Elden Ring is not an easy game, nor are its achievements. Some achievements are trivial (go to the Roundtable Hold, kill an early-game boss, etc.), but others require potentially hours to complete. In this article, we’re going to take a look at the hardest achievements to complete, whether due to high skill requirements or simply a lengthy time investment.
Also, be warned of spoilers — this guide is written for players who have finished the game and are going back to finish achievements.

All Legendary Armaments
This achievement requires you to collect each legendary weapon in the game. There are nine of these in total. Here’s a list of each and a description of where to find them:
1. Grafted Blade Greatsword
🧭Located in Castle Morn, just south of Limgrave (the starting location).
After progressing through the castle, you’ll find a boss called Leonine Misbegotten at the area’s southernmost point. Defeat this boss and the sword will be yours.
2. Sword of Night and Flame
🧭 Located in Caria Manor.
The sword is in a chest that is pretty easily accessible without fighting many enemies.
3. Marias Executioners’ Sword
🧭Located in The Shaded Castle. Defeat the boss of the area, Elemer of the Briar, to receive the sword.
The fight is fairly average in terms of difficulty, and it’s quite a good one as well.
4. Dark Moon Greatsword
🧭Located in the Moonlight Altar at the end of Ranni’s questline.
To get this sword, you will have to progress all the way through Ranni’s questline and go up the elevator after defeating Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. Here, Ranni will leave you the sword as a gift after speaking to her.
5. Devourer’s Scepter
🧭Located in either the Warmaster’s Shack in Limgrave or Crumbling Farum Azula, just away from the Beside the Great Bridge site of grace.
To collect this weapon in either location, you’ll have to defeat Knight Bernahl. If you go to him at the Warmaster’s Shack, he will be a friendly NPC whom you can choose to kill for the weapon. If you do not do this, you will have to wait until he invades you at Crumbling Farum Azula.
NOTE: If you intend on getting this weapon in Crumbling Farum Azula, you must do so before killing Maliketh, because this will likely prevent him from spawning and lock you out of being able to get the weapon.
6. Bolt of Gransax
🧭Located in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
After defeating Godfrey, First Elden Lord (the first encounter with Godfrey), this weapon can be located sitting on a large spear that you can walk up.
NOTE: This weapon must be collected before defeating Maliketh and transforming the capital into Leyndell, Ashen Capital.
7. Eclipse Shotel
🧭Located in Castle Sol in Mountaintops of the Giants.
This weapon is inside of a church within the castle, and it doesn’t require defeating bosses to get (however, I recommend fighting Commander Niall while you’re there because he’s a great boss).
8. Golden Order Greatsword
🧭Located in the Cave of the Forlorn in the Consecrated Snowfields.
Within the cave, you will find a Misbegotten Warrior wielding the sword. Defeat it and it’ll drop the weapon so you can pick it up.
NOTE: To get to the Consecrated Snowfields in the first place, you will need both halves of the Haligree Secret Medallion. The right half can be found in the Village of the Albunarics in Liurnia. This village is under a cliff in the southwest part of the area. To get the medallion here, you have to roll into a man disguised as a pot just past the perfumer enemy. The left half of the medallion can be found in Castle Sol in Mountaintop of the Giants, right after the Commander Niall boss fight.
All Legendary Sorceries and Incantations
This achievement is similar to the Legendary Armaments one, but requires you to collect all seven legendary sorceries and incantations instead.
1. Greyoll’s Roar
📜 Purchased from the Dragon Communion Altar at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.
To unlock this incantation for purchase at the altar, you must first defeat Elder Dragon Grayoll. You can find it in northeast Caelid, right in front of Fort Faroth. Killing this enemy is easy, as it doesn’t fight back. If you attack it from behind, out of sight of the nearby dragons meant to defend it, you can do so without being attacked at all.
We recommend using a bleed weapon here — Grayoll has a massive amount of health, and it takes well over ten minutes to defeat it without bleed.
2. Flame of the Fell God
📜 Dropped by Adan, Thief of Fire, in an evergaol in southern Liurnia.
You can find Adan in an evergaol just on top of the cliff that runs along the southwestern border.
3. Comet Azur
📜 Given by Primeval Sorcerer Azur at Mt. Gelmir.
Getting to this NPC involves a long walk around Volcano Manor. Just progress around the manor in the trench-like area that surrounds it until you arrive at the Primeval Sorcerer Azur site of grace. On the map, it will appear just east of the manor itself within the trench.
4. Stars of Ruin
📜 Received from Master Lusat in the Sellia Hideaway in Caelid.
To get to him, you must progress through Sellen’s questline until she gives you an item called Sellian Sealbreaker.
5. Elden Stars
📜 Located in Deeproot Depths.
To access the Deeproot Depths, enter a coffin after the Valiant Gargoyles boss fight. Then, once you’ve made it to the Depths, you’ll find Elden Stars on a corpse lying on a ledge. To get to it, simply progress through a small cave filled with ants until you come out on the other side.
6. Founding Rain of Stars
📜 Located in the Heretical Rise in Mountaintops of the Giants.
The rise is found near the eastern end of the stream that runs through the area, right before the frozen lake. Once you can see the rise, there is one additional challenge. The bridge that leads up to it is invisible, so you’ll have to use either light mist or items like rainbow stones or arrows to navigate it.
