Warframe 1999: The Best Vesper 77 Build

Acquisition

Before doing anything we need to know how to get our hands on this unique pistol from the past. For those who don’t have this weapon yet, the main blueprint can be obtained from Höllvania Central Mall bounties as a rare reward. The rest of the blueprints can be obtained from Legacyte Harvest and Hell-Scrub mission rotations.

Alternatively, if you’re at least rank 3 in The Hex syndicate, you can purchase every blueprint from Amir for Standing. And it goes without saying, but you’ll need to complete The Hex questline to get access to Höllvania and these missions.

Stats

Embrace your inner Sam Fisher because like the AX-52, this weapon wants you to get headshots. With the added bonus of being equipped with a silencer meaning it’s completely silent (even if that’s not how it works in real life). This weapon has high crit stats and damage which make up for the low reload speed, magazine size and fire rate. 

Unique Trait

Aiming with this weapon increases its Critical Damage Multiplier as well as activates its laser sight which highlights enemy weak points.

Shadow Pistol Vesper 77 Build

This build will focus on dealing high weak point damage with enough power to take down Steel Path enemies in 1-2 headshots max.

Mods

The mods for this build are as follows:

• Primed Target Cracker: We want to boost the already high crit stats of this weapon even further to make sure we get the damage we want. Primed Target Cracker is the best in class for this.
• Primed Pistol Gambit: We add this for the same reason we add Primed Target Cracker, better crit stats mean better damage.
• Pistol Acuity: This mod will increase our weak point damage and critical chance by a ton at the cost of Multishot. Since we’re not focusing on Multishot in this build, this is an excellent sacrifice.
• Hornet Strike: We want as much damage as possible so we can take enemies out quickly. Hornet Strike will help us do that.
• Galvanized Crosshairs: This mod will increase our critical chance on weak point hits as long as we’re aiming. This mod synergizes well with everything we’re planning on doing with the Vesper so this addon is a no-brainer.
• Semi-Pistol Cannonade: Even more damage for our Vesper, this mod can increase our damage by up to 300% which will help a lot.
• Element Mods: The last two slots are reserved for whatever element you’ll need for whatever faction you’re fighting.

Alternate mods

While the mod choices given will turn the Vesper 77 into a beast, there are a couple alternative mods to help with some utility pitfalls the Vesper unfortunately has.

• Gunslinger: The fire rate for the Vesper is abysmal so adding Gunslinger to increase it can help for those who are annoyed by how slow this weapon fires.
• Quickdraw: Just like the fire rate, the reload speed for the Vesper is really low. Put on Quickdraw to make it a little easier.
• Slip Magazine: The magazine for the Vesper is only 8 shots, which makes any missed bullet very costly, especially with the long reload. While Slip Magazine won’t improve this significantly, it will help alleviate some of the heartache of having a small magazine.

Arcanes

The arcane choice for this weapon is an easy choice given the build. Secondary Deadhead improves everything we’re already doing with the Vesper. Slap this on and enjoy the added damage.
