The Best Skins for Taric in League of Legends (2024)

Bedazzle your enemies with one of these Taric skins!

Dazzling, fabulous, luscious — those are just a few of the words used to describe Taric, the Shield of Valoran. And it’s no surprise why: he looks like he belongs on the front page of a fashion magazine.

There’s no denying that Taric’s base model is snazzy in its own right. However, there are plenty of skins that take his snazziness a step further, giving him a red carpet-worthy glow-up! Plus, some skins even allow you to see Taric in a whole new dazzling light.

I’ve ranked Taric’s skins from worst to best below in terms of their character models, splash arts, and animations. What’s Taric’s best skin? Let’s find out!

#6 Emerald Taric

  • Release Date: November 20, 2009
  • Cost: 520 RP

Emerald Taric is one of the oldest skins in the game, being released back in 2009. If you’re a collector of the OG skins, then you’ll probably want to snap it up when you get the opportunity.

But if you’re solely after a good-quality skin? You’ll want to look elsewhere. Emerald Taric is honestly just a garish green chroma masquerading as a 520 RP skin. The color change does give Taric a sweet, elven vibe (with some Legolas-like hair), but apart from that, it doesn’t bring anything new to the table. I don’t personally recommend it.

#5 Bloodstone Taric

  • Release Date: August 9, 2011
  • Cost: 975 RP

This skin ditches Taric’s usual glamorous vibe for something a whole lot more sinister. It gives him a Dracula-esque glow up, well technically a glow down, with him now sporting black armor, red eyes, a hellish cape, and corrupted gems.

The concept is unique — and it’s sure to please those after a badass Taric look — but I do feel it’s a bit too detached from Taric’s lore and personality. Plus, the splash art is quite underwhelming.

#4 Taric Luminshield

  • Release Date: March 19, 2020
  • Cost: 1350 RP

Right, now we’re getting to the good stuff! Taric Luminshield looks like an evolved version of the base model. And by that, I mean it’s a whole lot more dazzling, sparkly, and elegant. The armor is gorgeous and the animations are packed with rainbows and iridescent hues.

But best of all? The skin pays homage to Dungeons and Dragons (aka the best fantasy tabletop roleplaying game in existence). It’s honestly perfect for fans of the game and it’s sure to get that nostalgia flowing.

#3 Pool Party Taric

  • Release Date: July 13, 2016
  • Cost: 1350 RP

Pool Party Taric is splashtastic in every single way possible. It transforms Taric into a Baywatch-style lifeguard, with an unzipped jacket, swimming shorts, whistle, and a nifty pair of flip-flops. The laidback look suits Taric insanely well and the thematic honors his protective side too!

I also seriously love that his hammer is now a megaphone. Bonking your opponents with it is hilarious, especially when paired with the watery animations and splashin’ sound effects.

#2 Armor of the Fifth Age Taric

  • Release Date: April 8, 2010
  • Cost: 750 RP

Armor of the Fith Age Taric encapsulates everything Taric is as a champion: fabulously outrageous! The neon pink color scheme, the fluffy leg warmers, the Star Guardian-esque weapon — it’s honestly iconic and sure to bedazzle your opponents on the Rift.

Sure, it may not come with swanky particle effects or a new recall, but it doesn’t need all those frills. It’s already frilly enough.

#1 Space Groove Taric

  • Release Date: November 17, 2022
  • Cost: 1350 RP

If you thought Amor of the Fith Age was fabulous, then you’ll definitely love Space Groove. It offers that same dazzling vibe, but with a whole lot more groove, colors, and sparkly particle effects! Plus, the character model is insanely creative, with his gems now being adorable little alien cats riding spaceships.

But the main reason why I’m putting Space Groove at the top spot? The fact that the recall is now Taric jamming it out to some sweet tunes, with a nifty disco ball. It’s fun and sure to relieve tilt in even the most insufferable matches.
