Warframe 1999: The Best Reconifex Build

LMGing at its finest

Despite being the stealthy sniper of the Hex, Quincy brought more than his Neutralizer to Warframe. The Reconifex is the newest rifle to be added to the game and it has some unique mechanics that set it apart from other weapons. In this guide we’ll be going over the Reconifex and a build to help you get through Steel Path.

Acquisition

The Reconifex blueprint pieces are found in Höllvania which means you need to complete The Hex quest and gain access to the Hex syndicate. Once that’s done you can earn the main blueprint from Höllvania bounties as a rare reward. The rest of the piece blueprints can be rewarded from Legacyte Harvest and Hell-Scrub missions.

Alternatively you can get the blueprints from Amir for Hex Standing after reaching Rank 4.

Stats

The Reconifex is a fun weapon with an active reload mechanic that adds element damage to the gun for free. Despite its low damage, this weapon has decently high critical stats with a large magazine.

Unique Trait

A precisely timed reload increases reload speed and infuses the new magazine with Heat Damage.

Burning Infection Reconifex Build

This build will focus on burning down tough enemies using a mix of Viral Damage Procs and the Reconifex’s guaranteed Heat Damage gained from its active reload.

Mods

The mod choice for this build is as follows:

  • Point Strike: As I mentioned before, the critical stats for the Reconifex are decently high so we want to lean into that. Point Strike will help pump our Critical Chance even higher.
  • Vital Sense: We add this mod for the same reason as Point Strike. Having a higher critical multiplier to match our critical chance is always useful.
  • Malignant Force: We need Toxin to help apply Viral to our weapon and Malignant Force does it while also boosting our Status Chance.
  • Primed Cryo Rounds/Cryo Rounds: The other element needed to make Viral. Primed Cryo Rounds are preferred because you get more damage from it, but regular Cryo Rounds are fine if you don’t have them.
  • Hellfire: Since we’ll be doing Heat Damage every time we active reload with this weapon, we mod in Hellfire to boost the damage a bit more.
  • Galvanized Chamber: The best multishot mod in the game. We add Galvanized Chamber to increase our damage as well as make adding Viral Procs easier since each multishot has a chance to apply the status.
  • Galvanized Scope: This mod will help us increase our critical chance as long as we’re getting headshots. Despite being a lead spitter, the Reconifex doesn’t jump that bad meaning we get an easy bonus to our crits.
  • Rifle Elementalist: We grab this mod to boost all the status damage we’ll be doing with this weapon. The added Punch Through is a nice bonus though.

Alternative mods

  • Critical Delay: This mod will offer better critical chance than Point Strike at the cost of Fire Rate. Good to put on if you have it, but it’s rare enough that Point Strike will do.
  • Faction Mods: A good alternative to Rifle Elementalist if you’re farming a specific faction and have a relevant faction mod.
  • Galvanized Aptitude/Rifle Aptitude: If you’re not satisfied with the Status Chance of the Reconifex, these mods will fix that issue.

Arcanes

  • Primary Deadhead: If you plan on getting headshots with this weapon then Primary Deadhead will increase your damage significantly. Typically this is always a safe option for Arcanes.
  • Primary Merciless: Kind of like Deadhead, but weaker. This will give you a damage bonus on kill as well as increased reload speed. A good alternative if you don’t have Deadhead or don’t want to focus on precision kills.
  • Primary Crux: A fun option for the Reonifex. It doesn’t increase damage but it does increase Status Chance and Ammo Efficiency on Weak Point Hit.
