Nahida is a 5-star Dendro character in Genshin Impact. She’s especially great for Dendro damage and application, and she works well both on- and off-field. However, once you give her the right equipment, she quickly becomes an Elemental Reaction powerhouse, and her abilities open up a playground of possibilities. That’s right, today we’re talking about the best weapon for Nahida in Genshin Impact so you can unleash the full might of Lesser Lord Kusanali.
Let’s get started.
Foreword on the Best Weapon for Nahida

Whether it’s for a new character or one you’ve previously built, choosing the right weapon is incredibly important. Your choice of weapon can make or break your character’s DPS after all. However, it’s not always easy to figure out which weapon works best for your character and the rest of your team.
From Base ATKs to secondary stats to passive effects, there are a lot of factors to consider. Fortunately, that’s where we come in. After carefully examining the many catalyst options available, we’ve handpicked the top weapons for Nahida in Genshin Impact.
Below we’ll go over the different stats, passive effects, and drawbacks of each weapon so you can get a better idea of what will work best for your Nahida build. We also cover what items each weapon needs to be fully ascended too!
Our list covers the best 3, 4, and 5-star weapons available for Nahida, and we also go over some great free-to-play options too! For the most part, our rankings are assuming no refinements, but they’re definitely worth considering. It’s a great option for taking your weapons and characters to the next level if you have the resources.
Most of the weapons we recommend are available year-round, but some of them are time-limited. If you missed those weapons, consider using one of the other weapons on our list in the meantime. As long as you keep an eye on the new weapon banners each update and save up enough Primogems, you should get them eventually.
How to Choose a Weapon for Nahida

Before we get into the recommendations, let’s go over some basics about catalysts in Genshin Impact.
Stats
Generally, the best weapons for a character are going to be a 3, 4, or 5-star rarity as these weapons offer two stats and a passive effect. The first stat will always be Base ATK, and it’s a pretty good standard for how good a weapon is. It also combines with the ATK from your character and artifacts to create your character’s full ATK stat.
All weapons have ATK as their primary stat, though there are also a variety of secondary stats that weapons can have. ATK isn’t everything, and another stat may be far more valuable depending on your playstyle.
Secondary catalyst stats can be any one of the following:
- ATK%
- CRIT DMG%
- CRIT Rate%
- DEF%
- Elemental Mastery
- Energy Recharge
- HP%
- Physical DMG Bonus
Catering Nahida’s Weapon to Her Best Role

Nahida is a pretty flexible character, and she can work well in a variety of teams. You can use her on- or off-field, and she’s especially great for Dendro application and damage, as well as being a pretty good support character. However, her real specialty is triggering and enabling Elemental Reactions.
Dendro reacts with other elements in all sorts of ways, including Bloom, Burn, and Quicken. You can also combine the Dendro Cores from Bloom with Pyro or Electro to get the Burgeon and Hyperbloom reactions. Many of these reactions are quite explosive and they can deal quite a bit of AoE damage. If you really want to maximize the damage from these reactions, then you’ll want to have plenty of Elemental Mastery.
This stat is extremely valuable, though its benefits for Nahida and her team are twofold. On one hand, EM considerably amplifies Elemental Reaction damage, so the more you have, the more damage Nahida and her teammates will be able to do. However, because of Nahida’s passive talents, you’ll want to have as much EM as you can get. You see, her passives reward building EM with a number of buffs. As such, the more EM you have built, the more Elemental Mastery, CRIT Rate, and Bonus DMG your party will get, taking Lesser Lord Kusanali’s already impressive might to another level.
Of course, EM isn’t the only stat for Nahida and her weapons. She can work well with a variety of weapons, and with the right artifacts, stats Energy Recharge and CRIT are great options too!
Takeaway
Nahida has a lot of strengths, and she’s pretty flexible too! However, the most important thing is finding a weapon that works well for how you play the game. If that ends up being a weapon that fits the meta, then great! But if not, that’s fine too.
Overall, we made this list to help you know what to look for as you decide which weapons to use for Nahida in Genshin Impact. There are plenty of options out there, and hopefully, you’ll be able to find one that fits your playstyle and one-shots your enemies.
5 Best Weapons for Nahida in Genshin Impact, Ranked

Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s get into the recommendations. Here are Nahida’s top 5 weapons in Genshin Impact, ranked from good to best.
5/5
Magic Guide (3-Star)

