Marksman Rifles are high damage, slow-firing powerhouses that blend the assault rifle and the sniper rifle together. While sniper rifles tend to be the more popular choice in Warzone for their higher damage output and longer range, marksman rifles have better handling statistics, and are more useful in close-range fights. They also boast faster aim-down sight speed and movement speed, which is perfect if you want the deadly force of a sniper rifle, but more mobility. When put into the right hands, a marksman rifle is a lethal and faster alternative that will consistently melt the competition.
In this guide, we’ll be highlighting the top five best marksman rifles in Warzone Pacific Season 1. We’ll also lay out the best attachments and unlock requirements to help you on your way to becoming a master marksman. Let’s get started!
Best Marksman Rifles in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific
So what is the best marksman rifle in Warzone? There are ten marksman rifles in Warzone, and amongst them only a select few are strong enough to compete in Warzone’s new Caldera map. Below, we’ll be looking at the top five marksman rifles that are the most powerful this season.
1. Kar98k
Warzone’s most lethal marksman rifle
The Kar98k is a World War II bolt-action beast that has stayed at the top of its class.
Why is it the best? While many consider the Kar98k a sniper rifle, it has the versatility of a marksman. It excels in close-range and long-range fights, and has outstanding accuracy and range. Its devastating damage output and its excellent mobility make it the best marksman rifle in Warzone.
It’s also one of the most popular weapons in Warzone because of its ease of use and well-rounded stats. Although it did recently receive a significant reduction to flinch resistance (with a decrease of 62%), this nerf hasn’t toppled its throne. It was at the top in Seasons 3–6, and it remains at the top in Warzone Pacific Season 1.
What are its best attachments? This loadout focuses on making the Kar98k an even more accurate, long-range heavy hitter. The Monolithic Suppressor increases the rifle’s range, and provides you with the sound suppression you’ll need to hide from your enemies. The Singuard Custom 27.6” boosts the rifle’s damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control, while the Tac Laser improves your aim down sight speed, aiming stability, and aim walking steadiness.
The Sniper Scope enables you to take out your enemies from long distances, and pairs nicely with your other attachments that increase aim down sight speed. Lastly, the FTAC Sport Comb makes your ADS speed even faster, which will max out the Kar98k’s speed. This is the perfect build for a fast-paced, aggressive playstyle, and should be paired with a strong SMG that excels more in close-quarter combat.
How do I get it? All you have to do is get to Level 33 — that’s it!
2. SP-R 208
Warzone’s most adaptable marksman rifle
The SP-R 208 is a deadly .300 Win bolt action rifle that you can depend on.
Why is it one of the best? The SP-R 208 combines frightening damage output with exceptional range and mobility. It’s also one of the most accurate weapons in its class. Its low bullet drop and little to no damage drop-off makes headshots a breeze.
It’s reliable and devastating in mid-range and long-range fights, and has exceptional ADS speed. Its wide range of customization options also make it extremely versatile, powerful, and really fun to experiment with. For those who enjoy using the Kar98k, the SP-R 208 does not fall far behind it.
What are its best attachments? Although there are many different kinds of loadouts that you can try with the SP-R 208, this one prioritizes damage range, output, and accuracy. The Monolithic Suppressor boosts damage range and helps hide you from your enemies with sound suppression. The SP-R 26” improves damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control.
The Tac Laser helps make up for the mobility that the previous attachments took away. It provides you with ADS speed, aiming stability, and aim walking steadiness. The Solozero SP-R 28mm makes it easier for you to take out your enemies in long-distance fights. However, if you prefer close and mid-range engagements, go with the G.I Mini Reflex. Lastly, the .338 Lapua Mag 5-R Mags increases your damage output from all ranges.
How do I get it? You’ll need to get two longshot kills that are headshots in five different matches with a Sniper or Marksman rifle. Respawn modes like Plunder will give you more opportunities to achieve your objective.
3. M1 Garand
Warzone’s best Vanguard marksman rifle
The M1 Garand is a classic World War II rifle that puts up a game-winning fight.
Why is it one of the best? Although Vanguard’s new marksman rifle can’t quite compete with its Modern Warfare competitors, it can definitely hold its own in Caldera’s meta. It has excellent damage output, accuracy, damage range, and stopping power. It is capable of breaking armor plates, and downing enemies with less than five shots.
