Warzone 2 is finally here, and we’re quickly seeing the meta for Season 1 take form. Each weapon class naturally has a gun that’s climbing its way to the top rank. While it’s only a matter of time before the current best weapons get dethroned by a patch, many players are still wondering: What is the best marksman rifle in Warzone 2?

There are only six marksman rifles in the game so far. Today, we’re taking a look at the best marksman rifles in Warzone 2, covering their best attachments and unlock requirements as well.

Top 3 Best Marksman Rifles in Warzone 2

Marksman rifles combine the assault and sniper rifles together to create a slow-firing but hard-hitting steamroller. They offer a highly versatile range and strong mobility that doesn’t require you to give up any firepower or engagement speed, so it’s no surprise that they continue to dominate in Warzone 2.

We’ll be looking specifically at the options that work best for Warzone 2’s new Al Mazrah map. Al Mazrah offers many rooftop perches and diverse vantage points that the marksman rifle’s reliable range and accuracy are perfectly suited for. Furthermore, the map’s new mechanics push players out of spaces faster, forcing them to explore beyond the sniper’s perspective. Marksman rifles adapt to these changes beautifully with their superior mobility and ADS speed, helping them excel in the new map.

The SP-R 208 is by far the best marksman rifle in Warzone 2, and one of the overall best weapons in the game right now. It’s crazy accurate and boasts fantastic handling. If you’re wanting to dominate the Season 1 meta, then you will definitely want to equip this devastating powerhouse.

Its excellent recoil control, accuracy, and damage make it an extremely deadly long-range contender, and great for beginners who need an easy-to-use weapon with solid base stats all-around. It can easily be used as a more mobile sniper rifle, and can hold its own in a close-range shoot-out.

All you need to do to unlock it is reach Level 7!

Best Loadout for SP-R 208

Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
Barrel: 23.5” Fluted R-67
Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
Optic: SP-X 80 6.6x
Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity

Although this powerful loadout requires attachments from several different guns, these attachments are definitely worth the grind. This build takes the SP-R 208’s long-range capabilities to an entirely new level.

The ZLR Talon 5 gives essential boosts to your bullet velocity and damage range. The 23.5” Fluted R-67 adds on even more bullet velocity and damage range, and buffs your movement speed. The FSS OLE-V Laser is crucial for long-range engagements because it improves your aim stability and ADS speed.

The SP-X 80 6.6x is a reliable optic that gives you two zoom levels, which comes in handy when you need more precision to land the kill. Lastly, equip the 7.62 High Velocity Ammunition so that you can have even more bullet velocity. This build gives you an enormous amount of stopping power, and even more range to deliver it from.

Lockwood MK2

This classic lever-action rifle can one-shot the competition if you know how to use it right.

The time-to-kill power that this marksmen rifle has puts most sniper rifles to shame. Although it may not boast as much damage as SP-R 208, it is definitely faster.

It can quickly and easily eliminate the competition in mid-range gunfights. Its excellent mobility, great recoil control, and decent fire-rate makes it a very ideal weapon for aggressive players who want to deal heavy damage, and get out quickly.

Optic: SZ Bullseye
Stock: Lockwood Bullseye

This loadout makes the Lockwood MK2 more of a long-range contender by increasing its damage range and bullet velocity. Thankfully, this build mostly keeps the Lockwood’s excellent mobility.

The FTAC Dreadnought muzzle gives you more stealth by keeping you off of the minimap while firing. It also boosts bullet velocity and helps a bit with recoil control. The 25” Buffalo Barrel improves your damage range, movement speed, and bullet speed.

The SZ Bullseye optic makes long-range shots much more precise with its 6x magnification. The Accu-Shot 5MW laser provides you with more ADS speed, aiming stability, and sprint-to-fire speed so that you can better compete with faster ARs or SMGs. Lastly, the Lockwood Bullseye stock brings the loadout together by adding more aim-down-sight speed, sprint speed, and crouch movement speed.

EBR-14

If you’re looking for a balanced marksman rifle that can pack a huge punch from a distance, then look no further.

Although this marksman rifle isn’t as popular as its aforementioned competition, many streamers have unleashed its scary full-potential. The EBR-14 is easily one of the best weapons in Warzone 2 right now when it has the right attachments.

It combines a solid fire rate with long-range lethality to create a disgustingly powerful steamroller. It has incredible time-to-kill potential, however its high recoil does make it difficult to use. Equip its best attachments, and you will be shocked with how powerful it actually is.

Best of all, this underrated rifle is ready to use right away!

Best Loadout for EBR-14

Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
Barrel: 22” Boremaster Barrel
Underbarrel: Phase-3 Grip
Optic: Schlager 3.4x
Ammunition: 20 Round Magazine

This build, which was inspired by Call of Duty YouTube streamer ‘FaZe Booya,’ mainly focuses on improving the EBR-14’s recoil control and damage range; however, it boosts a little bit of everything to give you even more balance.

The ZLR Talon 5 and 22” Boremaster Barrel maximize the EBR-14’s three-shot kill potential. They give significant buffs to your damage range, recoil control, and bullet velocity. The Phase-3 Grip provides you with even more recoil control, and increases your stability.

The 20 Round magazine is a must if you want to waste less time reloading, and the Schlager 3.4 optic works seamlessly with the rest of the gun’s attachments. The AIM OP-V4 optic is also an excellent choice for mid-and long-range fights.
