Best RAM-9 Loadout in MW3 & Warzone

The RAM-9 is the newest gun to join the SMG family in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone 2.0. A lightweight and more mobile version of the RAM-7, the RAM-9 offers a low-recoil and fast-firing solution to close-quarters engagements. If you’ve been wondering what attachments to add to the RAM-9 and how to fit it into a loadout, then have no fear. In this guide, we’ll be going over the best loadouts for the RAM-9 in MW3 and Warzone 2.0.

Warzone Loadout

Our first loadout will focus on how to run the RAM-9 when dropping into Warzone. Lucky for us this is incredibly easy since the RAM-9 is one of the best, if not the best, SMG in the game right now.

Attachments

Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider
Barrel: Speedway V5 Short Barrel
Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
Magazine: 50 Round Mag
Sight: AIM OP-V4

For this setup, we chose the ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider and Speedway V5 Short Barrel to help control our recoil. We put the DR-6 Handstop for our underbarrel to keep the weapon light and maneuverable to keep the edge in close-range combat.

Finally, we grab the 50-round MAG so we spend less time reloading and more time shooting, and put the AIM-OP V4 for a nice clean sight for medium-range engagements.

Equipment

Tactical: Smoke Grenade
Lethal: Semtex

For this loadout, I bring a smoke grenade for when I need to reposition or revive teammates while in the open. For our lethal, we take the semtex to help flush enemies out of cover.

Perks

Perk Slot 1: Double Time
Perk Slot 2: Sleight of Hand
Perk Slot 3: Quick Fix
Perk Slot 4: Ghost

For our first perk, we grab Double Time to help us get in and out of combat quickly, which pairs well with the RAM-9. We take Sleight of Hand for quick reloads in the middle of combat. Even with our large mag, eventually, we’ll need to reload. Quick Fix will help us heal faster to help us survive or redouble attacks when pushing an enemy team. Ghost is to keep us from showing up on enemy radars so we don’t get ambushed.

With Overkill no longer a perk, we can grab any secondary we want without sacrificing a perk slot. My recommendation would be to grab a long-range secondary to balance out the RAM-9’s mid-range superiority, like a sniper or marksman rifle.

MW3 Loadout

Our second loadout will focus on running the RAM-9 on MW3 maps which are significantly smaller than the sprawling Warzone maps. Funny enough, our build doesn’t change too much except for a couple of attachments.

Attachment

Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor S
Barrel: Speedway V5 Short Barrel
Laser: 1MW Laser Box
Comb: Recon Comb
Optic: Cronen Mini Pro

For this setup, we put on the Sonic Suppressor to keep us hidden on the smaller MW3 maps. We keep the Speedway V5 for recoil control and grab the 1MW Laser Box and Recon Comb to give us a better response in close quarters. Finally, we grab the Cronen Mini Pro for a clean sight.

Equipment

Tactical: Flash Grenade
Lethal: Frag Grenade

For this loadout, we take the Flash Grenade to stun enemies we decide to push and a Frag Grenade for clearing rooms or softening targets.

Gear Perks

Vest: Infantry Vest
Gloves: Marksmen Gloves
Boots: Covert Sneakers
Gear: Ghost T/V Camo

For our gear perks, we grab the Infantry Vest to increase our TacSprint capabilities. The Marksmen Gloves reduce our ADS sway and flinch, improving our accuracy. The Covert Sneakers eliminate our footsteps and the Ghost Camo makes us invisible to UAV increasing our ability to go unseen.

Rampaging with the RAM-9 has never been more fun
