Best Ezreal Skins in League of Legends

#1 museum curator.

Ezreal is easily one of the most iconic mages in League of Legends. As one of the oldest and most admired Champions (next to Lux), it should come as no surprise that he has a huge variety of skins to choose from. But just what is the best Ezreal skin in League of Legends?

That is the question we aim to answer today! In this article, we’ll be listing the top ten best Ezreal skins in League of Legends, and explaining why each belongs in the top-tier slot.

10 Best Ezreal Skins

Ezreal is one of the few Champions in League of Legends with a whopping seventeen skins. While the idea behind each skin is unique and pairs perfectly with Ezreal’s daring and flashy personality, many of them show their age in their splash arts, and no longer look fresh or sharp in game.

The best skins combine a breathtaking splash art with smooth and effortless gameplay. In this list, I will be focusing on both. However, in-game performance is what ultimately determines which skins belong on top.

10/10

Frosted Ezreal

  • Date released: July 19th, 2010
  • Cost: 520 RP
  • Chromas: No

Although this is one of Ezreal’s more basic skins, the icy, Freljordian theme works well with his adventurous and rebellious personality. It may be simple, but it’s smooth in game and gives Ezreal a slick and edgier look. This skin would easily be higher on the list if it just had a little more attention to detail in game.

Many would argue that this is one of his most boring skins, but the brilliant idea behind it and its simplicity are what makes it great. This skin would highly benefit from a re-work. A little more distinct detail to his appearance, his abilities, and his recall would update it and make it much more visually appealing in game.

Striker Ezreal

  • Date released: June 22nd, 2010
  • Cost: 520 RP (Currently unavailable)
  • Chromas: No

This is another skin that has a fantastic theme, but falls flat in game. Ezreal is easily the star player that’s most likely getting red cards left and right. Once again, it just fits his personality so well. It’s creative, fun, and feels fine in game. However, for how creative and awesome this idea is, it looks unfinished.

Its action-packed splash art should be translated into the game much more. It has no special effects, and his abilities and recall are left untouched. Although you can’t expect too much from a cheap skin, it just feels like there was really no effort put into it in game.

At least incorporate some soccer balls or a theme-related recall. Despite its boring in-game performance, it has the potential to be one of Ezreal’s most popular skins. It just needs a bit more work put into it.

8/10

Pajama Guardian Ezreal

  • Date released: November 21st, 2018
  • Cost:  1350 RP (Currently unavailable)
  • Chromas: No

The Pajama Guardian line is similar to the Pool Party line in that it’s silly, colorful, and just plain fun. It further compliments Ezreal’s laidback, charming, and fun-loving personality. It has a gorgeous recall, and his abilities are given a beautiful green, blue, and yellow flair. His ult looks especially vibrant and spectacular.

His comfy white and blue onesie is surprisingly detailed, and looks really sharp in game. It’s a simply delightful skin that feels and looks great in game. This skin would be even better if it had some chromas that switched up the color of his onesie.

7/10

Star Guardian Ezreal

  • Release date: September 7th, 2017
  • Cost: 1350 RP (Currently unavailable)
  • Chromas: No

This skin is almost identical to Pajama Guardian Ezreal; just remove the onesie and replace it with a stylish Star Guardian outfit. Ezreal’s dashing good looks, rebellious personality, and sassy charm make him the perfect Star Guardian candidate. Just like the Pajama Guardian skin, it feels smooth in game and is really fun to watch and use.

Although this skin does make Ezreal look the part, it’s missing a little extra character in its splash art, and in game. Ezreal should be more of a main Star Guardian attraction in this skin, but instead he looks like just another add on to the Star Guardian group. There’s nothing really wrong with this skin, it just feels like it could be a bit more than it is.

