Warframe 1999: Infection Melter – The Best EFV-5 Jupiter Build

Cleanse the Techrot!

The Techrot Encore update for Warframe brought a new group of Protframes for players to get to know, and they didn’t come empty-handed. Minerva, Saryn’s human counterpart, has a bunch of Scaldra weapons for our Drifter to play with, and the Jupiter is one of the strongest.

If you’ve been wondering how to build this Scaldra rifle then have no fear. In this guide, I’ll be going over the best setup for the EFV-Jupiter to help you rip through Steel Path.

Acquisition

Luckily for players, the new Protoframes are not stingy with their new gear. To get the Jupiter all you need to do is purchase its blueprints with Hex Syndicate Standing from Minerva in Höllvania. To get everything, however, you must be rank 5 in the Hex Syndicate.

Stats

The Jupiter is a fun rifle, very reminiscent of the Ax-52. It boasts a large magazine with a high rate of fire and high critical stats. It also has an under-barrel shotgun that does guaranteed Corrosive procs.

Unique Trait

Alternate Fire charges up a burst of Buckshot, each pellet always inflicts Corrosive status on hits.

Infection Melter EFV-5 Jupiter Build

This build will focus on erasing enemies with weak point shots and increasing our damage through status effects applied to our enemies, as well as a healthy dose of crits for good measure.

Mods

The mod choice for this build is as follows:

  • Primary Acuity: The main damage dealer for this build, Primary Acuity will exponentially increase our Weak Point damage and critical chance at the cost capping our multishot to 1.
  • Galvanized Scope: This mod will help us increase our critical chance so we’re doing consistent crits.
  • Point Strike: The Jupiter already has a decent crit chance, but Point Strike will make it easier to get over 100% crit chance when using Galvanized Scope.
  • Vital Sense: Since we’ll be hitting consistent crits we want to make sure our crits actually do some damage. Vital Sense will help with that.
  • Malignant Force: We want Viral Damage so we can hit like a truck whenever we hit health. This will help us do that while also raising our Status Chance.
  • Primed Cryo Rounds: Same as above, we use this to get Viral Damage. The non-primed version works here as well.
  • Galvanized Aptitude: Now that we’ve got our elements, we need more Status Chance. This mod will do that while also increasing our overall damage per status affecting the enemy.
  • Rifle Elementalist: This mod will increase the elemental damage we do which synergizes with this weapon perfectly.

Alternate Mods

There are a couple of other ways to build the Jupiter with a shifting of a couple of mods.

  • Galvanized Chamber: If you don’t want to go the Weak Point route for the Jupiter, you can replace Acuity with Galvanized Chamber for high multishot.
  • Critical Delay: If you have it, this mod gives you way more crit chance than Point Strike.

Arcanes

  • Primary Deadhead: An obvious choice for the build we’re going for, this arcane is perfect for the Jupiter because of its stacking damage bonus, headshot multiplier, and decreased weapon recoil.
  • Primary Crux: Another good Arcane for the Jupiter, Primary Crux will increase Status Chance while also adding some nice ammo efficiency.
