Warframe 1999: Best New Mods and How to Get Them

Level up your arsenal, Tenno!

The gifts of Warframe’s 1999 update don’t stop with a great quest and cool new skins. Many new mods and arcanes were also released that greatly boost our arsenal and Warframes. In this guide, I’ll be going over the best new mods released in 1999 and how to get them in no particular order.

How to Get 1999 Mods

As you might have guessed, all the mods mentioned in this guide will be available in 1999 section of Warframe. That means all you need to worry about is finishing the 1999 quest line and gaining access to Hölvania’s mission map.

Best Warframe 1999 Mods

Primary Acuity

This mod increases Weak Point Damage and Critical Chance by 350% at the cost of modifications to Multishot.

The first mod in this guide is a new type of mod that limits Multishot but boosts Weak Point damage significantly. Previously, Multishot was king when it came to boosting the damage potential of weapons, but the benefits of Prime Acuity are fairly obvious.

As long as you’re hitting Weak Points, you can be sure you’ll see red damage numbers every time you pull the trigger. It’s also clear to see that this mod works perfectly with Cyte-09 who’s kit focuses on getting Weak Point kills.

This mod drops from Scaldra units Dedicant and Jaeger, so boot up a Scaldra survival mission and you should get it in no time.

Pistol Acuity

This mod increases Weak Point Damage and Critical Chance by 350% at the cost of modifications to Multishot.

This is essentially the secondary variant of Primary Acuity. Same benefits and limits to multishot. This is perfect for weapons that may have low Critical Chance and Damage to make it more viable for higher level missions.

This mod drops from Scaldra units Barbican and Eradicator as well as Techrot Skuzzi’s. Just like Primary Acuity, load up a Scaldra survival mission and you should get it in no time.

Spectral Serration

This mod increases damage by 330% while invisible.

A much sought after mod if you watch the Warframe trading chat, This mod was most likely custom mode for Cyte-09. A primary rifle mod, Spectral Serration is perfect for any Warframe that can go invisible like Cyte, Loki, Ash, and Ivara.

Combine this with Primary Acuity and you’ll be dealing some heavy damage with the added bonus of being completely invisible. This mod drops from Scaldra units Dedicant and Eradicator. Unfortunately, it has an incredibly low drop rate so it might take some time to get. Just like before, go into a Scaldra survival and hope for the best.

Summoner’s Wrath

Squad receives a bonus 75% Companion and Summon Damage.

The first Aura mod to make this guide, Summoner’s Wrath seems to be part of a continued initiative by DE to make companions more useful in combat. What makes this mod so interesting is the bonus damage to summons, which makes a summoner-based playstyle viable.

The first Warframe that comes to mind is Nekros with his Shadows of the Dead ability, but there are a ton of Warframes that have abilities that count as summons that can benefit from this aura. Pair this with Arcane Camisado and you can have a pretty powerful army of summons getting your back.

This mod drops from Scaldra units Eradicator and Barbican which means you’ll likely get it while farming the other mods on this list.

Worthy Comradery

Squad receives a bonus 75% Weak Point Critical Chance.

Another mod that fits the Weak Point focused themed items in this update, this mod is like the cherry on top of a sunday. Chances are if you’re running this mod, you’re running the other Weak Point mods as well, which means more damage.

This mod is absolutely perfect for Cyte-09 who really wants to get headshots, slap this in his aura slot, and have a ball. This mod drops from Scaldra units Flayer and Jaeger, so just like every mod in this guide, boot up Scaldra survival and farm some mods.
