All Random Trust Events for Seth (Open-World)

Each in-game day, there’s a chance that a Random Trust Event for Seth will spawn. You can increase this chance by inviting Seth to hang out via texts over multiple real-life days. The specific Trust Event that spawns is random, but some events are more common than others.

Not all dialogue choices affect your Trust Rank, so we’ll only cover the ones that do. Fortunately, Seth’s responses never decrease his Trust in you, so you can’t really make a wrong choice.

Note: After completing 8 Random Trust Events in one real-life day, no more will spawn in subsequent in-game days.

Sixth Street

There are a total of 3 possible Random Trust Events for Seth on Sixth Street.

1. Godfinger Arcade

Seth is trying to get an achievement but needs a second player to help him.

• Time: Morning
• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase.

2. Godfinger Arcade Part 2

For some reason, Seth is trying to give up his arcade membership.

• Time: Morning
• Requires you to have done the previous Random Trust Event.
• We believe this event can only be done once.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase (and Seth will always give up his membership).

3. Front of Random Play

Shepherd needs to discuss an urgent commission with you, but Seth is also on his way to meet you at the same time. Don’t let him find out you’re a Proxy!

• Time: Midnight only

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase. (We suggest bullying Shepherd – he deserves it.)

Lumina Square

There are a total of 6 possible Random Trust Events for Seth at Lumina Square.

1. Noodle Shop

You notice Seth getting noodles at Lumina Square. Enlighten him to the superior glory of the noodle store on Sixth Street.

• Time: Evening–Midnight

• But I usually get noodles when I’m hungry after working overtime. Would that noodle shop still be open by the time I get to Sixth Street?
  • Give me a heads-up and I’ll make a reservation for you. (Trust Increase)
  • It is quite late. Try to get off work earlier. (Neutral)

2. Coffee Shop

Seth overhears some people talk about caffeine allergies and begins to worry that he’s poisoning Qingyi…

• Time: Morning

• “Busy? Uh… A little. My hip needs a little oil… No, I’ll do it myself. Are you going to the coffee shop again, Seth? Pick me up a latte, would you?”
  • There’s nothing wrong with just doing as she asked. (Neutral)
  • I was just about to ask – do you like coffee, Seth? (Trust Increase)

3. Eve’s Newsstand

Folks are complaining about PubSec within earshot of Seth. He doesn’t seem too happy about it.

• Time: Morning
• Requires you to have completed Undercover R&B Special Episode to spawn.

• They didn’t talk about the actual case that much…
  • Well, power outages are more important. (Neutral)
  • I want to know more about the case. (Trust Increase)

4. Convenience Store

Is this it? Is this the moment where you finally catch Seth being a stereotypical officer buying instant noodles!?

• Time: Morning

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase.

5. Pharmacy (Near Officer Mewmew)

You catch Seth stocking up on a surprising amount of medical supplies.

• Time: Morning

• Then I can get anything done, too!

  • As a citizen, I feel safe. (Trust Increase)

6. Crowd of Cats (Near Newsstand)

You find Seth with an entourage of cats. Do they think he’s their leader?

• Time: Morning

• So why do cats stick around humans?
  • Because they’ve become used to it. (Neutral)
  • Because they’re kind-hearted. (Trust Increase)

Invite & Hangout Trust Events with Seth

Each real-life day, you can text and invite up to three characters to hang out, and one of these invites can be Seth.

The only dialogue choice that matters during the texting portion is which hangout location you choose. You’ll always randomly be given two locations to pick from.

Once again, we will only focus on dialogue options that affect your Trust with Seth.

Most importantly, make sure to show up on time for the hangout! If you miss it, Seth will send you a guilt-inducing text about waiting for you. Don’t let down someone that earnest and well-meaning!

1. Humble Noodles (Noodle Shop)

• Text Option: Wanna come to Sixth Street for noodles, then?

You continue to flex the superiority of the noodle shop on Sixth Street over the one at Lumina Square.

