A huge part of Gensin Impact is resource management. To strengthen weapons, you need resources. To level up characters, you need resources. Even completing daily commissions sometimes require resources. That’s why we’re helping you out with a resource guide on the best places to find Treasure Hoarders in Genshin Impact.
General Info on Treasure Hoarders and Farming Treasure Hoarder Insignia
The main reason to face off against Treasure Hoarders is to get their dropped items. When fighting, each Treasure Hoarder has a chance to drop Treasure Hoarder Insignia, Silver Raven Insignia, and/or Golden Raven Insignia. These Insignia have a few uses, but are mostly used for building stronger playable characters.
While Treasure Hoarders can be found in every nation of Teyvat, players will want to focus on Liyue. Treasure Hoarders in Liyue and won’t be mixed in with Vagrants or Eremite Mercenaries like they are in some other nations.
Typically Treasure Hoarders roam around in groups of two or more. There are also times you may find a small group that spawn more Treasure Hoarders once you draw their attention. It isn’t unusual for Treasure Hoarders to suddenly appear only after you’ve started combat.
Most of the time you won’t actively need them, so farming for Treasure Hoarder Insignia isn’t going to be a top priority. Even so, knowing where to find a few densely packed Treasure Hoarder camps that can be raided every so often will go a long way to avoiding the need to grind.
Enemies like Treasure Hoarders will respawn every day, so there’s usually no need to track down each and every one in the game to get their Insignia. Completing a few raids every couple of days will more than suffice to get the Insignia you need.
Uses for Treasure Hoarder Insignia
There are three major uses for Treasure Hoarder Insignia in Genshin Impact. Most commonly, they are needed for character ascension, character talent leveling, and weapon ascension.
There are some other ways to use Treasure Hoarder Insignia, but most players won’t really need to worry about them. Often, in situations where Treasure Hoarder Insignia may be used, it’s possible to substitute other items instead.
Character Ascension
As of Version 3.4, there are eight characters who use Treasure Hoarder Insignia for their ascension. Most of these characters are 4-star characters so they are fairly common and not too hard to get. Only one of the characters is a 5-star character.
The 4-star characters who use Treasure Hoarder Insignia are: Beidou, Bennett, Kaeya, Heizou, Thoma, Xinyan, and Yanfei. Kazuha is the only 5-star character who uses Treasure Hoarder Insignia as of Version 3.4.
Luckily, whether they’re a 4-star or 5-star character, the amount of resources needed to ascend them doesn’t differ. So in order to fully ascend any character, players will need:
- 18 Treasure Hoarder Insignia (1-star)
- 30 Silver Raven Insignia (2-star)
- 36 Golden Raven Insignia (3-star)
Treasure Hoarders tend to have a high drop rate for their Insignia, so it shouldn’t take too long to get enough for character ascension. Most players will have a harder time collecting the rest of the resources needed for character ascension and can leisurely collect the Insignia while their resin refills.
Talent Leveling
When it comes Talent leveling, if a character needs an enemy drop item for their ascension, they will also need that item for their Talents as well. Meaning all of the characters we mentioned above will need more Treasure Hoarder Insignia to level up their Talents.
To fully level any one Talent, players will need:
- 6 Treasure Hoarder Insignia (1-star)
- 22 Silver Raven Insignia (2-star)
- 31 Golden Raven Insignia (3-star)
Needing so many Treasure Hoarder Insignia to Ascend characters and level up their Talents means burning through a lot of resources. Which is why knowing a few good places to farm Treasure Hoarder Insignia can be very helpful.
Nothing is more annoying than running out of enemy drop resources after spending so much time grinding for Talent books or ascension gems.
Weapon Ascension
As of Version 3.4, there are nineteen different weapons that require Treasure Hoarder Insignia for their ascension. Three of these are 5-star weapons, ten are 4-star weapons, four are 3-star weapons, one is a 2-star weapon, and one is a 1-star weapon.
Most players will be more interested in the 4-star and 5-star weapons than the lower rarity ones, but they will require more resources to ascend and level up.
