Bennett of Monstadt is a friendly kid, but his dreams of starting his own adventuring team don’t make it very far before calamity drives his team members away. That hasn’t stopped him from keeping an upbeat attitude and doing his best to help support his dads. That’s why we’re doing our part to support him with our list of the best weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact!
Foreword on the Best Weapons for Bennett
Bennett is a fantastic Support character — in fact, he’s one of the best in the game. Finding the right weapon to enhance his Talents is incredibly important, though. With the wrong weapon, he’ll easily go from a fantastic Support to a liability.
That’s why we came up with a list of the top five weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact. Along with weapon recommendations, you’ll also find each weapon’s stats, along with the materials needed to ascend them and an explanation of their main effects.
Our list covers the best 4-star and 5-star weapon options in the game for Bennett. We normally like to include a 3-star option, but unfortunately for Bennett, there aren’t any that are really worth getting. Luckily, most of the weapon options for Bennett are still pretty easy to obtain.
That being said, not every weapon on our list is going to be the easiest to get your hands on. 5-star weapons are typically pretty difficult to get, even if you have enough primogems. Just make sure you keep an eye out on the different events and weapon banners that crop up, and you should be able to get a fantastic weapon in no time.
How to Choose a Weapon for Bennett in Genshin Impact
Choosing the right weapon for Bennett can be a little tricky if you don’t know what you’re looking for. Even if a weapon seems like it’s a good fit, the wrong team comp can really screw things up. Certain teams just work better with certain weapons. Don’t worry about that too much, though — we’re going over the basics so you know what you’re looking for when it comes to weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact.
Stats
There are a few things to know about weapons in Genshin Impact before you go picking one willy-nilly. Firstly, the best weapons are 3-star rarity and higher. 1-star and 2-star weapons only have a single ATK stat, while higher rarity weapons have a secondary stat and passive abilities/effects.
Even for higher rarity weapons, the primary stat is always going to be ATK. This ATK stat, when added to the wielder’s ATK stat, creates their Base ATK. This Base ATK stat is incredibly important for Bennett in particular. Secondary sword stats can be any one of the following:
- ATK%
- CRIT DMG%
- CRIT Rate%
- DEF%
- Elemental Mastery
- Energy Recharge%
- HP%
- Physical DMG Bonus%
Catering Bennett’s Weapon to His Best Role
Bennett is a Support character. His Talents are best suited to buffing his party members, rather than dealing high amounts of damage himself. Thanks to his Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage, his party members gain an ATK buff based on Bennett’s total Base ATK. We told you it was important, didn’t we?
Like we went over earlier, his total Base ATK is taken from his own ATK stat added to his weapon’s ATK stat. This number can be found easily by looking at Bennett’s detailed stat page and the primary ATK stat of his weapon. Even for weapons with a secondary ATK stat, only the primary ATK stat will affect Bennett’s ATK Buff. This means the most important thing to look for in a weapon for Bennett is a high Base ATK.
Keeping with the theme of getting the most out of his Elemental Burst, the next most important thing for Bennett is to have a high Energy Recharge. More Energy Recharge means less down time between using his Elemental Burst.
Takeaway
In order to increase the buff his Elemental Burst grants, the best weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact should have a high ATK stat. There is a little more flexibility with the secondary weapon stat since it won’t factor into his Elemental Burst buff.
5 Best Weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact, Ranked
Now that we know what to look for in weapons for Bennett, we can get into the actual weapon recommendations! Without further ado, here are the top five weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact.
5/5
Sacrificial Sword (4-Star Sword)
When choosing potential weapons for Bennet in Genshin Impact, it’s hard to go wrong with the Sacrificial Sword. It’s very player-friendly and easy to use while still working pretty well with Bennett’s kit.
Stats and Effects
The Sacrificial Sword’s most important stat as far as Bennett is concerned is its Base ATK stat. Reaching up to 454 ATK, this weapon’s ATK stat is decent as far as 4-star weapons go. Weapons with higher ATK stats tend to be more difficult to get and not as straightforward to use.
The secondary stat increases Bennett’s Energy Recharge stat by up to 61.3%, which is actually pretty high even when compared to 5-star weapon options.