First up is Magic Guide, a 3-star catalyst with a passive that works quite well with Nahida and the rest of her team. This is easily the best free-to-play weapon for Nahida in Genshin Impact, and despite being a 3-star weapon, it’s pretty competitive with some ascension and refinement. Overall, this catalyst is great for free-to-play players and people who use Nahida in a Quicken, Hyperbloom, or Pure Bloom team.
Stats and Effects
Base ATK (Level 90): 354
2nd Stat Type: Elemental Mastery
2nd Stat (Level 90): 187
Magic Guide may not have the highest Base ATK, but it offers quite a bit of Elemental Mastery. Given that Nahida’s gameplay is largely centered around Elemental Reactions, this makes Magic Guide a pretty valuable weapon.
Magic Guide also has a passive that increases damage against enemies affected by Hydro or Electro. Nahida works quite well with Hydro and Electro characters, so this passive works quite well for her, especially once you fully refine it and max out the DMG bonus.
Drawbacks
Magic Guide is pretty competitive, especially since it’s also a great free-to-play option. However, it is held back a bit by the low ATK that comes with 3-star weapons, and the value of its passive largely depends on your team.
While most Nahida teams have the Hydro or Electro characters needed to utilize Magic Guide’s passive, its uptime can be somewhat variable as Nahida’s Dendro application can sometimes overtake Hydro and Electro auras. This may or may not be a problem for you, and it ultimately depends on your setup and playstyle.
Materials
To fully ascend the Magic Guide, you’ll need the following materials:
- 105k Mora
- 2 Tile of Decarabian’s Tower (2-star weapon material)
- 6 Debris of Decarabian’s City (3-star weapon material)
- 6 Fragment of Decarabian’s Epic (4-star weapon material)
- 3 Scattered Piece of Decarabian’s Dream (5-star weapon material)
- 10 Heavy Horn (2-star enemy drop)
- 12 Black Bronze Horn (3-star enemy drop)
- 18 Black Crystal Horn (4-star enemy drop)
- 6 Slime Condensate(1-star enemy drop)
- 10 Slime Secretions (2-star enemy drop)
- 12 Slime Concentrate(3-star enemy drop)
4/5
Sacrificial Fragments (4-Star)

The next weapon on our list is Sacrificial Fragments, a 4-star catalyst with great stats. With the second highest EM weapon stat in the game, this catalyst is a great weapon to have, especially if you want to trigger plenty of Elemental Reactions and make the most of Nahida’s passive talents.
Stats and Effects
Base ATK (Level 90): 454
2nd Stat Type: Elemental Mastery
2nd Stat (Level 90): 221
In terms of stats, Sacrificial Fragments has a lot going for it. Like we mentioned above, it has the second highest EM stat in the game, making it a pretty useful weapon for Nahida for this alone. Its passive also makes it so Nahida’s Elemental Skill has a chance to end its own cooldown, letting you deal a little extra damage.
Drawbacks
While the EM from Sacrificial Fragments is valuable for Nahida, she doesn’t get much use out of its passive. Sure, it does let her deal a little extra damage, but most of Nahida’s damage potential comes from setting up, enabling, and triggering Elemental Reactions.
Compared to the passives of some of the other weapons on our list, Sacrificial Fragments doesn’t offer much (other than its great stats), and you might be better off going with a weapon that has more to offer for Nahida and the rest of your team.
Materials
To fully ascend the Sacrificial Fragments, you’ll need the following materials:
- 150k Mora
- 3 Fetters of the Dandelion Gladiator (2-star weapon material)
- 9 Chains of the Dandelion Gladiator (3-star weapon material)
- 9 Shackles of the Dandelion Gladiator (4-star weapon material)
- 4 Dream of the Dandelion Gladiator (5-star weapon material)
- 15 Chaos Device (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Chaos Circuit (3-star enemy drop)
- 28 Chaos Core (4-star enemy drop)
- 10 Treasure Hoarder Insignia (1-star enemy drop)
- 15 Silver Raven Insignia (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Golden Raven Insignia (3-star enemy drop)
3/5
Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds (5-Star)

If you use Nahida on-field, this 5-star catalyst is pretty competitive. EM isn’t everything, and if you want something a little different for your Nahida, then Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds might be the weapon for you.
Stats and Effects
Base ATK (Level 90): 608
2nd Stat Type: CRIT Rate
2nd Stat (Level 90): 33.1%
Compared to the other weapons on this list, Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds is pretty different as it gives Nahida higher ATK and CRIT Rate instead of EM. Once you combine this with the right equipment and Lost Prayer’s passive, it becomes a compelling option for Nahida, especially if you use her on-field. This is because Lost Prayers increases movement speed, and it also buffs Elemental DMG every 4 seconds in battle. This passive also stacks, with a max of 4 stacks.
This 5-star weapon is also on the Standard Banner, so while it’s still hard to get, it’s much more accessible than the other 5-star weapons options for Nahida.
Drawbacks
Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds offers Nahida a number of useful stats and buffs, but one of the stats it’s lacking is EM, which is a key stat for Nahida. While this isn’t a dealbreaker, it does mean you’ll have to rely solely on artifacts to get the EM needed to make the most of Nahida’s Elemental Reaction capabilities.
Materials
To fully ascend the Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds, you’ll need the following materials:
- 225k Mora
- 5 Fetters of the Dandelion Gladiator (2-star weapon material)
- 14 Chains of the Dandelion Gladiator (3-star weapon material)
- 14 Shackles of the Dandelion Gladiator (4-star weapon material)
- 6 Dream of the Dandelion Gladiator (5-star weapon material)
- 23 Chaos Device (2-star enemy drop)
- 27 Chaos Circuit (3-star enemy drop)
- 41 Chaos Core (4-star enemy drop)
- 15 Slime Condensate (1-star enemy drop)
- 23 Slime Secretions (2-star enemy drop)
- 27 Slime Concentrate (3-star enemy drop)
2/5
Wandering Evenstar (4-Star)

