Warframe 1999: The Best EFV-8 MARS Build – Viral MARS of War

Acquisition

Luckily for any Tenno trying to get this weapon, it’s very simple to get. All the blueprints for the MARS can be received from Minerva in Höllvania Mall after reaching rank 5 in the Hex Syndicate.

Stats

The MARS rocks decently high critical stats right out of the box, which is always nice. Just like the Jupiter, it also has an alternate fire mode that releases a grenade that has a guaranteed Corrosive proc when it hits an enemy. 

Unique Trait

Alternate Fire charges up a glob of explosive Efervon gel, which Staggers and Corrodes enemies.

Viral MARS of War Build

This build will focus on utilizing the MARS’s high critical stats and ability to make automatic Corrosive Procs to get as much damage as possible out of this weapon.

Mods

The mods for this build are as follows:

• Galvanized Diffusion: We want a bunch of Multishot to increase our damage, as well as create more chances to apply status effects. Galvanized Diffusion is the best mod for that. 
• Galvanized Shot: While the element mods we add will increase our status chance, Galvanized Shot will ensure we get a bunch of extra damage for each status affecting the enemy.
• Frostbite: We need Cold and Toxin to make Viral, so we grab Frostbite. The bonus to Status Chance is nice as well.
• Pistol Pestilence: We grab this for the same reasons we grab Frostbite.
• Primed Pistol Gambit: The MARS has pretty good critical stats; this mod will make sure we take advantage of those stats.
• Prime Target Cracker: We grab this mod for the same reason we grab Primed Pistol Gambit.
• Lethal Torrent: Just like Galvanized Diffusion, we want a lot of Multishot. This mod will help us increase that while also boosting our fire rate.
• Player Choice: At this point, we have everything we need for this build, so the last mod is up to what you might want. If you have space, another element mod could be used to boost your damage from Galvanized Shot even more.

Arcane

• Cascadia Flare: An Arcane that stacks a damage bonus whenever you proc Heat damage. This Arcane is perfect if you decide to add Heat damage to the MARS.
• Secondary Fortifier: A good Arcane if you want a little more defense in your build. Especially if you’re playing Steel Path.
