Horizon is an assault-class Legend with a big emphasis on mobility and gravity-defying stunts. Her kit made her very popular upon release, and she quickly became one of the most beloved Legends in the game. While she dropped in popularity greatly thanks to various nerfs, she still has a decent pick rate. If you are one of the many people who main Horizon, then you’ll want to check out our ranking of the best Horizon skins in Apex Legends!
We’ll be giving you our review on each and every one of Horizon’s legendary skins to help you find what skin is best for you, and how to get it for yourself.
Best Horizon Skins: All 13 Legendary Skins Ranked From OK to Best Overall
Let’s get right into this article for all legendary Horizon skins in Apex Legends, ranked!
13/13
Supermassive
First up on our list is the legendary skin, Supermassive! The skin features a black and gold palette that also recolors Horizon’s hair dark purple and black. I’m not a huge fan of the model itself — I don’t think the colors go very well with it, and the makeup and accessory they have on Horizon’s face don’t look that good. If you like it, more power to you, but I don’t recommend it.
This skin was last seen in May earlier this year, almost a year after its first release back in June 2021. Because of this big gap, you might be waiting for a while before it returns. There also doesn’t seem to be much player demand for it, so you should be patient.
12/13
Dark Matter
Next, we have Dark Matter! Sharing the same model as the previous skin, this version features a more muted color palette, with a white, gray, and red color scheme. She features the same mascara as the last skin, but I think the color palette makes it look somewhat better in this one. The model makes her look like an anime villain, which some people may like.
This legendary skin shipped with Horizon’s release back in Season 7. As such, you can unlock it for 1,200 crafting metals at any time by selecting it from her cosmetics menu.
11/13
Golden Boson
Golden Boson is the next legendary skin on our list. It showcases Horizon in a gold and blue color scheme, giving her black hair to contrast the outfit. This skin features many sharp and jagged edges, which I don’t think fit Horizon’s character. It’s a decent-looking outfit overall, and a must-get if you love gold, I just wouldn’t wear it personally.
The last time this skin was available for purchase was about one year ago, during the summer of 2021. Since the skin has not yet made a return, I think it’s unlikely (but definitely possible) that it will come back sometime in the future. Keep a look out for new cosmetic store rotations!
10/13
Neon Stardust
Coming up next on the list is Neon Stardust! This flashy-looking cosmetic gives Horizon a total cyberpunk makeover. Her neon pink and cyan color scheme fits the genre, and while I’m not a big fan of the hair, everything else on this skin looks pretty decent. Definitely worth buying if you love the cyberpunk genre!
This skin was also available around the time Horizon was released, but you couldn’t craft it from her cosmetic menu. You needed to buy a specific bundle in order to acquire it, which is no longer available at the time of this article. According to the Apex Item Store, it was last seen in December 2021, so you’ll probably have to wait a while before it ever returns.
9/13
Rising Storm
For the next spot on our ranking of all legendary Horizon skins in Apex Legends, we have Rising Storm. This one is a bit more menacing than the other skins on this list. It showcases a black, gold, and teal color scheme. The most noticeable feature about this appearance is the Iron Man-like mask across Horizon’s face! This gives it a very intimidating look, making it a must-buy if you’re into that thing.
The first and only time we have ever seen this skin available is during the month of April earlier this year. It hasn’t reappeared since then, but I think it’s likely it will return sometime in the near future. Just be sure to keep your eyes peeled for it in the Apex cosmetics store!
8/13
Terra Nova
Next, we have Terra Nova! This is a wonderfully shiny Horizon skin featuring a gold and brown color scheme with gray highlights. The exact aesthetic is hard to describe for this. Is she an aviator? A medieval knight? I don’t know, but either way, she looks absolutely amazing! I’m not that big of a fan of her haircut here, but the rest of her outfit more than makes up for that small detail.
This is one of the standard skins for Horizon, and is available 24/7 from her cosmetics menu. Simply go into this menu before beginning a match and head to the skins section. You should see this one alongside several other skins for her. It can be crafted for 1,200 crafting metals, and it’s well worth the price.
