ESO Latest Events, News, & Upcoming Chapter

Everything happening in Tamriel right now!

Whether you are a new or returning player, there is plenty to look forward to in The Elder Scrolls Online in 2024. ESO is celebrating its 10th anniversary and introducing a new chapter, The Gold Road in June.

I have been playing ESO for a few years and love participating in events with friends, trying new PvE content, and spending time designing homes. Whether it’s creating a new build or exploring a new zone, the Elder Scrolls Online is my bread and butter. I hope I can help some fellow players along the way.

Below, you’ll find an overview of all of our ESO guides. Then, l’ll talk about what’s new in-game. Be sure to bookmark this page to keep in the know about all the exciting ESO news and updates.

Anniversary Jubilee Event (April 4th – April 23)

The Elder Scrolls Online is celebrating its 10th anniversary this April. ZOS is hosting a live celebration in Amsterdam and an in-game Anniversary Jubilee Event that will allow players to celebrate together, participate in events, and earn rewards. I wanted to add some helpful tips to help you earn more rewards during the event and make the most out of it.

How to Get Started:

To get your Anniversary Jubilee Cake Memento pick up the quest “For Cake’s Sake” from Mogh in Vulkhel Guard, Davon’s Watch, and Daggerfall! Alternatively, you can find it in the Crown Store under Quest Starters.

Once you have the Cake Memento make sure to use it and eat cake once a day to earn 3 tickets. I recommend logging on as much as possible during this event to get those tickets.

How to earn Anniversary Gift Boxes:

You can earn one Glorious Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes a day. After that, you will receive Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes.  Here are some of my favorite ways to earn reward boxes during the Jubilee Event:

  • Daily Crafting Writs
  • Daily Dungeon quests (and Trial quests)
  • Daily Delve Quests, World Boss Daily Quests, and Daily Incursions
  • Killing and Looting final bosses in Dungeons
  • Killing and Looting World Bosses and more!

What to Look Forward to:

  • Double XP: Now is one of the best times for creating new characters because of the Double XP available from now till April 23rd!
  • Rare rewards available like the Jubilee Steed Mount
  • Special rewards from the Impresario and Indriks available from the Indrik Vendor in Belkarth
  • The Staff of Worms Replica Style Page can drop from any dolmen across ESO
  • World Bosses in Vvardenfell can drop Barbas Helmet Replica or the Sunna’rah Replica
  • Geysers in Summerset have a chance to drop the Ul’vor Staff style page

This is another great event every year, not just for the fun rewards but to see so many players out enjoying all that ESO has to offer.

Scions of Ithelia & Update 41 (March 11th/March 26th)

2 new 4-player DLC Dungeons are coming out on March 11th on PC and March 26th on Xbox and PS. Oathsworn Pit and Bedlam Veil will give us a sneak peek of what is to come in June with the new Gold Road chapter. These dungeons will have new item sets, achievements, and collectibles for players to unlock. Sets like Blind Path Induction and Cinders of Anthelmir caught my eye. You can also get the Bloodmarks of Malacth skin for completing both dungeons on Veteran mode and a dye for doing additional content.

These new dungeons were a lot of fun to fight through, so if you are into PvE content give those a try. I recommend running it on Normal first so you can hear the story and take in the scenery. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Some Honorable Mentions:

ESO Spring Roadmap

New class set style pages are being added to the Infinite Archives and I am particularly interested in the Gardner of the Seasons pages for my Warden. These style pages can drop from chests in the Infinite Archives. A new mythic item will also drop from the Infinite Archives, The Torc of the Last Ayleid King. I have yet to check out the new Mythic but I am eager to test it out.

There are 2 new player houses Willowpond Haven and Sword-Singer’s Redoubt added to ESO. For all my fellow housing enthusiasts out there, 7 new master writ furnishing plans are available from Rolis Hlaalu in Elden Root, Wayrest, and Ebonheart.

Additionally, adjustments have been made to different classes and their abilities. I’m enjoying the changes to the Sorcerer with Restraining Prison (now Vibrant Shroud) being a burst heal and Conjured Ward rework. Though the Arcanist did receive a damage reduction to Fatecarver, I didn’t find it too disruptive to my PvE experience. Check out the patch notes for more about these changes in the Update 41 patch notes

Gold Road Chapter (June 18th)

This June, The Elder Scrolls Online introduces its new chapter The Gold Road. I am excited to see how the story of the forgotten Daedric Prince Ithelia will continue after playing the Necrom Chapter. There’s lots to look forward to from exploring new towns like Skingrad (pictured above) to the new Scribing system. If you like Tales of Tribute, a new deck St. Alessia will be coming out with this chapter as well.

You can check out the Gold Road Cinematic announcement trailer here. Check back in with us at High Ground Gaming for a more in-depth look at the new chapter!
