Best Wattson Skins in Apex Legends, All Legendary Skins Ranked

Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale that puts you in the boots of one of many unique characters. These Legends come with their own skills and abilities and can have radically different playstyles. One of the most underrated and underutilized Legends is the quirky scientist, Wattson! Wattson is a character with a small but dedicated fanbase. If you choose to main this electrifying character, then chances are you want a way to stand out and look unique. In this article, we’re ranking the best Wattson skins in Apex Legends.

Let’s get started!

Best Wattson Skins in Apex Legends, Legendary Skins Ranked From Okay to Best

We’ll be covering all Wattson’s legendary skins from our least to most favorite, so let’s jump right in.

20/20

Bionic Wonder

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: October 2019 | Craft Requirement: Cyber Security & 10,500 Legend Tokens

Bionic Wonder Skin Apex Legends Wattson

Kicking off this ranking of all legendary Wattson skins in Apex Legends, we have Bionic Wonder! This skin has a white yellow and blue color combination. Normally this wouldn’t be so bad, but the yellow is too bright and the white on Wattson’s face makes her look ugly. The model itself could be better, as this makes Wattson look less cute and more like a creepy android.

The skin has been made available a total of three times in its lifespan. The first time was in October 2019, again in August 2021, and one more time in September 2022. If you missed it in September, you may have to wait for a while before it returns!

19/20

Strange Attractor

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Craft Requirement: 1,200 Crafting Material

Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG / Koby Gibson Ross

Now for the next skin on our list! Taking spot number nineteen, we have Strange Attractor. I don’t really like the color combinations here, but it isn’t as bad as the previous one. The model still looks just bizarre, but at least the color of her gloves looks pretty good. There’s not really much else to say here.

The skin can be obtained/purchased through Wattson’s cosmetics menu. It will set you back exactly 1,200 crafting materials, which really isn’t too bad of a price. The skin is very easy to obtain because of this, so I would recommend skipping over it if you want a cosmetic item that is more rare.

18/20

Ruby Joules

Apex Coin Cost: N/A | Initial Release Date: May 2020 | Craft Requirement: Strange Attractor & 6,500 Legend Tokens

Ruby Joules Wattson Skin.jfif

The next legendary skin on our ranking is called Ruby Joules! Unlike the other re-colors of this skin, I actually think this particular one is pretty decent. There’s a bit too much red, but it’s honestly not that bad overall. My opinions about the model are more or less the same, however, so this one isn’t getting a high spot.

The skin has only ever been released once during May 2020, two years ago! This makes it one of the rarer skins on this list. This skin must not have been very popular for Respawn to not release it again. Hopefully, it will come out sometime soon for everyone who really likes this particular skin.

17/20

Current Champ

Apex Coin Cost: N/A | Initial Release Date: August 2021 | Craft Requirement: Ace of Sparks & 10,500 Legend Tokens

Wattson Current Champ Skin Apex Legends

For our next pick on every Wattson skin in Apex Legends ranked, we have Current Champ! This is a blue and orange skin. The model itself I’m not a big fan of. I personally don’t like the look of the legs, but I do like the emerald green colored goggles that Watton is wearing. Other than that, the skin is just okay.

You could only ever pick up this skin during August 2021. Aside from that one date, this skin has not yet made a return to store shelves. I think it is likely to come back eventually, but it’s odd that it has been over a year and it hasn’t returned once.

16/20

Cyber Security

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Craft Requirement: 1,200 Crafting Material

Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG / Koby Gibson Ross

Cyber Security is the next legendary skin on our ranking. Out of all the other skins with this model, this one is the most pleasing to me. The black and white look nice together, and it makes the blue electricity on Wattson’s pylons stand out a lot more. This skin still isn’t the best, but at least it has a nice color scheme.

The Cyber Security skin can be acquired from the legendary skins section for Wattson’s cosmetics menu. This piece of gear can be unlocked at any time by purchasing it for a price of 1,200 crafting metals! It is a pretty easy-to-obtain skin, but I recommend skipping it for some prettier-looking items.

15/20

Fly-by-Wire

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Craft Requirement: 1,200 Crafting Material

Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG / Koby Gibson Ross

For the next spot on our ranking, let’s talk about Fly-by-Wire! This is a skin with a pretty simple color combination of gray and camo. The skin is made to look like a hunter’s outfit, which I think looks pretty cool. It doesn’t really stand out from all the other skins, but it does look pretty solid!

The skin can be made at anytime with 1,200 crafting materials! All you need to do to get a hold of this skin is to purchase it before a match from Wattson’s skins menu. This skin is very easy to obtain, as you can unlock crafting metals without spending money and just by leveling up in the game.

