Before Yuumi earned the title of most hated champion in the whole game, it belonged to Teemo: a little Yordle with an infuriating giggle.
Teemo has the ability to transform even the calmest of top laners into a tilted, chaotic mess. Practically all of his attacks are designed to counter his opponent’s every move. His blind is obnoxious, his W allows him to evade ganks effortlessly, and his poisonous mushrooms transform the Rift into his personal minefield.
If you’re a sadist — i.e. you enjoy making your opponents suffer and rage quit — then Teemo as a champion will be right up your alley. Of course, you’ll want to look the part too while you’re securing kill after kill; below we’ve ranked the best Teemo skins in League of Legends!
Hut, two, three, four… let’s begin!
#13 Badger Teemo
➡️ Release Date: January 13, 2010 | Cost: 1350 RP
There’s no debate that Teemo looks like a small, fluffy creature. There’s also no debate that Riot loves to exploit adorable qualities in the hopes of getting us to part with our money. But on this occasion? I’ll have to pass. Badger Teemo is ultimately just a dull recolor of his base skin. So yep, you’re paying a premium price for a sub-par chroma. The only redeeming feature of this skin is the splash art: it captures the sadistic side of Teemo perfectly.
#12 Happy Elf Teemo
➡️ Release Date: December 17, 2009 | Cost: 520 RP
Happy Elf adds a festive twist to Teemo’s base skin; while he still sports the classic scout color scheme and gear, he now rocks a green Santa hat, an elf suit, and a bag brimming with candy canes. His bamboo dart has also been upgraded with a touch of holly.
While I do like how Riot stayed true to Teemo’s character, I’m not overly impressed by the skin. It’s just too subtle for my liking. You can’t even tell it’s a Christmas skin in-game unless you zoom up super close (something which would no doubt leave you staring at the gray screen of death). At 520 RP though, I’m not going to hold a grudge too much… I have seen what happens when people hold grudges during the festive period (ahem, Scrooge).
#11 Recon Teemo
➡️ Release Date: December 17, 2009 | Cost: 520 RP
Again, this is another super subtle skin. You can’t really pick up on anything particularly different while playing. With that said, I do like it slightly more than Happy Elf Teemo.
For starters, I absolutely love the new camouflage texture on his hat; it honors his scout lore and truly complements his stealth-themed kit. The face paint is also a nice touch and upgrades Teemo from an adorable Yordle into a little more… deadly Yordle, which is pretty neat if you’re not a huge fan of the overly-cute aesthetic.
#10 Panda Teemo
➡️ Release Date: July 9, 2012 | Cost: 975 RP
Finally—a skin that’s noticeably different from Teemo’s base model! Panda Teemo won’t suit everyone’s tastes, but I do appreciate it, especially when you take into account the budget-friendly price. It essentially puts Teemo into a panda suit.
The overall look is equal parts hilarious and adorable, and it’s complemented by a bamboo-inspired rucksack and weapon. Plus, you even get some whole new animations. For example, instead of mushrooms Teemo now shoots out bamboo leaf-wrapped rice dumplings (which is sure to leave your enemies hangry).
#9 Super Teemo
➡️ Release Date: October 10, 2011 | Cost: 975 RP
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, it’s Super Teemo!
Super Teemo is the perfect skin for hardcore comic book fans. His new outfit genuinely transforms him into a badass superhero — a look any comic con cosplayer would be jealous of — and the skin also pays homage to the iconic superman colors (red, yellow, and blue).
Even his animations look like they’re straight out of a comic book’s pages. Each one is vibrant, packed with plenty of oomph, and incorporates the superhero theme beautifully. The best animation though has to be his W ability —- it literally allows you to fly around the map, with your cape flowing majestically behind you. Just imagine the enemy watching that while you escape from their… “perfectly timed” gank. Pure, tilt-inducing bliss.
