Another season, another round of new guns join the roster in Modern Warfare 3. The standout this season is the STG44. This hard-hitting rifle dominates medium and long-range engagements and is incredibly useful in Warzone. If you’ve been wondering how to run the STG44, then look no further. In this guide, I’ll be going over the best loadouts for the STG44 in MW3 and Warzone 2.0.
Warzone Loadout
Our first loadout will focus on how to build the STG44 for the large maps of Warzone and what to run with it.
Attachments
- Muzzle: Cronen OP44
- Barrel: Heinrichter C70 Long Barrel
- Optic: JAK Glassless Optic
- Stock: DR79 Combo Stock
- Magazine: 50 Round Drum
For this setup, we choose the Cronen OP44 and the DR79 Combo Stock to help with recoil and gun control. The Cronen will eliminate any vertical and horizontal recoil making sure your bullets land where you want them to. That, combined with the Combo Stock makes it so the STG44 barely jumps at all.
Next, we choose the C70 Long Barrel to give us increased bullet velocity and range. This will help turn the rifle closer into a hit scan weapon making our shots even more accurate. We take a small hit to hip fire accuracy and control, but this weapon shines in medium to long-range combat so we won’t need to hip fire too often.
Finally, we grab the JAK Glassless Optic, since it’s one of the best, unobtrusive optics in the game, and the 50-Round Drum so we spend more time shooting and less time reloading.
Equipment
- Tactical: Smoke Grenade
- Lethal: Semtex
For this loadout, we take a smoke grenade with us into the warzone for any situations where we need to reposition or revive a teammate without getting hit. We take the Semtex as our lethal equipment to help flush enemies out of cover to make them easy pickings.
Perks
- Perk Slot 1: Sleight of Hand
- Perk Slot 2: Double Time
- Perk Slot 3: Quick Fix
- Perk Slot 4: Ghost
Our perk choices are pretty standard for Warzone and will help us survive and win gunfights as needed. Sleight of Hand makes sure that when we do reload, we can do so quickly to get the edge on our opponent. Double Time will help us when we’re under fire or need to get out of the open quickly. Quick Fix will ensure we’re healthy during a gunfight, and we’ll be ready to push when we’ve got our opponents on their back foot. Ghost will keep us invisible from UAVs and radars which are common in Warzone.
Secondary
Since this STG44 build will primarily be used for long-range engagements, pairing this with a powerful SMG like the Horus is the best way to go. Especially because of its slow rate of fire, having a faster weapon for close quarters will help a lot.
MW3 Loadout
Our second loadout will focus on how to run the STG44 on the smaller MW3 maps. Lucky for us, our build of the gun doesn’t change too much.
Attachments
- Muzzle: Cronen OP44
- Barrel: Factory Short Barrel
- Optic: JAK Glassless Optic
- Stock: DR79 Combo Stock
- Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
Just like before we grab the Cronen OP44, Jak Glassless Optic, and the DR79 Combot Stock for the same reasons. We get excellent recoil control and a nice scope that doesn’t block our view.
Instead of the C70 Long Barrel, we grab the Factory Short Barrel this time around. This is because of the Short Barrels sprint to fire speed and aim down sight speed. This will be infinitely more useful in the more confined MW3 maps than bullet velocity and range. We also swap out our drum magazine for the DR-6 Handstop. This underbarrel will, like the Short Barrel, give us a bunch of mobility that will be helpful in the smaller maps.
Equipment
- Tactical: Flash Grenade
- Lethal: Frag Grenade
We take the Flash Grenade to stun enemies when we want to make a push. We grab the frag grenade to help us clear rooms or soften targets before we go in for the kill.
Perks
- Vest: Ninja Vest
- Gloves: Commando Gloves
- Boots: Running Sneakers
- Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
Our gear perks are all centered around a run-and-gun playstyle. Ninja Vest will keep us quiet while running around, while the Ghost T/V Camo will keep us invisible on radars.
The Running Sneakers will keep our TacSprint up while also improving our sprint-to-fire speed. Finally, we grab the Commando Gloves so we can reload while sprinting so we won’t be caught with no ammo in our gun.
