Greetings Tenno. This Warframe walkthrough will be for the Hidden Messages quest. This quest will reward you with blueprints for all of the parts needed to construct the Mirage warframe.
Hidden Messages Overview
IMPORTANT: In order to unlock this quest in your codex, you must have completed the Junction between Pluto and Sedna. Afterwards, the quest will automatically appear in your codex.
The quest rundown is pretty simple. You will be provided with a message in your inbox from Ordis containing a riddle. When deciphered, the riddle will reveal the location for you to complete a mission at to find the next segment of the quest (aka. the next riddle).
The reward for each of these riddled missions will reward one part of Mirage, until you have all three blueprints to build the warframe. However, if you don’t care to solve the riddles yourself or are struggling with them, don’t worry. We’ll provide you all the answers you need to easily finish this quest in less than an hour!
Riddle 1
When starting the quest, Ordis will recite the first riddle that is sent to your inbox. The riddle reads:
Three parts, three acts, three riddles for thee –
to revive the one wielding fantasy
Ancient gods so cruel, once ruled from on high
Can you name their peak where the land meets the sky?
👉Answer: Olympus, Mars
In this Extermination Mission, you will mainly be facing Infested that are around level 30. This is a very straightforward mission so just grab your favorite setup and get to slaughtering!
Throughout the mission, you will also be provided with some backstory for the warframe whose parts you are in search of. You will receive transmissions from the Lotus as she tells the story of Mirage who was fighting against the Sentients during the Old War.
Though overwhelmed, she did not show signs of giving up despite the order to retreat. Instead she laughed as she tore the heads off of her enemies.
Riddle 2
When you return from completing the first mission on Mars, Ordis will notify you of the second riddle in your inbox. The riddle reads:
To build the one you think witty,
seek the nymph who sang oh so pretty.
She lured him in with her song and grin,
his wife must’ve thought it a pity.
👉Answer: Calypso, Saturn
In this Survival Mission, you will again be against Infested enemies ranging around level 35. Your goal is to survive the full 15 minute timer before safely extracting.
This survival mission acts as a normal survival mission and will continuously have life support pods dropping throughout the map. The enemies themselves will also have a small chance to drop personal life support that will restore a small amount of life support (5%).
The mission may pose some issues due to the sheer amount of Eximus units that show up past the 10 minute mark. Newer players are advised to run warframes that specialize in surviving and steer away from the squishier frames, just to be safe.
Wukong does fantastic in these kinds of scenarios, because he not only excels at being able to survive but is also able to get around the map with ease due to his Cloud Walker ability. Rhino is another great pick so long as you are able to ensure your Iron Skin ability doesn’t fall off.
Rhino is also probably just a better pick for newer players due to being more easily accessible than Wukong. Bottom line is you should prepare to run into annoying enemies such as Volatile, Paratsitic, and Sanguine Eximus that are guaranteed to come your way.
Throughout the mission, the Lotus continues the story of Mirage. The lone warframe was captured with the Lotus too far away to do anything to help. Despite this, the Lotus tried to comfort the warframe by telling her that another ship would be sent for her. But the warframe saw through the lies and merely smiled.
Riddle 3
The last and final riddle Ordis will recite to you will read as follows:
One more act before your prize is caught.
An ancient sea creature, take a whirl or not?
Look for the monster that swallowed sailors of yore.
Make a mistake and you’re sunk. Nothing more.
👉Answer: Charybdis, Sedna
This is a Hive Sabotage mission with enemies around level 40. Depending on how hidden the tumors are, this mission may take the longest out of the three.
You will be tasked to destroy 3 Hives on the map, but these hives are initially immune to damage. In order to make the hives vulnerable, you’ll need to destroy 5 tumors near each of the hives (15 tumors total). While they may be spread out rather far from their respective hive, the tumors have a very distinct look that make them hard to miss.
The tumors look like giant yellow/orange cysts that can be found around the walls near the hives. It’s a very simple task with the only difficult part being finding the tumors themselves. Once you destroy all the tumors and hives, proceed to extract Tenno.
Throughout the mission, you’ll learn the last bit of Mirage’s lore. The warframe is near its end, and the Lotus can do nothing but watch. Nothing more than a blinding light and intense heat. The stalwart warframe tries to comfort the Lotus as it disintegrates.
Rebuilding Mirage
With all 3 riddles solved, Ordis will read the very last inscription:
Three acts complete, the end draws near,
soon Mirage will cause fear.
Memory lost, to be reborn,
a new warrior rises, duty sworn.
