The Los Santos Drug Wars DLC may have been released several months ago, but that does not mean we wouldn’t be getting any more content for it. This DLC–like many before it–has had some of its content drip fed to players over the course of several weeks. One such piece of drip-fed content introduced to GTA Online is Gerald’s Caches (or better known as G’s Caches).
But just what are G’s Caches, you may ask? How do you get started on them? And are they worth doing? In this GTA Online guide for G’s Caches, we are going to be going over exactly what they are and how you can complete them as quickly and easily as possible.
Guide to G’s Caches in GTA Online
With no more delays, let’s jump right into this GTA Online guide!
What Are G’s Caches?
Gerald’s Caches–also known as G’s Caches–are a new type of daily activity that you can complete in GTA Online. Each day, a new location for a cache will appear around the map. Players can head to these locations and look for a box covered in colored tape. Once this item is found and collected, players will get some money as well as some ammo and snacks!
The total payout for getting one cache is not that high, giving you only about $15,000 – $20,000 in total. However, due to the fact that they can be completed fairly fast and are available to all players without the need to purchase anything… these become a pretty good way for new players to make some money in GTA Online. So just how do you complete them, anyway?
Where to Find G’s Caches & Location
When you log into GTA Online, you should receive a text message from your contact Gerald. He will inform you about these caches that he has scattered around town. To go to one, open your map and look for a purple icon of a box.
Once you see it, head over to that location. When you arrive to the exact spot, a big circle will appear on your mini-map. This is the search area, and it’s where you’ll be looking for the cache.
Now just run around the area, keeping your eyes peeled for the cache. As previously mentioned, it looks like a little cardboard package with colored tape on it. After you find the box, simply walk into it and your character will automatically collect it.
Once collected, you will be given your money and some other rewards. To complete another, simply wait until the next real-world day in order for another one to spawn on the map.
