vehicle also holds mariachi band equipment in the beat seats of the car! While this equipment sadly cannot be used to start your own mariachi band, it still makes a great decorative piece for the vehicle. It almost makes you ignore the fact you are driving a beaten-up old jalopy. Almost.
In order to get this vehicle, you cannot purchase it from any in-game store or website. Instead, you will need to find it yourself out on the street and bring it back to your garage where it can be stored. It will spawn naturally in the Altruist Camp up in the mountains, as well as by the Ammu-Nation store located in the Great Chaparral. Most players do not own this vehicle, making you very lucky if you are able to find one and bring it home to your garage.
1/10
Lost Slamvan
For our final entry on the list, we have the infamous Lost Slamvan. This is a very rare and hard-to-obtain vehicle. It is a variant of the regular Slamvan (shown above), but has been heavily modified to resemble a van instead of a pick-up truck. The vehicle has a black and red color scheme, and is used very commonly by the Lost MC motorcycle gang in San Andreas during the events of GTA V.
While it is a fairly common vehicle to see during missions, more specifically those with Lost MC bikers as enemies. What is incredibly rare, however, is seeing a Lost Slamvan that is owned by another player. I have never seen one in my 650+ hours of playing GTA Online, aside from watching a few YouTube videos where someone showed it off. But just why is a personally-owned Lost Slamvan so rare?
Because the only way to get a Lost Slamvan is by winning it at the Diamond Casino & Resort. Unlike most cars in the game, you cannot just purchase it from a website. You have to spin the wheel (which can only be done once every 24 hours) and hope that it lands on the “Mystery” prize. If it lands on that (unlikely) then there is a small chance the game will give you a vehicle. And even then it is not guaranteed to be a Lost Slamvan. According to the GTA Wiki, the odds of winning it are 1 in 20,000!