14/20

The Warrior Empress

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: August 2019 | Craft Requirement: N/A

Wattson The Warrior Empress Skin

For our next legendary skin, we have The Warrior Empress! I was pretty on the fence about putting in this spot. I don’t think the skin looks bad per se, but I do think it’s overrated. I really love the color combination, though — the blue and red meshes surprisingly well together.

The skin made its appearance way back in the Iron Crown Event during Watton’s debut in Season 2. The skin then made its return during Season 9 during another limited-time event. It most recently returned in April 2022. It seems like it will be at least a few seasons before it returns yet again.

13/20

Ace of Sparks

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Craft Requirement: 1,200 Crafting Material

Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG / Koby Gibson Ross

Next up is the legendary skin Ace of Sparks! This is a special cosmetic item that gives Wattson a poofy red winter coat and some matching gear. The aesthetics for this skin give me a mountain climber/skier vibe, and I think it looks really good on her. The bright, golden-yellow goggles she is wearing are my favorite detail!

You can craft this skin at any time by going into the cosmetics menu for Wattson. Purchasing this will cost you exactly 1,200 crafting metals. This makes the skin very easy to obtain, but it comes at the cost of making it less rare. I recommend this skin if you don’t care too much about rarity and are only concerned with looks.

12/20

Rocket Scientist

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: February 2021 | Craft Requirement: 1,200 Crafting Material

Rocket Scientist Wattson Skin

For the next pick on our list, we have Rocket Scientist! This is a skin I’m a little bit disappointed with. The model looks great, but I don’t like the look of it in red and black. It just doesn’t really fit, in my opinion, and the markings on her leggings don’t match the original skin aesthetics, either. Still, the skin isn’t bad and would make a fine addition to your collection.

We last saw this skin up for grabs in early 2022 as a part of the Lunar New Year event. Before that, it was available in Season 8 back in 2021. This makes it practically guaranteed to return sometime in the year 2023.

11/20

Shocking Stuffer

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: December 2019 | Craft Requirement: 2,400 Crafting Material

Shocking Stuff Wattson Skin

For our next spot, we have a very cute Christmas-themed skin called Shocking Stuffer! This is a unique-looking Watton skin that dresses her up like a Christmas elf. I really love the shade of green that they used here, and the outfit overall looks pretty nice. It’s definitely not the best skin, but it’s for sure worth picking up.

The skin first appeared in the limited-time Christmas event in December of 2019. After that, it has returned every year since then around Christmas time. If you want to pick up this cosmetic, you’ll need to add it to your Christmas wishlist, as it won’t return until later this year.

10/20

Lightning Spirit

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: July 2022 | Craft Requirement: 2,400 Crafting Material

Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG / Koby Gibson Ross

The next skin on our list is Lightning Spirit! This legendary cosmetic item takes on a similar appearance to the Ace of Sparks skin, but has a different model and a green and red color scheme. While I normally don’t like those two colors combined, these specific shades go nicely together! The outfit overall is very attractive, and it’s an underrated skin in my opinion.

This skin has only ever been released once. It appeared just recently in the Gaiden Event last Season, making it one of the newest skins on this list. It will probably be a while before it returns, possibly a year at the most, give or take a few months.

9/20

Deep Current

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: December 2021 | Craft Requirement: 2,400 Crafting Material

Deep Current Wattson Skin

For the next spot on our list, we have the skin Deep Currant! This is a somewhat edgy-looking skin with a blue and bronze color palette to it. It gives Wattson a new haircut, an eyepatch, and an oversized jacket to boot. I don’t think it looks as good as some of the other ones, but it is still a great skin!

The last time this skin appeared was actually very recent. It was in a bundle released in September. Before that, its first-ever appearance was back in Season 11 during a collection event. The skin is likely to appear a long time from now due to it just releasing. Sorry about that!

8/20

Vaporwave

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: January 2020 | Craft Requirement: Fly-By-Wire

Vaporwave Skin Wattson

The next cosmetic item on our list is the skin Vaporwave! This is a very pretty-looking light blue and pink colored legendary skin. The model is the same as the Fly-by-Wire skin, but I think this color palette looks a lot nicer. It may not be the fanciest skin on this list, but it is still worth picking up if you love the color pink.

This skin was last available for purchase in early Summer 2022. It has appeared two times before that, once in January 2020, and another time in February 2022. Because of this, it is a little hard to predict when it will return to the Apex Legends store rotations.

