Elden Ring: Hardest Achievements and How to Get Them

Elden Ring is not an easy game, nor are its achievements. Some achievements are trivial (go to the Roundtable Hold, kill an early-game boss, etc.), but others require potentially hours to complete. In this article, we’re going to take a look at the hardest achievements to complete, whether due to high skill requirements or simply a lengthy time investment.

Also, be warned of spoilers — this guide is written for players who have finished the game and are going back to finish achievements.

All Legendary Armaments

This achievement requires you to collect each legendary weapon in the game. There are nine of these in total. Here’s a list of each and a description of where to find them:

1. Grafted Blade Greatsword

🧭Located in Castle Morn, just south of Limgrave (the starting location).

After progressing through the castle, you’ll find a boss called Leonine Misbegotten at the area’s southernmost point. Defeat this boss and the sword will be yours.

2. Sword of Night and Flame

🧭 Located in Caria Manor.

The sword is in a chest that is pretty easily accessible without fighting many enemies.

3. Marias Executioners’ Sword

🧭Located in The Shaded Castle. Defeat the boss of the area, Elemer of the Briar, to receive the sword.

The fight is fairly average in terms of difficulty, and it’s quite a good one as well.

4. Dark Moon Greatsword

🧭Located in the Moonlight Altar at the end of Ranni’s questline.

To get this sword, you will have to progress all the way through Ranni’s questline and go up the elevator after defeating Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. Here, Ranni will leave you the sword as a gift after speaking to her.

5. Devourer’s Scepter

🧭Located in either the Warmaster’s Shack in Limgrave or Crumbling Farum Azula, just away from the Beside the Great Bridge site of grace.

To collect this weapon in either location, you’ll have to defeat Knight Bernahl. If you go to him at the Warmaster’s Shack, he will be a friendly NPC whom you can choose to kill for the weapon. If you do not do this, you will have to wait until he invades you at Crumbling Farum Azula.

NOTE: If you intend on getting this weapon in Crumbling Farum Azula, you must do so before killing Maliketh, because this will likely prevent him from spawning and lock you out of being able to get the weapon.

6. Bolt of Gransax

🧭Located in Leyndell, Royal Capital.

After defeating Godfrey, First Elden Lord (the first encounter with Godfrey), this weapon can be located sitting on a large spear that you can walk up.

NOTE: This weapon must be collected before defeating Maliketh and transforming the capital into Leyndell, Ashen Capital.

7. Eclipse Shotel

🧭Located in Castle Sol in Mountaintops of the Giants.

This weapon is inside of a church within the castle, and it doesn’t require defeating bosses to get (however, I recommend fighting Commander Niall while you’re there because he’s a great boss).

8. Golden Order Greatsword

🧭Located in the Cave of the Forlorn in the Consecrated Snowfields.

Within the cave, you will find a Misbegotten Warrior wielding the sword. Defeat it and it’ll drop the weapon so you can pick it up.

NOTE: To get to the Consecrated Snowfields in the first place, you will need both halves of the Haligree Secret Medallion. The right half can be found in the Village of the Albunarics in Liurnia. This village is under a cliff in the southwest part of the area. To get the medallion here, you have to roll into a man disguised as a pot just past the perfumer enemy. The left half of the medallion can be found in Castle Sol in Mountaintop of the Giants, right after the Commander Niall boss fight.