#8 Astronaut Teemo
➡️ Release Date: October 27, 2010 | Cost: 1350 RP
For those who want something a little more otherworldly (yes, we’re talking beyond the realms of the known universe), Astronaut Teemo is worth your buck. The overall look is incredibly polished and I can’t exactly fault it. It delivers exactly what you would expect: Teemo in an astronaut suit, equipped with a space-themed weapon. I especially love the fact that the helmet has accommodated his little ears.
The attack animations are also smooth, the sound effects aren’t grating on the ears, and the W animation helps you feel like you’re truly defying gravity. The only reason I’ve put this skin in the 8th spot? There’s another space-themed Teemo skin I love a whole lot more, so stay tuned for that!
#7 Firecracker Teemo
➡️ Release Date: January 26, 2022 | Cost: 1350 RP
Firecracker Teemo boasts one of the most intricate, visually impressive character models out there. Every single element is breathtaking and bursting with details, from the stylized clouds on his sleeves to the texture of his fur. Even his weapon has been embellished with gold and gorgeous patterns. The overall color palette also suits Teemo insanely well and adds a majestic, elegant flair.
The animations are equally jaw-dropping and really play up to the firecracker theme. Your Q shoots out fire darts, your W leaves a trail of fiery energy behind, and the mushrooms are now “bomb” dumplings that explode into fireworks. So yeah, there’s a whole lot to love about this skin! My only “gripe” is I wish the sound effects were a bit more… explosive, but I can’t really fault them too hard. They still sound great overall.
#6 Cottontail Teemo
➡️ Release Date: April 18, 2011 | Cost: 975 RP
I absolutely love bunnies. They’re fluffy, cute, and have a boundless energy that you can’t help but fall in love with. So, you can guess why this is one of my all-time favorite Teemo skins! Yep. It puts him in an Easter Bunny outfit. Not only that, but he also carries around a basket with colorful Easter eggs.
This skin isn’t just adorable to look at; it’s also incredibly tilt-inducing. There’s nothing more infuriating than watching a rabbit giggling away while he chunks down your health bar with exploding Easter eggs and carrots. The enemy top laner is sure to rage quit and lose the mental war as soon as they see that skin in the loading screen.
#5 Spirit Blossom Teemo (and Prestige Edition)
➡️ Release Date: July 22, 2020 | Cost: 1350 RP
Spirit Blossom — a skin line that blends together Japanese folklore, mysticism, and nature — is widely considered to be one of the best skin lines in the whole game. So, when news of Spirit Blossom Teemo was announced? You can betcha Teemo OTPs across the world rejoiced. Luckily, Spirit Blossom Teemo did live up to expectations.
In this skin, Teemo gives up his Yordle roots and assumes the form of a tanuki — incredibly adorable and befitting when you take into account that tanukis are a huge part of Japanese folklore. He also rocks a mystical yet elegant outfit.
While the pastel pink and blue color palette won’t please everyone, I personally love it and feel it adds a calming, soothing presence to my screen… something that definitely comes in handy when playing Ranked Solo/Duo. Plus, like virtually all Spirit Blossom skins, the animations are smooth, distinguishable, and bursting with floral, ethereal goodness.
Now there is a Prestige Edition of Spirit Blossom, but since I’m a sucker for pink, I actually prefer the standard skin. With that said, the Prestige version does add plenty of neat perks, including more petals, sparkly gold hues, and an upgraded death animation.
#4 Space Groove Teemo
➡️ Release Date: November 17, 2022 | Cost: 1820 RP
This is by far the most vibrant Teemo skin, and I’m here for it. Playing with this skin is like a psychedelic trip; it transforms Teemo into a groovin’, neon alien who slays enemies with disco vibes.
As a legendary skin, you also get whole new animations, sound effects, voice lines, and particle effects. Fortunately, nothing falls short. The sound effects immerse you in the space groove theme perfectly and the attack animations are a huge upgrade on Teemo’s clunky, outdated base animations. Plus, the actual character model movement is super bouncy and fun.
