One of the primary ways players can get new cards in Marvel Snap is from the in-game Token Shop. This shop allows players to spend Collector’s Tokens they’ve earned from missions and Collector’s Reserves on rare Series 4 and 5 cards.
Many of these Token Shop cards are highly sought-after for being some of the best in Marvel Snap. However, these cards can end up costing a lot of Tokens. As such, players will want to know which are the best cards to get from the Token Shop in Marvel Snap, so they can start saving up for them right away.
Best Cards to Get from the Token Shop in Marvel Snap
Let’s dive right into our list of the best cards to get from the Token Shop in Marvel Snap! We’ll work our way down to the best entry.
Galactus
Galactus can be a controversial Marvel Snap card, but this is all the more reason to take advantage of him when you can.
He is a 6-Cost/5-Power card with the On Reveal ability to destroy all locations, except the one he’s played at, if he’s the player’s only card there and they are winning the location. While Galactus isn’t as powerful as he used to be thanks to a series of nerfs, he is still quite good.
Galactus is often a surprise for unsuspecting players, ruining most plans as they’re forced to play for control of only one location instead of three. For that reason, Galactus is a solid pick-up for 6,000 Tokens.
Thanos
Thanos may seem like a decent enough card on its own, but the real utility of this card comes from the Infinity Stones it creates.
At the start of a match, having Thanos in your deck adds the six Infinity Stones as additional cards to your deck alongside Thanos. Not only are these cards individually useful, but can be used as the basis for additional combos.
While Thanos is a 6-Cost/10-Power card, each of the Infinity Stones only has a Cost of 1. Effects such as the Time Stone’s ability, which lets players draw a card and gain +1 energy next turn, or the Reality Stone, which allows them to draw a card and relocate the location it’s played at to a new one, can be game-changers.
Additionally, these 1-Cost cards can also be great fodder for cards like Carnage or Elsa Bloodstone, making Thanos a great 6,000 Token pick.
Iron Lad
Iron Lad is a very versatile card that can find a home in a variety of Marvel Snap deck archetypes.
It’s a 4-Cost/6-Power card with the On Reveal ability to copy the text of your deck’s top card. This ability has two distinct benefits: it lets you see what card you are going to draw next while and lets you gain its ability a turn early.
This can be perfect for taking advantage of a 5 or 6-Cost card’s ability sooner than usual or getting double the buff of another card. As a Series 5 card, Iron Lad costs 6,000 Tokens, but his flexibility makes it a worthwhile investment.
Nebula
In terms of 1-Cost cards in Marvel Snap, Nebula is arguably one of the best bang-for-your-buck cards in the game.
Nebula’s ability gives her +2 Power every turn your opponent doesn’t play a card at her location. Not only is this ability great for gaining a solid chunk of power at a cheap cost, it can be used to force opponents to play cards in predictable ways for you to capitalize on.
With this level of flexibility, Nebula is an easy choice to pick up from the Token Shop, even if she costs 6,000 Tokens.
Legion
Lockdown decks are already quite strong in Marvel Snap, but adding Legion to the mix makes them even stronger.
This 5-Cost/7-Power card has the On Reveal ability to change all other locations to the one he’s played at. Using this ability to lock opponents out of locations, especially when Legion is played after Storm floods a location, can be quite the effective strategy.
Legion can also give you access to duplicate beneficial locations as well such as Elysium or Sinister London. At only 3,000 Tokens, Legion is a great pick up from the Token Shop.
Kitty Pryde
Kitty Pryde is one of the best 1-Cost cards in Marvel Snap and a must get from the Token Shop. She’s versatile and is a staple of some of Marvel Snap’s best decks.
While Kitty Pyrde is only a 1-Cost/0-Power card, her ability allows her to return to your hand each turn and gain +1. If played early, she can end up as a 1-Cost/5-Power card by the end of the game.
Additionally, she has a lot of synergy with other cards that can further boost her power such as Forge or Elsa Bloodstone. She also can be perfect for Bounce decks that rely on returning cards to the player’s hand to power them up. For those missing Kitty Pryde from their collection, she is definitely worth the 6,000 Tokens.
Mobius M. Mobius
This card is a recent addition to Marvel Snap, but his introduction has shaken up the meta quite a bit.
He is a 2-Cost/3-Power card with an interesting Ongoing ability that prevents your opponent from lowering the cost of their cards and increasing the cost of your cards. This ability can completely shut down popular deck archetypes like Wave or Bounce, since they rely on lowering the cost of cards to play them earlier.
As such, Mobius has become a staple for most decks in Marvel Snap’s meta, making him a great purchase for 3,000 Tokens.
Alioth
One of the most powerful cards in the Marvel Snap meta right now is Alioth.
It’s a 6-Cost/5-Power card with the On Reveal ability to destroy all cards the opponent has played at its location this turn, including unrevealed cards. This ability makes Alioth a powerhouse for lockdown decks, since it can prevent a turn six power swing in your opponent’s favor when played carefully.
Many players use Alioth after Galactus, since their opponent will be forced to play in the single remaining locations. This makes them vulnerable to having their strategy being completely upended by Alioth. As such, Alioth is a fantastic 6,000-Token purchase from the Token Shop.
Jeff!
Jeff is an extremely versatile card in Marvel Snap. He is a 2-Cost/3-Power card with the ability to be played at any location regardless of its restrictions and can move locations once per match.
This makes him well-suited to deal with a variety of situations you may encounter in Marvel Snap. Jeff can be the difference between a win and a loss when Sanctum Sanctorum shows up as a location, or when you need just a little more power to win a Flooded location.
While this baby land shark may be a 6,000 Token card, he is well worth the price for the utility he offers in most Marvel Snap Decks.
High Evolutionary
The High Evolutionary card is a game-changer for Marvel Snap players. It is a 4-Cost/4-Power card that essentially becomes seven cards in one.
High Evolutionary’s ability unlocks the secret abilities of cards that typically have none when it’s in your deck. Cards like Wasp, Misty Knight, Shocker, Cyclops, The Thing, Abomination, and Hulk all gain new powerful abilities.
Decks built around High Evolutionary are consistently at the top of the Marvel Snap meta, so any player without access to this card is going to be at a disadvantage. That’s why High Evolutionary is the single best card to get from the Token Shop in Marvel Snap.