As part of the Sacrificial Series, the Sacrificial Weapon’s main effect should sound pretty familiar. When using his Elemental Skill, Composed gives Bennett a 40% chance to end his skill CD if he deals DMG with it. This effect can occur up to once every 30 seconds. Higher Refinement levels increase the chance to end his skill CD while also increasing how frequently the effect can occur.
Overall, the Composed effect is incredibly straightforward. No need to keep track of specific conditions. When added to the high Energy Recharge, the Sacrificial Sword is a great fit for Bennett.
Drawbacks
While the Sacrificial Sword is a decent choice for Bennett, there are also better options out there.
The mid Base ATK of the weapon is okay, but not very impressive overall, even given the high Energy Recharge. Energy Recharge can be gained through artifacts, while Base ATK cannot. That means prioritizing high Base ATK is more important than having high Energy Recharge.
After all, the higher the Base ATK of the weapon, the higher the ATK Buff given to Bennett’s party.
Materials
To fully ascend the Sacrificial Sword, you will need the following materials:
- 150k Mora
- 3 Fetters of the Dandelion Gladiator (2-star weapon material)
- 9 Chains of the Dandelion Gladiator (3-star weapon material)
- 9 Shackles of the Dandelion Gladiator (4-star weapon material)
- 4 Dream of the Dandelion Gladiator (5-star weapon material)
- 15 Chaos Device (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Chaos Circuit (3-star enemy drop)
- 27 Chaos Core (4-star enemy drop)
- 10 Divining Scrolls (1-star enemy drop)
- 15 Sealed Scroll (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Forbidden Curse Scroll (3-star enemy drop)
4/5
Sapwood Blade (4-Star Sword)
Our next sword on the list of the best weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact is the Sapwood Blade!
As a newer weapon to Genshin Impact, many players may be unfamiliar with this blade, but it is actually the most free-to-play friendly option on our list. It is accessible to every player…eventually.
Stats and Effects
Undoubtedly the best things about the Sapwood Blade are that it is a forgeable weapon and that its Base ATK is a very respectable 565.
The secondary stat of this weapon is also Energy Recharge like the Sacrificial Sword, but unlike the Sacrificial Sword, the Sapwood Blade’s Energy Recharge stat only reaches a max of 30.6%. While that’s a little underwhelming, it’s more than made up for by the accessibility of this weapon. Its high Base ATK is also very desirable since it’s so important for Bennett.
Aside from the stats of the weapon, the Sapwood Blade’s main effect is Forest Sanctuary. This effect is tailor-made for a team with strong Dendro Elemental Reactions, so keep that in mind if you choose this blade for Bennett.
After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon Reactions, a Leaf of Consciousness is created. Any character is able to pick up these Leaves of Consciousness, and each Leaf will grant 60 Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds.
The nice thing about this effect is that it can be triggered even if Bennett isn’t on the field, though only one Leaf of Consciousness can be created every 20 seconds. Even if multiple characters in the party have this weapon, the effect cannot be stacked.
Drawbacks
While this is a pretty good weapon for Bennett, it works best with a Dendro character on the team. Players who don’t want to use the Dendro Traveler or a character good at consistently applying Dendro won’t trigger many (if any) Leaves of Consciousness. Which means missing out on a fairly consistent Elemental Mastery buff.
This puts a huge restriction on team comps and limits a lot of what Bennett can do unless you have the right character to team up with him. Not the biggest obstacle to overcome, but an obstacle nonetheless.
Still, it’s hard to beat the high Base ATK of the Sapwood Blade. This is also one of the few forgeable weapons in the game, which means it will be available to everyone. Players will need to clear the Aranyaka World Quests in Sumeru before they can get the forging blueprint, though.
Materials
To forge the Sapwood Blade, you will need the following materials:
- 500 Mora
- Midlander Sword Billet (4-star forging material)
- 50 Crystal Chunk (1-star item)
- 50 White Iron Chunk (1-star item)
Players may only obtain Midlander Billets through certain rewards in Sumeru or by defeating Sumeru Trounce Domains. As of Version 3.3, this means there is only one option each week to obtain a Midlander Billet.
Luckily, Midlander Billets can be crafted using Northlander Billets and the 4-star item Dream Solvent. Neither resource is the most readily available, though, so make sure you use them sparingly.
