Blizzard has slowly been adding heritage armor sets for all of the races in World of Warcraft. The armor sets are account-wide cosmetic rewards that are unlocked by leveling a character from a given race to 50 from scratch. In patch 10.0.7, heritage armor was finally added for the orc and human races in WoW. Finally, some new unique content for the original Warcraft races!
Let us walk you through how to get the orc heritage armor in WoW. If you’re looking for the human variant, click here. For the other races, check out our more broad guide here.
Orc Heritage Armor & Toy Variants: Pictures
What does the orc heritage armor look like? First things first, we’re going to check that out below! Next up, we’ll be going over how exactly to obtain this orc heritage armor.
Click or tap to expand each image.
The set comes in three different color variants: black, red, and blue. Each color has nine pieces for head, shoulder, back, chest, wrist, hand, waist, legs, and feet.
Completing the quest chain also rewards the Clan Banner toy. There are six versions of this toy. The version you get will depend upon the clan you chose during the quest The Blessing of the Clan. You can change your clan and your banner by speaking with Envoy Korg in Razor Hill.
Requirements for Orc Heritage Armor
To start the quests for the orc heritage armor, you will need a level 50 orc character that has Exalted reputation with Orgrimmar.
The reputation requirement will be removed in patch 10.1, which is due to drop on May 2nd. But in the meantime, the fastest way to gain the required reputation is by wearing an Orgrimmar Tabard in dungeons.
How to Get Orc Heritage Armor: Quest Order
The quest chain will start automatically when you have met the requirements listed above. Go to Orgrimmar, and the first quest will pop up on your screen. If it doesn’t appear, you may need to type /reload or log out and then log back in.
There are 15 quests you’ll need to complete to receive your orc heritage armor in WoW. We’ll walk you through them all below!
1. A Summon to Orgrimmar
This first quest is simply a breadcrumb leading you to Eitrigg, who will give you the next quest. Eitrigg is located just inside Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar. If you abandon the breadcrumb quest, you’ll need to start with the quest that follows it by speaking with Eitrigg.
2. A People in Need of Healing
Eitrigg expresses his restlessness and asks you to meet him in Alterac Valley to discuss the future of the orcs with Drek’Thar. Follow him out of Grommash Hold, and he will tell you what he has in mind. Click the portal on the path in front of you. This will put you in a scenario called The Future of Our People.
There are five stages in the scenario. They should be fairly straightforward to complete. When you are finished, Thrall will give you a one-time Hearthstone to head back to Orgrimmar.
3. The Kosh’harg
Aggra asks you to head to Razor Hill in Durotar. As you walk out of the inn with her, you are joined by Durak and Rehze, her children. Some Wind Riders wait to carry you to Razor Hill. If you choose to take one, you will be treated to some extra dialog from Durak as you fly through Durotar together.
Arriving in Razor Hill, you’ll have a chance to observe the clans gathering for the Kosh’harg. Speak with Aggra again to pick up three new quests. Each of these quests is the start of a short chain.
4. The Blessing of the Land
Head north to Thunder Ridge and click on the large skeleton. The skeleton’s spirit will give you the next quest.
5. The Spirit of Thunder Ridge
Swim down through the area to collect eight Ancient Seeds. Each one you click will summon an elemental that you will need to defeat. When you have all eight seeds, head back to the skeleton to plant them. Then you can return to complete this very short chain.
6. The Blessing of the Clan
Enter Razor Hill Barracks, the largest building in town. Speak with each of the clan leaders to learn more about their clans. When you’ve made a decision, choose a clan to join. This choice will determine the design of the Clan Banner toy you will receive at the end of the quest chain. But don’t worry, you can always change your mind later!
7. The Long Knives
Head south and locate Kaltunk in the Valley of Trials, back where it all began in the orc starting zone!
8. Tracking a Killer
Walk around the area and speak with the orcs until you have found the five clues about Gor’krosh.
9. Cornering Gor’krosh
Follow the beast tracks marked on your map until you find Gor’krosh. The trail leads up into the hills on the coast. There you must click on the Raptor Nest to fight Gor’krosh.
Although you appear to be unarmored for this quest, you will still gain all the benefits of your equipment. Defeat the raptor and click on his blood to gather it.
10. The Blessing of the Ancestors
Find Cook Torka in Razor Hill. He will give you the next quest.
11. An Important Heirloom
For this quest, you will need to learn the Cooking profession if you haven’t yet. You can do so by speaking with Arugi, who is right next to Cook Torka. If you’ve already learned Cooking, this step will be completed automatically.
Next, go into the inn and click on the Old Cookbook in one of the sleeping nooks. Return the book, “Spoons and Forks,” to Cook Torka.
12. Orcish Groceries
Now click the cookbook in front of Cook Torka to read it. You will learn four new recipes. You can read the text if you’re interested in getting a taste of each clan’s lore.
Run around town and gather ingredients from vendors. You’ll also need to click on a crate and a couple of escaped crabs.
13. A Worthy Offering
Now that you have all the ingredients, it’s time to cook! Head over to the Cooking Table in front of Cook Torka, and a Classic Cooking button will appear. The four recipes you just learned will appear under the heading Orcish Cuisine.
When you have made the other dishes, you can turn them into a Feast for the Ancestors. Bring the feast to the altar just outside of town, and the spirits of several orc heroes will appear to speak with Durak.
14. Honor and Glory
Now enjoy the fruits of your labor! Eat and drink from the tables until your progress bar is full. Rowdy Grunts will attack you every now and then. The orcs will be chatting the whole time, and you can read their conversations in your chat box. When you’ve had your fill, speak with Boss Magor to start a brawl. Use Booterangs to stop the Bootstorm and win the fight.
Before you turn in the quest, you can talk to Thrall about Saurfang.
15. Aka’magosh
This final quest treats you to a cutscene, and then you’re done! Congratulations on receiving your orc heritage armor!