7/13
Overfloater
Now for our next skin, Overfloater! This one-of-a-kind legendary skin sports a pinkish-purple for its primary color, with a cotton candy blue as its secondary. The model is underwater-themed, giving Horizon a suit of aquatic armor with a fancy set of goggles! Is it just me, or does the look seem to be inspired by an octopus? Her hair is very wavy and curly, and for some reason, it reminds me of one.
This skin made its debut earlier this year in 2022. Because of how recently the skin was released, I think you may have to wait a bit before it comes back to the store. Considering how unique it looks, it will most definitely come back in the future, possibly as a re-color.
6/13
Galactic Guardian
Here we have a very playful skin, Galactic Guardian! This skin makes Horizon look like something out of a Transformers cartoon! The color palette is reddish pink, purple, and white. She features some very unique-looking armor with what appears to be a helmet atop her face. It’s a great skin if you’re feeling nostalgic for the 90s!
If you’re looking to pick up this skin, you’re in luck — this skin has returned to stores in the past. It first appeared back in 2021 and returned to the item store in February earlier this year. Because of this, it is likely to return once more sometime in the future.
5/13
Solaris
Up next we have the legendary Horizon skin, Solaris! This is a fancy-looking set of armor with a stainless steel, brown, and teal color scheme. The model is made to look like the suit of armor for a wealthy knight, and it features a star motif on the shoulder pad and chest. It may not fit her character very well (aside from the stars), but damn, does it look really good!
This skin is one of several that can be crafted at any time by going into the cosmetics menu for Horizon. The skin will cost 1,200 crafting metals to craft. Once you’ve crafted the skin, all you need to do is apply it to Horizon and you’ll be all good to go!
4/13
Biotic Luminary
Up next, we have my personal favorite skin, Biotic Luminary! This very cool legendary skin gives Horizon a blue, white, and orange color scheme. The model for the skin itself gives her an insectoid look, making it one of the more unique items on this list. The googles are made to resemble an insect’s eyes, and there are even little “antennas” sticking out of parts of her body!
This skin has only ever been released in the Battle Pass for Season 10, and will most likely never return because of this. It’s possible Respawn could give us the option to level up old passes in a future update (something that Halo: Infinite does), so don’t lose hope!
3/13
Atom Heart Mother
Taking the next spot on our list for all legendary Horizon skins in Apex Legends ranked, it’s the Atom Heart Mother skin! This very unique yet practical-looking skin features a beautiful shade of blue as its primary color, with a golden yellow as a secondary color. The armor is very stylized and well-made, but at the same time, it looks like something that would fit the Apex Legends universe.
This skin recently made its debut back in Season 13, which makes it one of the newest skins available for Horizon. Because of this fact, I find it unlikely it will return in the near future. If you want this really great-looking skin, you may have to wait at least a few months before it returns to the in-game cosmetics store.
2/13
Jewel of Olympus
Up next, we have the Jewel of Olympus legendary skin! Horizon is given a suit of armor made from solid gold! This beautiful golden color is complimented nicely with shades of pink, blue, and white. All the colors come together very nicely. As for the model of the skin, the armor looks well-made. I’m not that big a fan of the plating that goes around her face, though.
This skin first made its debut during the Warriors Collection Event, making it a fairly recent skin. As of the time of this article, it has yet to make a return to the Apex Store. It is likely to return at some point in the future, possibly as a re-color instead of the regular skin.
1/13
Brave Hero
Taking the number on spot on our list is the Brave Hero skin! This is a really well-made re-color of the Terra Nova skin. It features a gray, gold, and red color palette. The model itself looks very similar to its original skin. It features really well-made engravings that give it a classy, almost fantasy-like look to it. This is definitely one of the nicest-looking armors in the entire game!
The last time this skin was available for purchase was in April earlier this year. Because of how recently this skin came to the public, I don’t think it will come back to store shelves in the near future. It will most certainly come back, but probably not until the end of this year, or maybe sometime in 2023 at the latest.
