After many years of development and a several months-long delay, Elden Ring is finally here! And boy, is it sure worth the wait. FromSoftware’s latest title is everything we hoped for in a Souls-like game and more. It takes the RPG elements to a new tier with more ways to level and upgrade your character.
One such method of progression is through the use of Golden Seeds. These incredibly rare items are super valuable, and all adventurers should stock up on them to make the most of their playthrough. But just what exactly are they? What purpose do they serve? How can you find them in the vast, open world of the game?
We’ll be answering those questions and more in today’s guide — Elden Ring: What Are Golden Seeds?
Let’s get right into it!
What Are Golden Seeds?
Golden Seeds are a one-time consumable item that you can collect out in the open world. Once you consume them, the number of Cerulean Tear and Crimson Tear flasks you can use is increased! These flasks — or potions, as they would be called in other games — are consumable items that can restore your lost health and focus points in a fight.
As you can imagine, using flasks is incredibly important when tracking through dangerous dungeons and battling powerful adversaries. The Souls games aren’t exactly known for being easy, so you’re going to need as much help as you can get.
Upon gathering a seed, all you need to do is open up your inventory and consume it like you would any other item, and your flask capacity will be automatically increased! You can restore lost flasks by visiting Sites of Grace, such as the one shown in the image above.
Where Can I Find Them?
There are several different ways to gather Golden Seeds in Elden Ring. For starters, the easiest way to find one is to pick a Golden Seed as a keepsake when creating your character. Doing this will give you one to consume right after you spawn into the game.
If you’ve already made your character, there are several places you can find them out in the open world. Players can find small trees with branches that appear to be made of transparent gold throughout the Lands Between. Once you find one, you can simply walk up to it and interact with it to collect one seed.