• If you ask me which is better… I couldn’t say. But it looks like you give more toppings.
  • General Chop is so eager to win… (Neutral)
  • Because you’re my guest. (Trust Increase)
• Regardless of your answers, you will also always receive 1 Significant Trust Increase at the end.

2. Film Curator (Movie Theater)

• Text Option: Let’s go watch a new release at the cinema.

You and Seth decide to see a movie, but he insists that you decide on what to watch.

• You’re the expert when it comes to movies, Manager, so you pick. What should we watch today?
  • An action movie about a Public Security Officer (Trust Increase)
  • A thriller with a very creepy atmosphere (Neutral)
  • A slightly-tragic romance (Neutral)
• Regardless of your answers, you will also always receive 1 Significant Trust Increase at the end.

3. Whispering River Breeze (Playground)

• Text Option: Let’s go for a riverside walk!

Seth seems to be in deep contemplation over his relationship with his brother. Hear him out.

• Sometimes I suddenly wonder if this is all just me and… and I’m being completely delusional.
  • Brothers always have a rivalry. (Trust Increase)
  • Brothers are still brothers, no matter how much they fight. (Significant Trust Increase)
    • Depending on which dialogue option you choose in the previous one, the subsequent dialogue is a bit different, but the answer options (and results) are the same.
• “Brothers are still brothers, no matter what” – that reminds me of… the Sunlight Trophy at the annual commendation ceremony. Any pair of brothers is eligible for it, making my efforts…
  • Why don’t you tell all of this to your brother? (Trust Increase at the end)
  • And why are you telling ME all this? (Significant Trust Increase at the end)

4. Perennial Blooms (Flower Shop)

• Text Option: I decided that you should pick where

Surprisingly, Seth is very knowledgeable and passionate about plants.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase.

Seth Trust Rank-Up Quests

When your Trust Rank with Seth is ready to advance to the next level, you’ll automatically receive a Trust Rank-Up quest. These quests will always successfully progress, so just choose the answers you like the most!

If for some reason Seth isn’t at the expected quest spot, make sure you track the quest as your active one. This will force the game to prioritize spawning him in.

1. Friendly (“Interview Incident”)

• Location: At the crosswalk near Lumina Galleria (Mall)

Seth is accosted by a reporter looking for an impromptu street interview.  Bear witness to Seth torpedoing the reporter’s plans.

After completing this quest, you’ll receive a text from Seth the next day that’ll start a short mini-quest to earn Seth as a promoter for your store.

Using Seth as a promoter will give you 2x Basic Shock Chip, in addition to the usual Dennies and Bangboo EXP items. Unfortunately, you’re better off using a S-Rank character to earn more rewards.

2. Close (“Silly Game”)

• Location: In the alleys behind Howl’s Newsstand

You tell Seth about the “legend” of the returning ball of Sixth Street and challenge his soccer skills.

You’ll have to actually dribble the ball over to Random Play by running into it. If the ball goes horribly off course, you can talk to Seth to reset the challenge.

Completing this quest will unlock access to Seth’s special Resonium in Hollow Zero. It activates his M6 effect (Idealist) – causing the last hit of his Enhanced Basic Attack to deal an extra 500% of his ATK as damage, be a guaranteed CRIT, and deal 60% more CRIT DMG.

You have a chance to obtain his unique Resonium by entering a rest area between floors, but only if Seth delivers the killing blow to the previous floor’s boss. If you’re using Seth as the damage dealer of your team, this is a huge buff.

3. Trusted (Sincere or Pretending?)

• Location: At Richard’s Milktea

An officer-colleague seems to be trying to get close to Seth, but he doesn’t seem very interested for some reason.

Completing this quest will unlock the dynamic wallpaper for Seth as an option in your pause menu.

Additionally, you will now gain a bonus effect if you trigger the rest area event for Seth in Hollow Zero. As long as Seth is alive and in the squad, all shielded Agents will deal 15% increased DMG.