Its ten attachment slots give players plenty of room to experiment with different kinds of loadouts. Although its strength is in its versatility, it falls behind the SP-R 208 because of its high recoil. Even with the best attachments, its recoil is too rough to ignore, and requires much more skill to handle. Nevertheless, the M1 Garand is still a very strong pick for wiping out enemy teams in long-distance engagements.
What are its best attachments? There are so many different kinds of loadouts that you can try out with this rifle, however the one that is the most useful in Caldera aims at fixing its high recoil, increasing its accuracy, and making it more effective at medium and close range. The MX Silencer provides sound suppression, and a boost to accuracy. The Cooper 25” Custom and the M1941 Hand Stop both improve your recoil, and accuracy.
The M19 4.0x Flip also boosts your accuracy and recoil control, and helps the rifle excel more at medium and close range. The .30-06 16 Round Mags give you more ammunition, and won’t hurt your bullet velocity, range, or damage like the 20 Round Drums. Lengthened ammunition boosts your bullet velocity, while the Rubber Grip and the Cooper Adjustable improves your recoil even more.
Lastly, the Vital perk helps you deal more damage to the torso, and the Fully Loaded perk allows you to start out with maximum reserve ammo. Definitely play around with different perks to figure out which ones work best with your playstyle, though!
How do I get it? Get to Level 6 and this powerful new marksman rifle is all yours!
4. SVT-40
Warzone’s best headshot marksman rifle
The SVT-40 is a high-caliber semi-automatic powerhouse that decimates the competition from long distances.
Why is it one of the best? This new marksman rifle from Vanguard is a very strong long-range weapon in battle royale. It is especially good at headshots, and has excellent accuracy and damage output. It has solid range and mobility, but suffers from its low fire rate, and mobility.
Its ten attachment slots gives players more attachments to work with, and make it very flexible and fun to experiment with. Similar to the M1 Garand, it also suffers from high recoil, which makes it harder to control and more difficult to get shots off on enemies. However, if you can reign in the recoil on this marksman, then you’ll be melting your enemies from long distances in no time.
What are its best attachments? Like the M1 Garand, the SVT-40 won’t be at its best if its recoil isn’t fixed. It also needs its damage increased so that it can perform better against its competitors. This particular loadout focuses on improving recoil control, accuracy, and damage output.
The MX Silencer provides you with sound suppression, and increased accuracy. The Kovalevskaya 800mm B03 is crucial because it gives the rifle a larger one-hit kill area. It also improves your accuracy, and recoil control to make it way easier for you to land critical shots onto your enemies. The M1941 Hand Stop makes your recoil control and accuracy even better.
The FMJ rounds boost your damage output, while the Fabric Grip increases your ADS speed and sprint to fire speed. The Empress Crown enhances your aiming stability, and improves your recoil even more. The SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6X is an exceptional sight and makes the SVT-40 a strong long-range sniper.
The Vital perk increases your damage, and the Fully Loaded perk allows you to start with maximum reserve ammo. Finish this loadout with 7.62x54mmR 15 Round Mags, which give you enough ammunition to get the job done.
How do I get it? You will need to reach Level 27 to unlock this new marksman rifle.
5. MK2 Carbine
Warzone’s most underrated marksman rifle
Despite its low popularity, the MK2 Carbine is an extremely accurate lever action rifle can dominate with the right attachments on it (and skill) behind it.
Why is it one of the best? Although many believe the MK2 Carbine to be underwhelming and low in its class, don’t let them fool you. This marksman can be a long-range monster in battle royale. Its high accuracy makes it easy to take out opponents with only a few shots.
It has solid damage output and mobility, and can compete with sniper rifles and marksman rifles above it when given the right setting, skill, and opportunities. Although it may not be meta in Caldera at the moment, it beats out other rifles in its class and is definitely a contender.
What are its best attachments? This loadout takes the MK2 Carbine’s accuracy and range to the next level to make it a long-distance machine. The Monolithic Suppressor provides sound suppression and increased damage range. The FSS 24.0” Factory upgrades your damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control.
The Tac Laser increases your aim down sight speed, and aiming stability. The Cronen C480 Pro Optic is an excellent sight that will help you come out on top in long-distance fights. The Focus perk may seem a bit odd here, however the flinch resistance that it provides will help you stay locked onto your target if they are firing at you.
How do I get it? You can use this marksman rifle at Level 1!