6/10

Arcade Ezreal

  • Release date: August 24th, 2016
  • Cost: 1350 RP
  • Chromas: No

This is another colorful and creative skin that fits the energetic and daring personality of Ezreal beautifully. Ezreal’s abilities are given a multicolored, pixely look that goes perfectly with the playful arcade theme. His Arcane Shift ability looks especially incredible. Each teleport is followed by an explosion of purple pixels. His ult also has a witty and stunning flair to it that makes the skin truly fantastic.

His recalls are funny and clever, and he really looks like the main character in a video game. It has no negative effects in game, and is a complete joy to play with. Perhaps the best part of this skin is his gauntlet that looks like it could be a video game controller.

5/10

Psyops Ezreal

  • Release date: September 3rd, 2020
  • Cost: 1350 RP
  • Chromas: No

The Psyops Skin line is very sleek, colorful, edgy, and perfect for Ezreal. This skin gives him a rebellious and adventurous look that is very new and futuristic. His abilities are given very vivid, pastel colors that look absolutely spectacular in game. His recall is slick and showy, and his incredible splash art is very well translated into the rift.

Ezreal’s overconfident, sassy, and high-spirited personality is so brilliantly executed through this skin. It’s a super fun skin to play with, and just so perfect for Ezreal’s character. Chromas or some extra added effects would make it even better.

4/10

Prestige Psyops Ezreal

  • Date released: September 3rd, 2020
  • Cost: 120-125 Mythic Essence
  • Chromas: No

Although this skin isn’t that different from the original Psyops skin for Ezreal, its golden outline and subtle changes make it a fantastic Prestige skin. His spunky, inflated, and bold personality is so well shown in this skin, which is why a Prestige version of it just works on every level. It looks even more spectacular and dazzling as a Prestige skin. It’s incredibly smooth and stylish in game, and makes Ezreal look like the hotshot hero that he really is.

3/10

Pulsefire Ezreal

  • Date released: June 29th, 2012
  • Cost: 3250 RP
  • Chromas: No

There are not very many downsides to this jaw-dropping legendary skin. Ezreal’s gauntlet looks more like an all-powerful blaster, and his many different looks are extremely fun to play with. He looks elegant, very well put together in each of his suits, and off the charts cool in this pricey skin.

There are very few Ultimate skins in League of Legends because each one contains so many special effects and attention to detail. This Ultimate skin is by far one of the best, next to Elementalist Lux.

However, like Gun Goddess Miss Fortune, it does look and feel a tad clunky. The particle effects on his abilities could definitely look sharper as well. If this skin got a rework, it would easily be number one on Ezreal’s best skin list.

2/10

Battle Academia Ezreal

  • Date released: May 15th, 2019
  • Cost: 1820 RP
  • Chromas: Yes

This Ezreal skin takes legendary to the next level. When he successfully stacks his spells and activates his passive, he literally looks like a Super Saiyan. In this skin, he is a smart and sassy daredevil student ready to prove himself no matter what it takes. It fits his character to a tee, and is executed to perfection in game.

His blue and red abilities are crisp and look so vibrant and captivating. His recall, which shows him doing target practice, is clever and well-designed, and his emotes are cute and hilarious. This skin makes him look like the late-game carry that he truly is. More chromas would make this skin shine ever brighter.

1/10

Porcelain Protector Ezreal

  • Release date: January 19th, 2022
  • Cost: 1820 RP
  • Chromas: Yes

This skin for Ezreal is absolutely breathtaking in every way. This luxurious, elegant skin is beautifully detailed, and has so many amazing special effects. The main highlight of this skin is Ezreal’s tiger, Stripe. Not only is he included in Ezreal’s flashy ult, but he appears in Ezreal’s special emotes, recall, and leads Ezreal to lane at the start of the game.

Even Ezreal’s death is new and creative. He disappears into his gauntlet and then comes out of it when he respawns. This skin also has several colorful chromas that showcase the skin in different ways. This skin is definitely one of the best skins League of Legends has released so far. It’s charming, clever, and oozing with style, just like Ezreal. Best of all, Riot even made a cinematic showcasing it!