To fully ascend the Sapwood Blade, you will need the following materials:
- 150k Mora
- 3 Copper Talisman of the Forest Dew (2-star weapon material)
- 9 Iron Talisman of the Forest Dew (3-star weapon material)
- 9 Silver Talisman of the Forest Dew (4-star weapon material)
- 4 Golden Talisman of the Forest Dew (5-star weapon material)
- 15 Chaos Storage (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Chaos Module (3-star enemy drop)
- 27 Chaos Bolt (4-star enemy drop)
- 10 Faded Red Satin (1-star enemy drop)
- 15 Trimmed Red Silk (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Rich Red Brocade (3-star enemy drop)
3/5
The Alley Flash (4-Star Sword)
For players who would rather not use their primos on 5-star weapons, the Alley Flash is undoubtedly the best option for 4-star blades.
While this weapon’s effect isn’t as flashy as its name might suggest, it still works incredibly well with Bennett’s Elemental Burst. It also provides one of the highest possible ATK buffs for your team from a 4-star weapon.
Stats and Effects
Coming in at a total 620 max Base ATK, The Alley Flash actually has the second highest Base ATK out of all the weapons in our list. The Alley Flash’s secondary stat, Elemental Mastery, has a slightly less impressive max of 55.
While Elemental Mastery isn’t the best stat for Bennett, with the right build and team comp, it can still make for some impressive Elemental Reaction DMG.
The Alley Flash’s main effect, Itinerant Hero, increases Bennett’s DMG by 12%. Unfortunately, taking DMG temporarily disables this effect for 5 seconds. When fully refined, this simple effect can increase Bennett’s DMG by up to 24%, which is pretty impressive. Especially when paired with a strong shield character who can prevent Bennett from taking any DMG reliably.
The effect may not be as impressive as some other weapons, but it works incredibly well for Bennett, who really needs that high Base ATK to provide the rest of his team the biggest buffs.
Drawbacks
While a good weapon for Bennett doesn’t need much more than a high Base ATK, it would be nice if The Alley Flash had a little more to it. 55 Elemental Mastery really isn’t much. Most players also probably won’t see the DMG buff in action a whole lot either, since Bennett is mostly used as a quick buffer/healer rather than a DMG dealer.
Basically, unless you really try to take advantage of the Alley Flash’s secondary stat and effect, you won’t really see much use out of them.
Materials
To fully ascend The Alley Flash, you will need the following materials:
- 150k Mora
- 3 Tile of Decarabian’s Tower (2-star weapon material)
- 9 Debris of Decarabian’s City (3-star weapon material)
- 9 Fragment of Decarabian’s Epic (4-star weapon material)
- 4 Scattered Piece of Decarabian’s Dream (5-star weapon material)
- 15 Heavy Horn (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Black Bronze Horn (3-star enemy drop)
- 27 Black Crystal Horn (4-star enemy drop)
- 10 Divining Scroll (1-star enemy drop)
- 15 Sealed Scroll (2-star enemy drop)
- 18 Forbidden Curse Scroll (3-star enemy drop)
2/5
Mistsplitter Reforged (5-Star Sword)
Our second best ranked out of all weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact is the 5-star Mistsplitter Reforged sword.
This blade works incredibly well with a classic Bennett build and complements his Elemental Burst’s buffing ability through its own buffs. Benny’s Adventure Team is sure to appreciate having him in their party this time if he’s packing this particular blade.
Stats and Effects
The Mistsplitter Reforged will help give your Bennett build an extra punch with a Base ATK topping out at 674. The primary stat alone is almost enough to make this sword worth choosing, since few other weapons even come close.
After the impressive Base ATK, the secondary stat is CRIT DMG and reaches 44.1% when fully ascended and leveled. While Bennett may not be on the field for too long, the CRIT DMG is still very nice to have anyway.
The Mistsplitter Reforged’s main effect, aptly named Mistsplitter’s Edge, grants Bennett a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus. In addition to the 12% DMG Bonus, Bennett will also receive stacks of Mistsplitter’s Emblem. Up to three stacks can be gained, with each stack granting Bennett a rolling buff. One stack of Mistplitter’s Emblem will give an 8% Pyro DMG Bonus, two stacks will give 16%, and three stacks will give a 28% Pyro DMG Bonus.
