ESO 2025 Global Reveal: Everything you Need to Know

Dive into all the 2025 ESO global reveal details!

The 2025 ESO Global reveal, unveiled some big changes and new content being introduced to the Elder Scrolls Online. After attending the ESO Direct and the post show with ZeniMax community managers, I put this guide together to help players who missed it or want a summary of what was introduced. This guide will cover the new Seasons model, subclasses, and all the exciting new stuff to come. Get ready to get creative and explore new areas of Tamriel.

 Let’s get started!

ESO Global Reveal Overview

On April 10th, Elder Scrolls Online had their global reveal event where the Seasonal Content model was explained. The Seasonal Pass will include a new adventure, new zone, 2 dungeon packs ,and a massive community event. In addition, a new subclassing system and quality of life changes were showcased. ZeniMax Developers shared how they want to take more time to focus on improving player experience, existing zones, and addressing longstanding player feedback.

If you would like to watch the entire global reveal you can check it out here.

Seasons of the Worm Cult

Release Dates: June 2nd on PC & June 18th on Console

Seasons of the Worm Cult will introduce ESO players to the all new content release model that the Elder Scrolls Online will follow from now on. This Season is centered around Mannimarco’s Worm Cult and will take players on an exciting new adventure continuing the main story line of the game.

The prologue quest ” A Guild in Crisis” is now available for all players for free in the Crown Store under “Quest Starters”. Additionally, this quest will feature new Player Response options for your character to choose from. I recommend checking it out, plus you can get a free Mind-Shriven Mudcrab pet by completing it.

Writhing Wall Event

The Writhing Wall event was announced with the Seasons of the Worm Cult Content Pass. You can join other players to fight against the Worm Cult during this event to bring down the wall and gain access to the 2nd half of the zone. The second half of the Season will contain the Story finale and access to the 2nd part of the new zone: Eastern Solstice! I think events that involve the community are incredibly fun, so I am thrilled to see this revealed. To have a look at the new Season and all the rewards that come with purchasing it you can check out this guide.

Dungeon Packs

ESO Plus subscribers will still receive the Dungeon Packs when they are released. If you purchase the Season Pass you will own the Dungeons whether or not you have ESO Plus.

Explore a New Zone: Solstice

Solstice is an island located off the coast of Murkmire where the Seasons of the Worm Cult will be taking place. The coastal city Sunport, beautifully blends High Elf and Argonian architecture together. There is no shortage of things to do on Solstice from a new Trial called Ossein Cage to a new story quest, and places to explore.

New Subclassing System

During the global reveal stream, ESO developers announced a brand new feature Subclassing. There will be a small quest to complete that will unlock the ability to use Subclasses. This feature will be added to the base game in June, so anyone can try it out for free. Once you unlock it on your main character, it will be available account wide.

How does Subclassing work?

When choosing a Subclass, you must always maintain 1 skill line from your class. You can choose to have 2 Subclass skill lines but they have to be from different classes. For example if your main class is a Templar, you can pick one skill line from the Warden class and keep 2 of your Templar skill lines or choose another skill line from the Dragonknight or Arcanist class.

I think this is an interesting addition to the game and will allow for more creativity when making new builds. According to the developers there are around 3,000 combinations and ways to make a build that fits your playstyle in ESO.

Update 46 – Base Game Updates

Lastly, after the ESO global reveal stream I attended the aftershow stream where Gina Bruno and Jessica Folsom went over some of the upcoming content. Update 46 will arrive to the Elder Scrolls Online in June of 2025.

The update will contain a number of additions that are noteworthy. To check out the full Update 46 Patch Notes you can click here. My favorite addition is the all new Furnishing Vault item! If you enjoy decorating and housing, this feature will be incredibly helpful for organizing storage houses and keeping furnishings out of your bank/inventory. Along with this feature players can expect the following:

  • Console Add-ons
  • Ps5 Pro support
  • 3 new houses
  • Stackable Master Writs
  • Subclasses
  • Furnishing Vault

We hope you found this guide useful! For more a more details on what is to come, visit my ESO News Page where I will continue to update everything coming to ESO in 2025.