To fully ascend a 5-star weapon, players will need:
- 15 Treasure Hoarder Insignia (1-star)
- 23 Silver Raven Insignia (2-star)
- 27 Golden Raven Insignia (3-star)
The 5-star weapons requiring Treasure Hoarder Insignia include: the Primordial Jade Cutter sword, The Unforged claymore, and the Vortex Vanquisher polearm.
To fully ascend a 4-star weapon, players will need:
- 10 Treasure Hoarder Insignia (1-star)
- 15 Silver Raven Insignia (2-star)
- 18 Golden Raven Insignia (3-star)
The 4-star weapons requiring Treasure Hoarder Insignia include the Crescent Pike polearm, the Kitain Cross Spear polearm, the Lion’s Roar sword, the Sword of Descension sword, the Whiteblind sword, the Makhaira Aquamarine claymore, the Mitternachts Waltz bow, the Prototype Crescent bow, the Sacrificial Fragments catalyst, and the Wine and Song catalyst.
While we suggest focusing on 4-star and 5-star weapons, there are some 3-star weapons worth getting. Curious players can find the 3-star weapon resources requirements below.
To fully ascend a 3-star weapon, players will need:
- 6 Treasure Hoarder Insignia (1-star)
- 10 Silver Raven Insignia (2-star)
- 12 Golden Raven Insignia (3-star)
The 3-star weapons requiring Treasure Hoarder Insignia include the Emerald Orb catalyst, the Fillet Blade sword, the Messenger bow, and the Skyrider Greatsword claymore.
10 Best Places for Farming Treasure Hoarder Insignia in Genshin Impact, Ranked
After going over how to use Treasure Hoarder Insignia, let’s go over where you can actually find them. While Treasure Hoarders can be found all over Teyvat, they tend to group up in certain areas more than others.
In general, Liyue is going to be the best place to find Treasure Hoarders. They can be found more frequently than in Monstadt and won’t be mingling with enemies that don’t drop Insignia like they do in Inazuma and Sumeru.
Players needing Handguards or Red Silk can feel free to farm in Inazuma and Sumeru, respectively, but don’t expect to find as many Treasure Hoarders as you would in Liyue.
When looking for Treasure Hoarders, it is easiest to find them near encampments and ruins. While they do frequent encampments more often than ruins, finding encampments can be a bit tricky without knowing where to look.
Of course, knowing where to look is our job. Let’s get into the best places to find Treasure Hoarders!
10/10
The Chasm/Lumberpick Valley, Liyue
While there are a ton of Treasure Hoarders riddled throughout The Chasm and the nearby Lumberpick Valley, they aren’t clumped up. Getting Treasure Hoarder Insignia in these areas will mean needing to spend some time tracking them all down throughout these areas.
It’s worth it if you’re really low on Insignia, but it’s also a bit of a time sink when there are so many other farming options available.
Determined players should be able to find around fifteen Treasure Hoarders sprinkled throughout Lumberpick Valley. Another dozen or so can be found scattered throughout The Chasm as well.
9/10
Guili Plains, Liyue
Another one of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders is in the Guili Plains of Liyue. It will take some searching, but before long, players should be able to find at least half a dozen Treasure Hoarders scattered throughout the area.
The first groups are easily found after teleporting to the Domain of Forsaken Ruins. There should be at least four Treasure Hoarders in the immediate vicinity.
Three more can be found near the waypoint to the South in the direction of Liyue Harbor and the Sea of Clouds. The distance between the two areas is a bit far but the waypoints make it a quick farming trip nonetheless. Between these two spots, players should be able to find at least seven Treasure Hoarders to fight.
A few more small groups can be found along the coast heading toward the Sea of Clouds, but these groups are harder to find and often hide under overhanging cliffs.
8/10
South of Kujou Encampment, Kannazuka Island, Inazuma
Taking eighth place on our list of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders in Genshin Impact is also the first spot in Inazuma!
After teleporting to the Kujou Encampment waypoint, players can head South toward the beaches. In Inazuma, enemies like Treasure Hoarders and Vagrants can often be found on beaches digging up boxes that were washed up by the ocean.