There are three methods to gaining Mistsplitter’s Emblem Stacks, with each stack type having a unique duration time. The first way is by dealing Elemental DMG with Normal Attacks. Stacks created this way last for 5 seconds. The second way is by using an Elemental Burst, which creates a stack lasting 10 seconds. The third and final way to create Mistsplitter’s Emblem stacks is to have less than 100% Energy. These stacks last until Bennett’s Energy is full.
Drawbacks
This sword is an incredibly powerful weapon that some players might feel is wasted on Bennett if they aren’t using him very actively.
The reason we have it so high on our list of the best weapons for Bennett is due to its high Base ATK stat. While it is possible to compensate for Energy Recharge through artifacts, there’s just no replacing a weapon’s Base ATK, which is where so much of Bennett’s buff comes from.
Another drawback is that, admittedly, the Mistsplitter Reforged does sacrifice some of Bennett’s healing ability. Most players won’t notice too much, though, since our boy Benny isn’t usually picked for his healing skills in the first place. It is still something to keep in mind, though.
Materials
To fully ascend the Mistsplitter Reforged, you will need:
- 225k Mora
- 5 Coral Branch of a Distant Sea (2-star weapon material)
- 14 Jeweled Branch of a Distant Sea (3-star weapon material)
- 14 Jade Branch of a Distant Sea (4-star weapon material)
- 6 Golden Branch of a Distant Sea (5-star weapon material)
- 23 Chaos Gear (2-star enemy drop)
- 27 Chaos Axis (3-star enemy drop)
- 41 Chaos Oculus (4-star enemy drop)
- 15 Old Handguard (1-star enemy drop)
- 23 Kageuchi Handguard (2-star enemy drop)
- 27 Famed Handguard (3-star enemy drop)
1/5
Skyward Blade (5-Star Sword)
Reaching the end of our list of the best weapons for Bennett in Genshin Impact is an incredible weapon and another 5-star, the Skyward Blade!
For Bennett, this weapon is pretty much a match made in Celestia.
Stats and Effects
You get the best of both worlds with the Skyward Blade. While it doesn’t have a Base ATK quite as high as the Mistplitter Reforged, it still reaches a respectable 608, which is higher than almost any 4-star option to date.
The benefits of the Skyward Blade are made even greater with the secondary Energy Recharge stat. Reaching a 44.1% increase, there aren’t many other weapons that can match it.
The main effect of this weapon, Sky-Piercing Fang, increases Bennett’s CRIT Rate by a base 4%. After using his Elemental Burst, Bennett also gains Skypiercing Might. This buff increases his Movement SPD and ATK SPD by 10%, while also increasing Normal and Charged ATK DMG by 20% of his ATK stat. The Skypiercing Might buff lasts for 12 seconds.
Drawbacks
In order to get the highest Base ATK coupled with a high Energy Recharge stat, 5-star weapons are pretty much the only option. Unfortunately, that means they are hard to get and often come with impressive effects that Bennett may not be able to make the best use of.
While increasing CRIT Rate is a really good effect for a weapon to have, it doesn’t mean as much to Bennett as it would to a DPS character.
On the bright side, the Skyward Blade is actually always available. Unlike many other 5-star weapons, it can be obtained through the Standard Wish banner at any time. The odds of getting it aren’t great, but you won’t have to worry about missing out on Limited-Time banners or events.
Materials
To fully ascend the Skyward Blade, you will need the following materials:
- 225k Mora
- 5 Boreal Wolf’s Milk Tooth (2-star weapon material)
- 14 Boreal Wolf’s Cracked Tooth (3-star weapon material)
- 14 Boreal Wolf’s Broken Fang (4-star weapon material)
- 6 Boreal Wolf’s Nostalgia (5-star weapon material)
- 23 Dead Ley Line Branch (2-star enemy drop)
- 27 Dead Ley Line Leaves (3-star enemy drop)
- 41 Ley Line Sprout (4-star enemy drop)
- 15 Slime Condensate (1-star enemy drop)
- 23 Slime Secretions (2-star enemy drop)
- 27 Slime Concentrate (3-star enemy drop)
