The 8 Best Astrologer Armor Sets in Elden Ring

One of the coolest starting classes in Elden Ring is none other than the Astrologer, the “mage” class of Elden Ring. You’ll begin the game with a set of hooded robes that befit your profession, but they won’t keep you safe for long in The Lands Between. You’ll need upgrades, so we’ll be going over the 8 best Astrologer Armor sets in Elden Ring!

The following armor sets are ranked good to best.

8. Sage Set

The Sage Set is a dark red set of mage robes that remind me a lot of the Crimson Set from the first Dark Souls game. It’s a pretty simple-looking set of gear, but it still looks great and provides decent defense.

The physical damage negation is 11.9. It’s magic and holy resistance are at a higher 23.9. And its lightning damage negation is at 23. Finally, it has a fire damage reduction of 22.4 points.

The Sage Set can be obtained by going to the region Liurnia of The Lakes. Once you’re there, go to the Still Water cave. This is in the area just after you unlock the region and enter it for the first time.

7. Spellblade Set

The Spellblade Set is a really fanciful set of robes that look like something you’d see at a medieval fair.

This set of gear provides its users with 8.9 points of physical damage negation. It will also reduce magic damage by 25.11 points, holy damage by 25.1 points, lightning by 23.5 points, and fire damage by 22.6 points.

While the physical damage negation is a little low, it’s still a pretty decent set of armor that looks nice and goes with just about any magic build.

To get this armor, you will first need to go to Stormveil Castle and find the NPC Sorcerer Rogier. Once you find him and talk to him, go and defeat the boss Godrick. Once that’s done, he will appear in the Roundtable Hold, where you can talk to him and then do his quest.

6. Snow Witch Set

The Snow Witch set is a really sick-looking set of robes that is worn by none other than Ranni The Witch. This is a very beautiful set of flowing white robes that’s perfectly fitting if you’re doing a frost mage playthrough.

This set of armor gives users 10.1 points of physical damage. It will also net you 23.4 points for magic, fire, and holy resistance, as well as 23.2 points for lightning resistance. In addition to its defensive stats, wearing the hat of this set will give you a +10% buff to frost-based spells.

The only way to obtain this set is to do Ranni’s Questline. Once you complete it up to the point where you unlock the top floor of Renna’s Rise, go up the stairs to the top of the tower. You can find the completed set sitting inside of a chest located in the top room.

5. Carian Knight Set

The Carian Knight Set is the perfect suit of Astrologer armor if you’re planning on doing a battle mage build in Elden Ring. This is a beautiful suit of armor that features loads of intricate, finely crafted details befitting a knight.

The armor provides its users with a solid 23.5 points for physical defense, fire resistance, and holy resistance. It also provides 24.5 points of resistance to magic attacks. Overall, this is a really great and versatile suit of armor.

If you want to find this suit, you’re going to need to go to Raya Lucaria Academy. There is a graveyard located around the center of this location. You can find this armor sitting in front of one of the tombstones there, where it’ll be heavily guarded by a horde of glintstone husks.

4. Azur’s Glintstone Set

Azur’s Glintstone Set is a really pretty-looking set of robes/armor that are partially made out of beautiful gems. The armor is pretty light on its physical defense, but it’s still higher than the Snow Witch set.

It provides 13.6 points of physical damage negation. It also features 29.2 points of magic resistance, 26.5 points of holy resistance, 25.2 points of lightning resistance, and 24.6 points of fire resistance. As such, this armor is definitely one of the better suits in the game.

If you are interested in getting this armor, you will first need to find Sorceress Sellen and start her quest. Once you progress far enough into the quest line, you will have to choose between siding with her or siding with Witch-Hunter Jerren. Choose to assist Sellen in defeating Jerren. Once you do so, you will be able to head to where you found Primeval Sorcerer Azur to collect his armor.

3. Alberich’s Set

The Alberiach’s Set is my favorite set of Astrologer armor in Elden Ring if we’re going off just looks. This is a visually stunning set of robes that features a darker color scheme than some of the other sets, featuring a lot of red and black/gray. The set even comes with a pointed hat, making this the perfect getup for a warlock-themed build.

The set provides 10.9 physical damage negation, as well as 25.3 points of resistance against magic and holy attacks, in addition to 24.6 points of lightning and 23.6 points of fire resistance. Another great benefit of this armor is that it will buff the damage/effectiveness of your Aberrant spells.

This set can only be obtained if you go to the Royal Capital city. Once you are there, you’ll need to find the fortified manor. You can acquire this armor by going into the main hall, which is on the first story of the building.

2. Blackflame Monk Set

The Blackflame Monk Sets are a really cool-looking set of armor that features a hooded set of robes with animal furs wrapped around the neck. This set of gear provides some of the highest levels of physical resistance out of any of the other armor sets on this list.

Its physical damage resistance is 26.1. The Blackflame Monk set also has 25.4 points of fire resistance, as well as 19.8 points of damage negation for magic and holy-based attacks. Additionally, it also has 15.6 points of lightning resistance.

If you want to get this set of armor, the only way to do so is by farming Blackflame Monks. These enemies have a small chance of dropping one of the four pieces of armor every time you kill them. You can expect to kill quite a lot of them if you want to get a full set.

I recommend that you find and equip the Silver Scarab talisman before you begin farming. This will increase your discovery rate, which in turn increases your chances of an enemy dropping an item upon being killed.

1. Lusat’s Set

Finally, we have none other than Lusat’s Set. It is arguably the BEST set of Astrologer armor (or any magic user really) in Elden Ring! This set of armor features ragged and dirty robes, as well as a giant blue orb made out of glintstone that can be equipped onto your head. If you’re familiar with previous FromSoftware games… You’ll know how much they love their wacky-looking sets. And this is a perfect example of that.

The armor provides a total of 15 points of physical damage negation, as well as 29 points of magic resistance, 26.1 points of holy resistance, 25.7 points of lightning resistance, and 24.6 points of fire resistance.

If you want to acquire this set of armor, you will need to first need to complete the quest line for the NPC called Sorceress Sellen. Once you get to the end, be sure to assist her in the fight against the witch hunter. After you help Sellen, you can find this armor set at Sellia Hideaway. Find where the NPC Master Lusat used to be.