The emotes are a visual treat too; you get to watch Teemo groove it out with his pet alien blobs. There’s a whole load of music, color, and showstopping dance moves. The emotes are also incredibly spammable, which is sure to please any BMers out there.
All in all, it’s a fantastic legendary skin that truly gives Teemo a one-of-a-kind look. The only reason I haven’t put this skin at the top of this list is that it’s a bit too different from Teemo’s base model for my liking — you can’t really tell it’s Teemo in this skin until you hear the iconic giggle or step on a colorful, alien-esque minefield.
#3 Beemo
➡️ Release Date: May 1, 2018 | Cost: 1350 RP
The cutest Teemo skin in League of Legends has got to be Beemo. You wouldn’t think bees could be cuter than rabbits, but hey, Riot has proved me wrong.
Everything about it is designed to elicit those “awws” and “ooos,” from the adorable bee onesie to the recall animation where he serenades some flowers. Even the walk animation is cute, with his bee booty wiggling behind him. Plus, the particle effects are bursting with honey goodness, a zillion bees, and plenty of yellow hues.
The best part about this skin has to be the splashart. It’s a work of adorable art and I will proudly admit I actually used it as my desktop wallpaper for a few months…Okay, years. Honestly, the splashart is worth 1350 RP just in itself!
#2 Omega Squad Teemo
➡️ Release Date: April 8, 2015 | Cost: 1820 RP
Teemo has cute skins. He has groovy skins. He even has skins that are out of this world. But let’s say you’re after a skin that transforms him into a total badass — we’re talking dark, gritty, and edginess SO edgy it would make Kayn look happy-go-lucky.
Well, Omega Squad Teemo delivers on all fronts. Instead of a young, perky scout, Omega Squad Teemo is a covert troop who has… seen things. His heart is tortured, his assassination skills are honed, and his attitude is ice cold. He’s essentially the John Wick of the LoL universe.
Jokes aside, the character model is a total masterpiece. It instantly immerses you in a post-apocalyptic realm and there are plenty of touches that elevate Teemo’s badass side, from the night vision goggles to the deadly weaponry. The animations are also on theme — the shrooms are now literal mines, his darts have been swapped out for poison bullets, and his night vision goggles glow when he’s in stealth. Plus, his recall is him literally being lifted out of the map by a helicopter.
But my favorite part of the skin? The voice lines. I won’t say anything else about them, I’ll just share a few and you’re sure to understand why I love them so much:
- “I used to live by a code.”
- “War didn’t change me, I changed war!”
- “You’ve got no idea what it’s like on the ground, flyboy!”
- “Sight. Shoot. Reload.”
- “I’m taking everyone with me!”
#1 Little Devil Teemo
➡️ Release Date: October 19, 2016 | Cost: 1350 RP
Little Devil Teemo is one of the most famous skins in the whole game — it’s up there with Dunkmaster Darius — and it’s not hard to see why: it turns Teemo, the champion with a long history of being a little devil, into a literal little devil. It’s pure, meme-worthy perfection and it’s a reminder that Riot Games does sometimes listen to their playerbase and give us what we want!
The character model is essentially Teemo dressed up in a budget Halloween devil costume. It comes with all the typical features, including the devil horns, trident, and arrowhead tail, as well as some extra touches like a fiery crown (because hey, who says Satan doesn’t deserve a glow up?). The skin is incredibly hilarious and sure to frustrate the hell out of your enemies.
While the animations aren’t the flashiest, they do suit the devil theme perfectly. The shrooms are now little demon minions and the recall is Teemo literally opening up a portal to hell (with the most nightmare-inducing expression). For 1350 RP, combined with its meme appeal, I can’t fault it. It’s truly the ultimate skin for Teemo.
Join the High Ground
Despite how infuriating the enemy may find him, Teemo is a great champion to climb with. As our list above has shown, Riot has blessed him with several skins over the years, some cute, some hilarious, and some downright mad (looking at you, Space Groove).