7. Ranni’s Dark Moon
📜 Located in Chelona’s Rise at the Moonlight Altar area.
This spell is located at the furthest southwest point of the area. To get here, you’ll have to progress through Ranni’s questline to its end point (after killing Astel). Once you get to Chelona’s Rise (right by the Altar South site of grace), you’ll have to complete a puzzle that requires you to kill ghost turtles around the area.
After doing this, you will have access to the rise and the last spell for the achievement.
All Legendary Talismans
This is another “all legendary…” achievement. It requires the collection of each legendary talisman in the game. There are eight of these:
1. Radagon Icon
🏺 Located in Raya Lucaria Academy.
This talisman can be found on the second floor of the building housing the Debate Parlor site of grace. You’ll have to go outside, jump over a fence, and climb a nearby ladder to get up to the second floor, where you’ll easily find the talisman.
2. Radagon’s Soreseal
🏺 Located in Fort Faroth in Caelid.
Once inside the fort, run past all the bats and other enemies to the ladder in the back. Up top, ignore the enemies there and drop through the last hole in the roof toward the back. From there, progress forward and jump to the other side from where you are. There are a few rats to run past, but the talisman is right down a ladder.
3. Godfrey Icon
🏺 Dropped by Godefroy the Grafted.
You can find Godefroy in an evergaol just southeast of where the Grand Lift of Dectus takes you.
4. Moon of Nokstella
🏺 Located in Nokstella, Eternal City.
This talisman is in a chest in the building at the furthest northwestern point of Nokstella.
5. Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
🏺 Located in Miquella’s Haligtree.
Start at the Drainage Channel site of grace and go outside to begin making your way to this talisman. Navigate across the tree branches and support beams until you reach a rooftop with a hole in it. Drop through the hole, and you’ll see a chest guarded by Pests. The talisman is right in the chest.
6. Marika’s Soreseal
🏺 Located in Miquella’s Haligtree.
Start at the Prayer Room site of grace and look for an Erdtree Avatar on a bridge. This talisman is located inside a room that requires a Stonesword Key to enter, and the entrance is on the ground below the bridge.
7. Old Lord’s Talisman
🏺 Located in Crumbling Farum Azula.
To get to this talisman, start at the Beside the Great Bridge site of grace. Go to the north side of the bridge and find a ladder that goes down to a small little building just away from the main area. The talisman will be inside a chest in that building.
NOTE: If you’ve already killed Rykard when you go here, you’ll be invaded by Knight Bernahl. Killing him will reward you with the Devourer’s Scepter (which is one of the legendary armaments you need).
8. Erdtree’s Favor +2
🏺 Located in Leyndell, Ashen Capital.
Start at the Forbidden Lands site of grace and go up the elevator right behind the grace. Then proceed across the bridge and down another elevator (the path is quite linear here). After the second elevator, you’ll be near a balcony overlooking what appears to be a lake of ash. Toward the back of this area, the talisman is resting on a tree branch. Be careful, though, because several Ulcerated Tree Spirits guard the area.
All Legendary Spirit Ashes
Only one more “all legendary…” achievement to go. This one requires you to collect each of the legendary spirit ashes. There are only six, so it shouldn’t take too long.
1. Lhutel the Headless
🔎 Dropped by the Cemetery Shade in the Tombsward Catacombs.
These catacombs are located in the Weeping Peninsula, just northwest of the Minor Erdtree. This is a very easy boss, so don’t sweat it too much.
2. Black Knife Tiche
🔎 Dropped by Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader.
Alecto is located in an evergaol in the northwest part of the Moonlight Altar area. To get to this area, you’ll have to have defeated Astel in the underground.
3. Redmane Knight Ogha
🔎 Dropped by a Putrid Tree Spirit in the War-Dead Catacombs in Caelid.
You’ll have to defeat Radahn to enter the catacombs. Then go up to the northern part of the Radahn boss arena and look alongside the cliffside for the entrance.
4. Mimic Tear
🔎 Located in the Night’s Sacred Ground.
Starting from the Ancestral Woods site of grace, progress through the area normally until you reach a room with a sealed room requiring a Stonesword Key. The Mimic Tear spirit ashes are in a chest in this room.
5. Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff
🔎 Dropped by the Ancient Hero of Zamor, located inside the Sainted Hero’s Grave.
This location is found at the Atlus Plateau on the elevated area just north of the path to the capital near the Grand Lift of Dectus.
6. Cleanrot Knight Finlay
🔎 Located in Miquella’s Haligtree.
Start at the Prayer Room site of grace and progress down the stairs until you see a broken guardrail on a balcony. Jump down onto the support beam beneath the balcony and to the small gazebo beside it. Go through the doorway to the left of the gazebo, and you’ll find the ashes in a chest guarded by a Cleanrot Knight.
Other Hard Achievements
There are several other difficult achievements in Elden Ring, but these mostly fall into one of two categories — boss fights or endings. For boss fights, we recommend checking out our boss guides to see if it’s a boss we’ve covered.
For endings, there is an achievement for the standard ending, Ranni’s ending, and the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending. Each of the different endings each require different questlines to be finished or decisions to be made.
