Loadouts are an essential part of Warzone. They allow you to get the perfect weapons, perks, and equipment that’ll help you win much easier than otherwise. In this article I’ll take a look at three different loadouts that will help carry you to victory. But you don’t just get loadouts for free. Before we get into the best loadouts for Warzone, let’s take a quick look at how to get those loadouts in the first place!
How to Get Loadouts in Warzone
In standard Battle Royale, you have two ways to acquire your loadouts in Warzone. The first (and easiest) is to find a Loadout Drop. These drop randomly on the map and can be looted for your entire loadout. You can see the icon indicating a loadout drop in the upper right hand side of the image above (it’s a blue box with a weapon symbol inside of it). You can also go to any Buy Station and purchase your loadout with cash (the in-game kind–they haven’t gone that far yet). Obviously a Loadout Drop is the best way to get loadouts since it’s free, but beware, because these drops will attract a lot of players. If you’re not ready for a shootout, you might end up in the Gulag.
In Resurgence, you can also find your loadout weapons in some supply caches. It’s random, of course, but whenever you see one it’s always worth checking to see if you get lucky.
Sniper (LR 7.62 + Jackal PDW)

- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel or Long Barrel
- Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
- Stock: Balanced Stock
- Fire Mods: 7.62 NATO Overpressured
Secondary Weapon: Jackal PDW
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag II
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
Tactical and Lethal: Neurogas or Stim Shot / Spring Mine or Blast Trap
Perks: Veteran / Cold-Blooded / Alertness
Wildcard: Overkill
Sniping is always effective in battle royale games, and Warzone is no different. The LR 7.62 is the best sniper right now for general use, especially on larger maps. You probably won’t be doing a lot of quick-scoping with it, but you’ll be able to pick off distant players with ease. I’d say the most important attachment slot for snipers is the barrel, and you can go with either Reinforced or Long Barrel. Both give damage range, but Reinforced also gives Bullet Velocity while Long Barrel gives a bit more range. Taking the Overkill wildcard is a must here so you can have a second primary weapon for closer fights. The Jackal PDW is my favorite weapon for close-range fights right now, so it’s an easy pick. It has a really fast TTK, and it’s easy to use thanks to relatively low recoil.
For your tactical and lethal, I prefer ones that allow you to lock down control over an area or building so you can snipe more effectively. Then just take some perks which also help with that, like Cold-Blooded to keep you more hidden and Alertness to help you win against enemy snipers. Veteran is also a great perk for snipers since it increases your Hold Breath duration, as well as reducing how much you flinch when shot. You could make a case for Dexterity over it since it helps with close-range fights, but I definitely prefer Veteran.
XM4 w/ Gunfighter Wildcard
Recommended Attachments:
- Optic: Willis 3x (or another 2x or 3x of your choice)
- Muzzle: Suppressor or Compensator
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag III
- Rear Grip: Commando Grip
- Stock: Balanced Stock
- Fire Mods: 5.56 NATO Overpressured
Secondary Weapon: 9mm PM
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Magazine: Extended Mag II
- Rear Grip: Commando Grip
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
Tactical and Lethal: Stim Shot / Semtex
Perks: Dexterity / Quick Fix / Ghost
Wildcard: Gunfighter
The XM4 is my favorite assault rifle right now by far. It can do a little of everything, from long- to close-range fights. This build utilizes the Gunfighter wildcard to allow up to 8 attachments on the XM4, which gives you one of the best possible weapons in the game. The XM4 has pretty low base recoil and respectable damage, so you aren’t forced in any one direction with the attachments. A Suppressor is great because you don’t have to rely on the Compensator, but you can use it if you want just a little less recoil. Reinforced Barrel is a go-to on most assault rifles since it gives both damage range and bullet velocity, and the 5.56 NATO fire mod also boosts the velocity even more. (I don’t feel like Recoil Springs are necessary, and Rapid Fire has too many drawbacks.)
For the secondary weapon, I just go with the 9mm pistol since it’s the best all-around secondary right now. You can switch that up if you prefer another one, though. I really like Stim Shot as the tactical on this loadout since it excels in 1-on-1 fights, which is the best situation for this kind of weapon. Semtex is also my favorite grenade since you don’t have to worry about it bouncing back and killing you by accident (which happens to me more than it should at this point). In terms of perks, I love Dexterity for better mobility, and Quick Fix makes clearing out teams easier since you’ll regenerate health faster. Ghost is decent since it keeps you off the map to some degree, but you could switch it for another if you want.
XMG w/ Team Support
Recommended Attachments:
- Optic: Willis 3x (or another 2x or 3x of your choice)
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Long Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Rear Grip: Commando Grip
Secondary Weapon: Sirin 9mm
- Optic: Whichever you prefer
- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Barrel: Long Barrel
- Underbarrel: Lightweight Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag I
Tactical and Lethal: Stim Shot / Semtex
Perks: Survivor / Sprinter / Birdseye
Wildcard: Battle Ready
The XMG is the strongest LMG in Warzone in my opinion, offering a solid balance of ranged damage, a huge mag, and incredible stopping power. In the mid-to-longer range zone, the XMG is nearly unstoppable. It does have a lot of recoil, though, but a Compensator and Vertical Foregrip help a lot with this. You could also opt for Recoil Springs or maybe even a Target Laser if you wanted instead of the grip or barrel. It’s a great weapon for backing up your team or even clearing out enemy ones. I like the Sirin 9mm as a secondary here since the XMG is a bit too slow for close-range, quick fights. Having an SMG-like weapon as your secondary without having to use the Overkill wildcard is just too good to pass up.
What makes this loadout so good for overall team support is the Battle Ready wildcard, which gives you a UAV and Utility Box. UAVs allow you to scan an area and see where (most) enemies are, and the Utility Box lets you and your team refill ammo and equipment. This alone is a great start, as it’ll be good at any point of the game. The Birdseye perk is particularly good with this wildcard, as it improves the AOE of your UAVs and improves them. Then you also have the Survivor perk which allows your team to revive you quicker on top of faster health regeneration. I really like this loadout for games where your team already has a sniper or heavy assault player, so you’ll be able to get a lot of mileage out of everything it has to offer.
