Warframe: The Toxic Weapon – Best Saryn Prime Build

Get ready to melt your enemies.

It’s time to clean the galaxy of rot Tenno. Saryn Prime is a powerhouse of a Warframe that will sweep away all enemies in a sea of venom.

In this guide I’ll be going over Saryn Prime, her abilities, and a build that will easily conquer Steel Path with ease.

Saryn Prime Overview

Stats

  • Health: 365 (465 at Rank 30)
  • Shields: 270 (370) at Rank 30)
  • Armor: 315
  • Energy: 200 (300 at Rank 30)

Saryn Prime is not the tankiest Warframe in the roster. Luckily for us, it won’t matter too much since most enemies will die before they get the chance to hit her.

Passive

Status Effects inflicted by Saryn’s weapons and abilities last 25% longer.

Abilities

Spores (1st Ability)

Saryn infects an enemy with spores that last forever. Each spore inflicts Corrosive damage per second with a base 50% Corrosive Status Chance. Shooting or hitting the spores directly causes them to burst and infect nearby enemies with spores.

This is Saryn’s bread and butter. Spores are how we clear tile sets full of enemies before we even see them. When people talk about how powerful Saryn is, Spores is the reason why.

Molt (2nd Ability)

Shedding her skin, Saryn removes all existing Status Effects and increases her movement speed. She also leaves behind a decoy that draws enemy fire. When the decoy runs out of health, its duration expires, or the ability is cast again, it will explode dealing Toxin damage around it.

Saryn’s dedicated defense move. Molt is a lot of good in one package. Not only do you have a way to get aggro off of you if you’re in trouble, but it also provides a movement buff so you can get away fast.

Toxic Lash (3rd Ability)

Saryn imbues all her weapons with toxins causing her weapons to deal an extra hit for a percentage of its total damage as Toxin damage which causes guaranteed Toxin procs.

This is the second most important ability for this build. Not only does it help us spread Toxin procs and guarantee Spore bursts, but it will also buff our weapons immensely. Especially in conjunction with the augment mod Venom Dose for Spores.

Miasma (4th Ability)

Saryn pollutes the surrounding area with a viral mist that stuns any enemy within it, deals Viral damage per second, and has a 100% Viral Status Chance on cast.

Saryn’s nuke button, Miasma is perfect for clearing rooms, and spreading more Spores and procs when they start to get low. A great move to have and very useful in a pinch.

How To Get Saryn Prime

Unfortunately, Saryn Prime is currently vaulted. That means the only way to get her is through trading with other players, or waiting until she is unvaulted during a Prime Resurgence. Luckily, the differences between Prime and regular Warframes are not huge, so you can use base Saryn for this build with no issues.

To get Saryn’s component blueprints you must farm them by defeating Kela De Thaym on Merrow, Sedna.

Toxic Weapon – Best Saryn Prime Build

The focus of this build is to make Saryn a bit of a weapon ‘Frame by buffing her weapons with moves like Toxic Lash and Spores with its augment mod. We’ll also have a powerful AOE armor strip making it easy to take down high-level enemies on Steel Path with ease.

Mod Choice

The mod choice for this build is as follows:

  • Overextended: Ability Range is incredibly important for Saryn because that’s how we increase how far our Spores spread. Overextended is perfect for this.
  • Stretch: Just like Overextended, we want a lot of Ability Range, so we add Stretch to make it even higher.
  • Archon Continuity: We want Duration to keep our Venom Dose buff active for longer. While Primed Continuity would work too, Archon Continuity’s added buff of Toxin Status Effects adding Corrosive Status Effects is perfect for Saryn.
  • Blind Rage: Power Strength benefits every aspect of Saryns kit. And we want a lot of it to boost our Venom Dose and Toxic Lash buffs.
  • Transient Fortitude: Just like Blind Rage, we want a lot of Power Strength for this build. Using these two mods together will get us there.
  • Equilibrium: This mod is perfect for keeping us alive and full of energy. If we bring a companion with Synth Deconstruct this mod will be even stronger.
  • Adaption: Since we’ll be in Steel Path and Saryn isn’t incredibly tanky, Adaption can help us survive. Although this mod can be switched out if you want to focus on other survival methods like shield gating.
  • Primed Flow: Saryn’s Energy Pool is not large enough for someone who likes casting her abilities. Primed Flow will fix this nicely and easily.

Arcane Choice

  • Molt Augmented: This is an easy Arcane choice for Saryn. We’ll be killing a lot of enemies very quickly, so we’ll get a lot of use out of this.
  • Arcane Aegis: This Arcane will help with survivability immensely. Especially if you decide to focus on shield gating for survival.

Helminth Abilities

  • Shooting Gallery (Mesa): An excellent CC ability if you don’t think Molt is cutting it. Shooting Gallery will help you survive, but might need its augment mod Muzzle Flash to feel truly worth it.
  • Roar (Rhino): The go-to choice for increasing Power Strength. Use this if you want to increase the effects from Toxic Lash and the damage from Spores.

Weapons & Gear

This build doesn’t need specific weapons or gear since most of your power is coming from your abilities. If you want, grabbing a companion with Synth Deconstruct will help drop more orbs for your Equilibrium.