In second place on our list is Wandering Evenstar, a 4-star catalyst. Overall, it has pretty good stats, along with an passive that benefits the rest of your party. Wandering Evenstar is pretty competitive on its own, and depending on how much your team benefits from ATK, it becomes even more valuable.
Stats and Effects
Base ATK (Level 90): 510
2nd Stat Type: Elemental Mastery
2nd Stat (Level 90): 165
Wandering Evenstar has a great base ATK, and it also offers a good amount of EM. However, what’s really special about this catalyst is the unconditional passive it provides. Wildling Nightstar is always active, and it gives Nahida extra ATK equal to 24% of her Elemental Mastery.
If you build Nahida’s EM to around 900-1000, which is the optimal range for Nahida, that ends up being a pretty considerable ATK (and subsequently damage) bonus. Nahida’s teammates also benefit from this passive and get 30% of the buff Nahida receives.
Drawbacks
Wandering Evenstar is pretty competitive, but there are a couple of things you’ll need to consider. A lot of its value comes from the unconditional passive buff it provides, but how useful that is ultimately depends on your team. Not all Nahida-based teams will get much out of the extra ATK that Wandering Evenstar provides, and another weapon might have more to offer for your team and your playstyle.
Something else to keep in mind is that Wandering Evenstar is time-limited, so if you don’t have it, you’ll need to keep an eye on the new weapon banners so you can pull for it the next time it comes around.
Materials
To fully ascend the Wandering Evenstar, you’ll need the following materials:
- 150k Mora
- 3 Oasis Garden’s Reminiscence (2-star weapon material)
- 9 Oasis Garden’s Kindness (3-star weapon material)
- 9 Oasis Garden’s Mourning (4-star weapon material)
- 4 Oasis Garden’s Truth (5-star weapon material)
- 15 Inactivated Fungal Nucleus (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Dormant Fungal Nucleus (3-star enemy drop)
- 28 Robust Fungal Nucleus (4-star enemy drop)
- 10 Fungal Spores (1-star enemy drop)
- 15 Luminescent Pollen (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Crystalline Cyst Dust (3-star enemy drop)
1/5
A Thousand Floating Dreams (5-Star)

Finally, we have A Thousand Floating Dreams. If you’re looking for a powerful weapon for Nahida, look no further than this 5-star catalyst. With the EM and DMG Bonus it provides, it’s easily the best weapon for Nahida in Genshin Impact. If you have the Primogems, you’ll definitely want to pull it when you get the chance.
Stats and Effects
Base ATK (Level 90): 542
2nd Stat Type: Elemental Mastery
2nd Stat (Level 90): 265
A Thousand Floating Dreams is Nahida’s best-in-slot, and with everything it offers, that’s no surprise. Upfront, you get a great Base ATK along with the highest EM stat on a weapon in Genshin Impact. On top of that, you get a passive that provides several useful buffs for Nahida and her teammates.
Depending on the Elemental Types present in your party (with the exception of Nahida), Nahida will either receive EM or a DMG Bonus. For each character that’s the same Elemental Type as Nahida, Dendro, her Elemental Mastery will be increased by 32. If the Elemental Types are different, she will instead receive a 10% DMG Bonus per character. These effects also stack.
On top of that, A Thousand Floating Dreams also benefits the rest of the team, as it gives each character other than Nahida an EM increase of 40.
Drawbacks
For the most part, A Thousand Floating Dreams doesn’t really have any downsides. It has a ton of Elemental Mastery, which is really valuable for Nahida, and it also has a number of passive buffs for both Nahida and the rest of your party.
The only real drawback to Nahida’s best catalyst in Genshin Impact is that it’s time limited, so if you don’t have it, you’ll have to wait for the next time it comes around. It’s also not a guarantee as you have to win the 50/50, and it takes a lot of Primogems to get there.
As great as A Thousand Floating Dreams is, it’s also not significantly better than some of the other options for Nahida. As long as you give Nahida plenty of EM, using one of the other weapons on this list will more than suffice.
Materials
To fully ascend A Thousand Floating Dreams, you‘ll need the following materials:
- 225k Mora
- 5 Oasis Garden’s Reminiscence (2-star weapon material)
- 14 Oasis Garden’s Kindness (3-star weapon material)
- 14 Oasis Garden’s Mourning (4-star weapon material)
- 6 Oasis Garden’s Truth (5-star weapon material)
- 23 Damaged Prism (2-star enemy drop)
- 27 Turbid Prism (3-star enemy drop)
- 41 Radiant Prism (4-star enemy drop)
- 15 Fungal Spores (1-star enemy drop)
- 23 Luminescent Pollen (2-star enemy drop)
- 27 Crystalline Cyst Dust (3-star enemy drop)
