How to Easily Beat Godrick the Grafted in Elden Ring

If you’ve been playing Elden Ring for any period of time, then you should know that one of the most difficult (and enjoyable) aspects of the game is its bosses. There are well over a hundred of them in the game, most with a unique design and set of moves that make them incredibly rewarding to defeat. One of these many bosses is Godrick the Grafted!

Godrick is an optional boss, but most players will still run into him in order to progress the story. But where can you find this boss? How can you beat him? We’ll be covering these questions in our guide for how to easily beat Godrick the Grafted in Elden Ring!

Instructions on How to Beat Godrick The Grafted

Let’s get right into the walkthrough!

Where is Godrick the Grafted?

Godrick the Grafted is initially found in a place called Stormveil Castle. You can find this castle by heading to the northwest of the region Limgrave. Once you find this location, head inside and make your way through the area until you reach Margit The Fell Omen. Once you beat this boss, you’ll be able to progress further into the deeper parts of the castle.

Just keep exploring the area and eventually you will reach the end of the castle, which is where you’ll find Godrick the Grafted. For a full walkthrough of how to find Godrick the Grafted, you can watch this excellent video tutorial by YouTuber edepot here.

How Can I Beat Him Easily?

Now for how to easily beat Godrick the Grafted in Elden Ring. Before you enter the arena, you’ll first want to talk to an NPC named Nepheli Loux.

She can also be found at Stormveil Castle, very close to a Site of Grace called Secluded Cell. She can be found along the way to this Site of Grace and is inside a small room off to the side. You can watch a full video walkthrough of where to find her by YouTuber Fuzzy Bearbarian here.

Once you talk to this NPC, head to Godrick’s location and activate her gold summon sign next to the door (which should be where she’s standing in the image above). She will aid you in the fight. Then just enter the arena and after the cutscene ends, use one of your summons (I recommend the Skeletal Milita ashes). Now you should have multiple allies to help take the heat off of Godrick’s attacks!

During the first half of the fight, your summons should be able to take most of his attacks. Your job will be to stay clear of them and attack Godrick from his sides, or preferably his back. You should be able to wear his health down enough to trigger the second phase of his fight before Nepheli Loux dies.

Once the second part of this boss fight has begun, Godrick will have access to a flame attack. This thing is incredibly deadly and deals high amounts of damage. Whenever he activates this attack, you’ll want to rush behind him and hit him from there.

If your allies are all dead by this point and you’re having some trouble dodging his attacks, feel free to use some of the set pieces in the area to take cover behind. There are plenty of rocks, pillars, and other objects that make good hiding places.