There are two main groups of Treasure Hoarders in this area on Kannazuka Island. While they are mixed in with some regional Inzauman enemies, there will still be at least five Treasure Hoarders to face in this area. Which makes it a nice little farming spot, especially if you’re also looking for Handguards.
7/10
Tianqiu Valley, Liyue
Our next spot on the list of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders in Genshin Impact is Tianqiu Valley!
There are two main groups of Treasure Hoarders to find in Tianqiu Valley. The first and smaller group can be found near the edge of the valley boarding Nantianmen. Players can teleport to the waypoint in Nantianmen and head West, following the water. At the nearby ruins, you will be able to find two Treasure Hoarders searching for artifacts.
The larger group of Treasure Hoarders to find in Tianqiu Valley can be found near the Primo Geovishap boss. This group of four Treasure Hoarders can be found in the ruins outside the boss area. Since they aren’t in the cavern with the Geovishap, players won’t need to worry about accidentally triggering a boss fight.
While the second group of Treasure Hoarders is larger than the first, it takes a bit longer to get to. It’s still worth raiding if you have the time, though, and will bring the total number of Treasure Hoarders in Tianqiu Valley up to six.
6/10
East of Mt. Aocang, Liyue
Another one of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders is in Minlin East of Mt. Aocang.
Players can teleport into the waypoint East of the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern domain then head North. There should be a large group of Treasure Hoarders in the area that can be found easily. After initiating combat, there should be at least seven Treasure Hoarder enemies to face and defeat.
More Treasure Hoarders can be found to the West toward Mt. Aocang, especially near the base of the mountain. Keeping a lookout for Treasure Hoarder camps in this area is going to be the easiest way to find them.
5/10
Bishui Plain, Northwest of Qingce Village, Liyue
While Treasure Hoarders tend to avoid populated areas for the most part, that doesn’t mean they can’t be found near villages throughout Liyue. Our next spot on the list of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders is one of those spots.
Using the teleport waypoint West of Qingce Village, players can head North across the water toward the peninsula. On it, they will be able to find a large group of Treasure Hoarders. They’re somewhat spread out across the area, but it’s still easy enough to find them all without needing to go searching.
In all, there should be seven Treasure Hoarders to find in this location. For those in dire need of Treasure Hoarder Insignia, there is a smaller group of enemies near the waterfall in Bishui Plain south of the village. The easiest way to reach them is to teleport to the waypoint along the water and climb up the side of the nearby cliff.
Beware the wild boars in this area, since they will run at you as soon as you spawn in. If you haven’t already gotten the Boared to Death achievement, this is a great place to do it. All you need to do is spawn in with little HP and let the boar do the rest.
4/10
North Dragonspine, Monstadt
Players looking for the best places to find Treasure Hoarders in Monstadt will definitely want to keep our fourth spot in mind while farming.
The Northwestern border of Dragonspine in Monstadt is chock full of Treasure Hoarders. Like many other areas, players will be able to find numerous groups wandering around. Beginning combat with these groups will also summon more Treasure Hoarders, too, which makes it a very efficient farming area.
While there are plenty of enemies to fight, it can be tricky due to the Sheer Cold effect of Dragonspine. Players who haven’t unlocked the area also may not be able to get to all the Treasure Hoarders around, since you will need to cross the river once or twice.
Players with full access to the area should be able to find nearly a dozen Treasure Hoarders as long as they’re willing to do some running.
3/10
Seirai Island, Inazuma
While our third spot on the list of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders isn’t in Liyue, it’s still very much worth checking out.
Players can teleport into any of the Seirai Island waypoints near Fort Hiraumi and make a circuit around the island. Numerous groups of Treasure Hoarders can be found lazing about, with a few Vagrants and Kairagi thrown in for good measure.
While Seirai Island does have a very high number of Treasure Hoarders, since they’re somewhat dispersed throughout the island, it can take a while to find and defeat them all. These groups also tend to summon more enemies after you begin combat, so it’s hard to know just how many Treasure Hoarders you’ll actually be facing.
Between the three major groups of enemy groups, though, players should be able to find around fifteen Treasure Hoarders.
2/10
West of Liyue Harbor, Liyue
Our second spot on the list of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders is right outside of Liyue Harbor in Liyue.
