How to Get the Brutal Medal in CoD: Mobile (2024)

In this article, we’ll tell you exactly how to get the brutal medal in CoD: Mobile as quickly as possible. Call of Duty changed the multiplayer game with the original release of Modern Warfare way back in 2007. Ranking systems, promotions, gear unlocks, and rewards added a new level to the game, allowing players to strive to be the best and compare their efforts to their friends and foes.

Perhaps the highest mark of a player’s prowess is the ability to stay alive while stacking kills. One of the most coveted medals in CoD: Mobile—the Brutal medal—requires a kill strike of 25 enemies downed without dying.

Check out High Ground’s top tips for filling that trophy case with Brutal medals.

Key #1: Choose the Right Game Modes

Savage Game Modes

Some game modes lend themselves to stringing together several kills in a row, while others are not only unsuitable for the Brutal medal but make it literally impossible to achieve. For example, no one is going to pull a Brutal medal out of a Search-And-Destroy match.

The best modes for piling on the pain create predictable travel paths and fixed conflict points, allowing aspiring brutalizers to anticipate enemy movement and develop strategies.

These are the modes where you can rack up a lot of kills.

Hardpoint

Perhaps the best game mode for aspiring brutalizers, Hardpoint focuses all the action into one capture point that rotates around the map. This means everybody will be concentrated in or heading towards the same area—making enemies more predictable and easy to find.

Domination

Domination is a good pick because it has the same crowded points and predictable paths as Hardpoint but without as much melee-range chaos. Domination is an excellent mode to post up with a sniper rifle and over watch one or more cap points, picking enemies off one by one.

Team Deathmatch

The all-time classic game mode of Team Deathmatch allows players to roam a bit, set up somewhere nice, and let their teammates draw enemies in while taking them unexpectedly.

Key #2: Put Those Scorestreaks to Work

All Scorestreaks help players dominate, but some are better than others. The best Scorestreaks to achieve the coveted Brutal medal are offensive in nature and keep the player safe while simultaneously mowing down enemy hoards.

It’s possible to achieve the Brutal medal without Scorestreaks—but they make it a lot easier. Offensively oriented streaks are the best as they do a lot of the work for players.

VTOL

The VTOL Scorestreak has the double advantage of being a super-effective way to rack up kills while also getting the player out of danger.

Other streaks like Stealth Chopper or Predator Missile leave the player on the ground and susceptible to enemies. VTOL puts the player in the sky, where nothing can touch them.

Sentry Gun

Especially efficacious on domination point modes, setting up a Sentry Gun with a good field of fire is invaluable. Try to choose areas with high traffic or overlooking the domination point. Back the Sentry Gun into a corner so that enemies can’t disable it without subjecting themselves to its high rate of fire.

Stealth Chopper

Unlike the VTOL, the Stealth Chopper leaves players in the action, but a well-placed Stealth Chopper can annihilate the enemy teams as long as it lasts. The Stealth Chopper is an excellent Scorestreak for snipers.

Key #3: The Right Perks are Critical

Vulture

Staying alive long enough to rack up 25 kills usually means ammunition will be at a premium. Eliminate this problem with Vulture—it drops ammunition on every kill, so running out won’t be a problem.

Fast Recover

This perk increases players’ health recovery rate by 35%—critical in those situations where multiple enemies are closing in. Think of it as increasing your survival rate by a full third.

Alert

Forewarned is forearmed, and knowing when and from where an enemy approaches is critical to getting the drop on them- or at least preventing them from surprising you. A little yellow cone flashes on the minimap when someone gets close- providing boosts to offensive and defensive benefits.

Key #4: Choose the Right Weapon Setup

There are plenty of weapons options in CoD: Mobile. Ultimately, the one you’re most proficient in will perform the best. But if what you’re using is not getting the job done, try some of our favorite setups for Brutal.

RUS-79U

MIP Light Barrel (Short), Holographic Sight 3, OWC Skeleton Stock, 50-Round Extended Mag

Being quick on the draw is important—most often, the guy who gets his gun up first wins. The RUS-79U has excellent mobility scores and an impressive 50-round magazine.

DL Q33

OWC Light Suppressor, 3x Tactical Scope C, OWC Skeleton Stock, OWC Laser-Tactical, Extended Mag A

Brutal Setup 2 DLQ33

Confident players might try the sniper approach. It can be tough to take on multiple enemies with a slow firing bolt-action, but its raw power can be tough to argue with. Thumping headshot after headshot might be a tough way to get up to 25 kills, but trying is a lot of fun.

Dingo

Red Cell Foregrip, Classic Red Dot Sight, Hollow Stock, Black Ops Mag, Black Ops Quickdraw Grip

The math is simple: large magazines plus crowds of enemies equals kill streaks, and there’s no better gun for the job than our official LMG S-tier selection

ICR-1

MIP Laser 5mW, 40-Round Extended Mag, Tactical Scope, YKM Combat Stock, Sleight of Hand

Brutal Setup ICR 1

One of the main benefits of Assault Rifles is their sheer utility. The ICR-1 is quick, light, and capable, and up to the task.
