How to Get Umbra Mods in Warframe

Umbralievable Power!

Excalibur Umbra gave Warframe a bit of a shake-up when he was released in The Sacrifice quest. While his emergence brought a lot of revelations to the world of Warframe, he also came with a couple of goodies that changed the way players built their Warframes; Umbra mods. In this guide, I’ll be going over every Umbral mod, what they do, and how to get them.

What are Umbra Mods

Umbral mods are a new mod set added with the Sacrifice quest alongside Excalibur Umbra. These are enhanced versions of existing mods, much like Prime mods, offering significantly more power with bonuses the more you have equipped.

These mods also have an added bonus that makes it easier to fight Sentient enemies. They come with their own unique Umbra polarity that is only naturally found on Excalibur Umbra. Still, Umbra Forma exists to make the energy drain easier on other Warframes and weapons. These mods also come in two types: Warframe mods and melee mods.

How to Get Umbra Mods

Luckily for players, all the Umbra mods are received after completing The Sacrifice. Once the quest is finished you’ll get all the Umbra mods at rank 5. If, for whatever reason, you get rid of the Umbra mods or want multiple, you can grab extra from Cephalon Simaris.

All Umbra Mods

Now that we know how to get Umbra mods, let’s look at all the Umbra mods and what they do.

Mod NameTypeEffectSentient Effect
Umbral FiberWarframe+100% Armor (+180% at set rank 3)+11% Tau Resistance (+19.8% at set rank 3)
Umbral VitalityWarframe+100% Health (+180% at set rank 3)11% Tau Resistance (+19.8% at set rank 3)
Umbral IntensifyWarframe+44% Ability Strength (+77% at set rank 3)11% Tau Resistance (+19.25% at set rank 3)
Sacrificial PressureMelee+110% Melee Damage (+137.5% at set rank 2)x1.3 Damage to Sentients (x1.65 at set rank 2)
Sacrificial SteelMelee+220% Critical Chance (+275% at set rank 2)x1.3 Damage to Sentients (x1.65 at set rank 2)

How to Use Umbra Mods

Umbra mods are incredibly straightforward and don’t require any hidden combos that some mod sets contain if you have the Energy to spare replace the mods of the same type with the Umbra version. Since similar mods can’t be slotted at the same time (for example Sacrificial Pressure and Pressure Point), then just use the Umbra mod for more power.
