Warframe: Best Revived War Build

Show the true power of Sentient made weaponry.

What is broken can be reforged, Tenno. This is true for the War, the chosen weapon of the Shadow Stalker. Sentient-made, this massive weapon is devastating and incredibly cool-looking.

If you’ve been wondering how to wield the Stalker’s weapon in combat then look no further. In this guide, I’ll be going over how to get the War and how to build it to cleave through Steel Path. Beware of mild spoilers for The Second Dream quest.

Acquisition

Before you can get the War, you need to complete The Second Dream quest and acquire the Broken War, a material needed to make the War. Once that’s done you need to court the Stalker’s disfavor and fight him to acquire the War blueprint. It’s not a guaranteed drop so you might need to defeat him a couple of times, but eventually, he’ll drop it.

Stats

This weapon is a bit of a beast, with high damage, crits, and reach to easily cleave through groups of enemies.

Best Revived War Build

This build will focus on making sure the War hits like a truck and has high enough critical stats to reliably land red crits every time we swing.

Mods

The mod choice for this build is as follows:

  • Sacrificial Steel: We want to increase our critical stats and there’s none better than increasing our crit chance than Sacrificial Steel.
  • Organ Shatter: Just like Sacrificial Steel, we want to increase our crit stats and Organ Shatter is the best for increasing our crit damage.
  • Gladiator Might: Just like Organ Shatter, we grab this mod to increase our critical damage just a little more.
  • Blood Rush: This mod will increase our crit chance per our combo counter. Excellent for hitting those juicy red crits.
  • Primed Pressure Point: The War already hits hard, but we want it to hit even harder. Primed Pressure Point will help increase our base melee damage.
  • Condition Overload: This mod is king when it comes to boosting melee damage exponentially through status effects. This mod is invaluable for increasing our damage.
  • Element Mods/Faction Mod: The last two slots should be reserved for setting up whatever element you need based on whatever faction you’re fighting. Switch these out as needed.

Arcanes

  • Melee Duplicate: This Arcane doubles an attack on base critical hits. This is perfect since we’ll be getting crits often with this build.
  • Melee Animosity: This Arcane increases the critical chance for our heavy attacks on melee hits. Excellent for the hard-hitting heavy attack of the War.

Warframe Abilities

  • Wrathful Advance (Kullervo): This ability is perfect for any melee weapon in the game. This is especially true for the War.
  • War Cry (Valkyr): Another great melee ability. This will increase melee attack speed, negating the slow attack speed of the War. Add in the Eternal War augment mod and you can keep this buff active for the entire mission.

Gear

With Condition Overload slotted into our War, we want to ensure our enemies are getting hit with status effects to activate the mod. This means we need a status primer. While weapons like the Cycron and Nukor are good options, I prefer a hands-off version so I don’t need to keep switching weapons.

Using the Diriga sentinel we can have an automatic status primer hovering behind us. All you need are the mods Arc Coil, and Manifold Bond. This will allow the Diriga to apply mods from its equipped weapon to its special ability. Now all you need to do is put as many elements on its equipped weapon and you’re good to go.
