The Best Subsume Abilities in Warframe

With all the updates that have changed Warframe over the years, few have been as big as the introduction of the Helminth system. With the ability to transfer certain Warframe abilities to other Warframes, players had a field day with new builds and synergies.

With over 50 Warframes in the game and more constantly coming out, the list of subsumable abilities is vast. And not all of them are useful. So if you’ve been wondering which abilities to subsume, look no further than this guide as we go over the best subsumed abilities in Warframe in no particular order.

Roar (Rhino)

The ability that got many Warframe players mouth watering when the Helminth system was announced, Roar provides a nice and simple damage bonus. Even with the reduced damage bonus when subsumed, the ability is still amazing.

Not many things beat a straight damage buff and this ability can fit on every Warframe and still be useful.

Eclipse (Mirage)

Just like Roar, Mirage’s Eclipse was another ability that got players excited. Not only does it provide a damage boost to weapons, but when the ability is tapped it alternatively provides damage reduction from enemy attacks.

Once again, this ability can work on just about any Warframe in the game and be useful, so there’s no reason not to subsume this.

Wrathful Advance (Kullervo)

This ability is a must-have for any melee-focused ‘Frame. Wrathful Advance causes you to charge up a heavy attack and then teleport to your target, releasing the attack. What makes this ability so powerful is the massive increase in melee critical chance.

With the right build, this can skyrocket your melee damage and you’ll see nothing but red crits. Put this on a Warframe like Valkyr or Dagath and have fun.

Larva (Nidus)

There are a lot of abilities and weapons that benefit from having enemies grouped. And Larva makes that a lot easier by grabbing every enemy around the infested ball you throw and pulling them together.

Warframes like Protea can use this ability to gain stacks on her Blaze Artillery incredibly quickly and provide some easy CC.

Dispensary (Protea)

Speaking of Protea, Dispensary is one of the best utility abilities in the game. Things like energy, health, and ammo become a problem of the past as Dispensary can spit out anything you need. This is another ability that’s an easy choice and can find itself on any Warframe and build and be useful.

Terrify (Nekros)

One thing many Warframes lack is a reliable way to armor-strip enemies. Nekros’ Terrify solves that problem by having the ability to fully strip an enemy’s armor with only a couple of casts. Even better, the ability makes enemies panic providing some decent crowd control.

Stripping an enemy’s armor is always useful, so there are a lot of builds that will feel right at home with this ability.

Gloom (Sevagoth)

Gloom is one of those abilities that is just wholly useful. Not only does it provide some CC by slowing any enemies around you, but it also grants you and your allies up to 5% life steal for weapon and ability damage.

While 5% may not seem like a lot, depending on your setup, weapon and ability damage can reach high numbers giving you some decent health back when attacking. Slap this on squishy Warframes for increased survivability and you should be fine.
