Warframe 1999: The Best Riot-848 Build – Exploding Virus

Start a riot on the streets of Hollvania!

Temple didn’t show up to Höllvania, just shred their infested guitar and set enemies on fire. They also brought with them a pretty tricked out gun.

Modified by Entrati himself, the Riot-848 is a unique pistol that ensures that even when your magazine runs dry, the enemies will still feel the hurt. If you’ve been looking for the perfect build to bring this weapon into Steel Path, then look no further. In this guide, I’ll be going over how to get the Riot-848 and the perfect build for high-level gameplay.

Acquisition

Just like the other weapons introduced in Techrot Encore, the Riot is fairly simple to get. All its blueprints drop from Stage Defense Solstice Square in Höllvania. This mission unlocks after completing The Hex quest and getting rank 4 in The Hex Syndicate.

Alternatively, you can purchase any blueprints from Flare using Beating Heartstrings, which drop from completing stages of Solstice Defense. An excellent mercy system for anyone grinding out the gun.

Stats

I wasn’t kidding when I said this sidearm is unique. Not only does this weapon boast high stats across the board, but its unique ability causes radial explosions to go off when your mag runs dry.

 Unique Trait

Reloading warps the Riot-848’s bullets back into the pistol, causing a small explosion at their points of origin.

Exploding Virus Riot-848 Build

This build will focus only on dealing radial viral and blast damage to enemies with guaranteed red-crits and high status chance.

Mods

The mod choice for this build is as follows:

  • Pistol Pestilence: We need to add Viral damage to our Riot, so we grab this mod to do that while also boosting our Status Chance.
  • Frostbite: We grab this for the same reason as Pistol Pestilence. It helps us create Viral damage and boosts our Status Chance.
  • Galvanized Shot: We want a high status chance, and this mod does this while also boosting our damage per status affecting the enemy. An excellent choice for this build.
  • Galvanized Diffusion: We want a bunch of Multishot for this weapon, and Galvanized Diffusion is the best there is.
  • Lethal Torrent: Another mod to boost our Multishot. This mod also has the added bonus of increasing our Fire Rate, which is always a plus.
  • Primed Target Cracker: The Riot has decent starting Critical Stats, but if we want guaranteed red crits, we need to boost them more. This mod will help us do that.
  • Pistol Gambit: We grab this mod for the same reason we grab Target Cracker. More Critical Stats mean more red crits.
  • Player Choice: The last slot can really be for anything you think you might need/want on the Riot. The core of the build is already set at this point. I put Hornet Strike for some extra damage, but if you want something else, go for it.

Arcanes

  • Secondary Enervate: This is an excellent mod for this gun because it will help us hit bit crits more often, especially with our increased Multishot and Fire Rate.
  • Cascadia Flare: If you decide to try and fit Heat damage onto your Riot, Cascadia Flare is a perfect Arcane for boosting your damage effortlessly.