Scattered throughout Lisha east of Mt. Tianheng are roaming groups of Treasure Hoarders. While the groups aren’t too far from each other, it can still take some running around to get to all of them. Luckily, finding them is made slightly easier since the nearest waypoints give you a real bird’s eye view of the valleys where they wander.
The groups of Treasure Hoarders in this area tend to be a bit bigger than some of the other areas of Lisha, but there aren’t quite as many either. Still, this is definitely a spot worth hitting up if you’re in need of Treasure Hoarder Insignia.
Between the two major groups of Treasure Hoarders in the area, there should be at least nine enemies to fight in close proximity.
1/10
South Lisha, Liyue
We’ve finally reached our top spot and overall one of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders in Genshin Impact! Moving just a bit further south into Lisha from our last spot, players will be able to find Treasure Hoarders more densely grouped up than almost anywhere else in the game.
This spot is also easily accessible without needing to get too far into Story or Archon Quests.
Players can either teleport to the Jade Pavillion and glide down or teleport to the much closer waypoint south of Mt. Tianheng. Head south from the waypoint and players should be able to find Treasure Hoarders throughout the area. Each group has at least three enemies to fight, totaling up to at least nine Treasure Hoarders to defeat.
If all else fails…
In the event you hit up all of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders and you still don’t have enough, there are still a few more options you can try.
Adventure Book
The easiest way to find Treasure Hoarders you may have missed is to use the Enemy tracking function in the Adventure Book. We don’t recommend using the Adventure Book first, since it will only track a certain number of enemies before needing a cooldown.
The nice thing, though, is that if you defeat Treasure Hoarders where you know they will be grouped up most, the Adventure Book won’t try to redirect you to the same places. It will help you find new locations you may have missed.
The downside to the Adventure Book is that, unfortunately, there’s no telling how many enemies will be at the location it directs you to. It could be only one or two, rather than bigger groups.
Ley Line Challenges
Another option is fighting Ley Lines. Ley Lines have a set rotation where they spawn and which enemies will spawn at each location. If you know which Ley Lines will spawn Treasure Hoarders, you can go challenge those Ley Lines for some easy Treasure Hoarder Insignia.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to know where Treasure Hoarders will spawn unless you pay attention to the Ley Line rotation. Even if you do know which Ley Lines will spawn Treasure Hoarders, unless the Ley Lines have already spawned in those locations, you’ll need to use Resin to get them to spawn in the correct areas.
If you’re lucky, that will only take 20 to 40 Resin. If you’re unlucky, it could take 100 or more. Which is a lot to spend just to get more Treasure Hoarder Insignia.
Paimon’s Bargains
If you’ve gone through each of the best places to find Treasure Hoarders and exhausted the Adventure Book and the Ley Lines, there is still one surefire way to get some Treasure Hoarder Insignia.
Some Treasure Hoarder Insignia are available for purchase through Paimon’s Bargains in the in-game shop. Quantities are heavily limited, though, and the Shop’s inventory doesn’t respawn very frequently, so if you can avoid it, we definitely don’t recommend relying on getting your Insignia here.
Players of Adventure Rank 35 and higher will be able to purchase up to 75 Golden Raven Insignia through Paimon’s Bargains if they’re willing to spend two Masterless Starglitter for every three Insignia. (Though we suggest saving your Masterless Starglitter for Intertwined Fate rather than easily obtainable resources.)
The lower-rarity Silver Raven Insignia are also available through the Stardust Exchange for a much more reasonable five Masterless Stardust. The amount of Silver Raven Insignia available is much lower, though, with just 35 available each month. To purchase the Silver Raven Insignia, players only need to reach Adventure Rank 10.
Along with the Silver Raven Insignia, Treasure Hoarder Insignia are also available in the Stardust Exchange at Adventure Rank 10. They are sold in bundles of three, like the Golden Raven Insignia, with a max of 45 available each month. Each bundle of three Treasure Hoarder Insignia costs 5 Masterless Stardust.
Players who are out of options and need Insignia quickly should clear out the Stardust exchange first since Masterless Starglitter is much more difficult to come by.