7/20

Haute Drop

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: January 2021 | Craft Requirement: 2,400 Crafting Material

Haute Drop Wattson Skin

Taking seventh place on our ranking is Haute Drop! This is a French-inspired skin that gives Wattson a light blue and aluminum gray color palette. She is given a really good-looking jacket and a French beret atop her head. Some may call this skin simple, but simple can look really good if done right. And this skin is definitely done right!

We last saw this skin during the Dark Depths limited-time event in January 2022. Before this, its first appearance was during the Fight Night limited-time event way back in Season 7. It’s too early in its lifecycle to really notice a pattern, but if I had to guess I’d say this skin will come back in late 2022 or sometime in 2023.

6/20

Chaos Conductor

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: March 2021 | Craft Requirement: 2,400 Crafting Material

Chaos Conductor Wattson Skin
Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG

For our next top pick on this list for all legendary Wattson skins in Apex Legends ranked, we have Chaos Conductor! This is a light blue and steel-colored skin that turns our lovable scientist into an electrified Spanish conquistador! It’s a really solid-looking skin, and the helmet is my favorite part.

The last time players could purchase this special skin was during in April 2022. Before that, it made its very first appearance during the Chaos Theory limited-time event that ran during Season 8. This skin has not shown up that often, but that is only because it was released relatively recently. It will most definitely show up again soon.

5/20

Outlands Explorer

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: June 2020 | Craft Requirement: 2,400 Crafting Material

Outlands Explorer Wattson Skin

Our next skin is the Outlands Explorer legendary cosmetic! This is a white and brown outfit with an early 20th century explore motif. It honestly looks like something out of Raiders of the Lost Ark. The skin gives her some nice details, such as a bedroll around her back and a set of medals on her chest.

This skin first appeared in Season 5 two years ago. Its most recent appearance was during Summer 2022, and before that, it appeared in the cosmetics store in 2021. Because it appears once a year, this skin is practically guaranteed to show up during an event or a store rotation in 2023.

4/20

Thunder Kitty

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: February 2022 | Craft Requirement: 2,400 Crafting Material

Thunder Kitty Skin Apex Legends

Up next for the best skins for Wattson in Apex Legends ranked, we have Thunder Kitty! this is a really sweet-looking yellow and purple skin that gives Wattson a poofy jacket, a pair of earphones with cat ears, and plenty of other awesome details. She looks like the DJ at a pool party in California! It may not fit her character that much, but it does look good!

The skin saw its debut during the Anniversary Collection Event earlier this year. The skin has not yet made another appearance and has only come to light once. It is difficult to say when this skin will return, but many skins have a habit of reappearing once a year. So perhaps in 2023, this skin will come back?

3/20

Wired for Speed

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: October 2020 | Craft Requirement: 2,400 Crafting Material

Wired for Speed Skin Wattson
Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG

Now for our next skin, we have Wired for Speed! This is a cyan-blue and white-colored skin that gives Wattson a racecar driver outfit! The skin features a sweet helmet with a pair of goggles across the top. I definitely recommend this skin if you love racing!

The last time we saw this outfit was during June 2022. Before that, it appeared in November last year and then again for the first time in October 2020. Due to this pattern of it appearing once every year, I think it’s basically guaranteed to show up again sometime in 2023.

2/20

Cyber Punked

Apex Coin Cost: N/A | Initial Release Date: Februrary 2020 | Craft Requirement: N/A

Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG / Koby Gibson Ross

For spot number two, we have one of my personal favorite skins, Cyber Punked! This is a black and reddish-pink skin that gives Wattson several cybernetic augmentations. She is dressed in punk attire with a black leather jacket and even an eye patch! My favorite part would definitely be her upper legs and forearms, which have been modified to be transparent.

This skin could only be picked up in the Season 4 Battle Pass. As of the time of this article, it has not yet made a return, making it one of the rarest skins on this list. I wouldn’t fret, as there’s a chance Respawn could bring back Battle Pass skins for limited-time events.

1/20

Silver Age

Apex Coin Cost: 1,800 | Initial Release Date: January 2020 | Craft Requirement: N/A

Silver Age Wattson Skin
Image: Respawn Entertainment via HGG

For our number one Wattson skin in Apex Legends, we have Silver Age! This is a very special-looking outfit that gives her a gold, blue, and white color palette. The skin has an Art Deco design to it. This model looks absolutely stunning, and it’s a shame more players can’t get their hands on this amazing skin.

This skin has appeared a total of four times throughout its entire lifetime. The first time this skin was shown off was during the Grand Soiree Arcade Event a few years ago. And most recently, the skin made an appearance during October 2021. Because it’s been almost a year since it last appeared, I think it’s very likely to come back before the end of the year.
