How to Unlock Evelyn’s Trust Events in Zenless Zone Zero

1. You must own Evelyn Chevalier.
2. Complete the Special Episode: “Astra-Nomical Moment” (available after completing Chapter 5’s main story).

All Evelyn Random Trust Events (Open-World)

Although Evelyn doesn’t have many Random Trust Events, all of them are repeatable and none of your answers will decrease her Trust in you. As such, feel free to fully explore all dialogue options with Evelyn during these events.

As is tradition with our Trust guides, we’ll focus only on dialogue options that affect your Trust with Evelyn.

Sixth Street

There is only 1 Random Trust Event for Evelyn on Sixth Street in Zenless Zone Zero.

1. Bardic Needle

While Evelyn is browsing the records at Bardic Needle, Ellen and her friend group seems to recognize her… apparently even a manager has fans of her own.

• Time: Morning – Evening
  • Whether Evelyn keeps her jacket on or takes it off for the photo depends on your answer.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase.

Lumina Square

There are 3 Random Trust Events for Evelyn at Lumina Square in Zenless Zone Zero.

1. San-Z Studio (with Yi)

You find Evelyn speaking to Yi in front of his shop about a business proposal – come up with a unique design for Astra. Help give Yi the final push he needs to agree.

• Time: Morning – Evening
  • This one is a bit odd, as you don’t see the effect of your choice until the very end.

• You are also a fan of San-Z’s, Manager?
  • I’ve bought a lot of Astra’s albums! (Trust Increase at the end)
  • I’ve bought a lot of Yi’s works! (Neutral at the end)

2. Coffee Shop

You find Evelyn making questionable life choices with her coffee order, to the point where Tin Master is refusing to make her order. Learn why Evelyn would even need a drink that strong.

• Time: Morning – Evening

• If you try to wake me up when I’m dozing off, I may strike back out of instinct. And that’s okay?
  • That’s okay. I’m tough! (Trust Increase)
  • Well… Let’s find a plan B. (Neutral)

3. Playground

You find Evelyn taking a break and inspecting the kiddy rides at the playground. Apparently, there’s a legend behind these broken down rides granting wishes, but that seems a bit far-fetched… right?

• Time: Morning – Evening
  • Choose the wish option to get rich for a funnier ending.

• It’s just work. I’ll be fine after some fresh air. Don’t you worry.
  • Is it Astra? (Neutral)
  • Want to talk? (Trust Increase)

Port Elpis

There is only 1 Random Trust Event for Evelyn at Port Elpis in Zenless Zone Zero.

1. Docks (Near Fishing Points)

You find Evelyn spending some free time by the docks. Turns out it’s one of her favorite places. The smell and feel of the sea remind of her times long past…

• Time: Morning – Evening

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase.

Invite & Hangout Events for Evelyn

Each real-life day, you can text and invite up to three characters to hang out. Naturally, Evelyn is one of these options.

The only option that matters during the text is deciding on which location/activity to go to, with the available options being random. There are a total of 4 different Hangout Events with Evelyn.

Once again, we’ll focus only on dialogue options that affect your Trust with Evelyn.

1. Nothing Wanted (Lumina Galleria)

Even though Evelyn isn’t really interested in buying anything for herself, she doesn’t mind walking around with you for a bit at the mall. Note the keyword – herself. Make sure Evelyn gets something that she personally wants.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase by the end.

2. Unlovedboo (Reverb Arena)

Evelyn is dealing with a bit of a headache due to an impulse decision on her part. Head with her to Reverb Arena and help find a lone Wandererboo find its true home.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase by the end.

3. Thriller Movie (Gravity Cinema)

Even though Evelyn has seen almost every new film release for work, there are some old movies she hasn’t seen yet. Of course, even a simple movie outing can go wrong.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase by the end.

4. No Match for Her (Godfinger)

You suggest heading to Godfinger, and Evelyn is down to experience something she hasn’t had the chance to try out. However, it seems that Astra has caught wind of your plans…

• When it comes to having fun on a day off, there’s no such thing as being late, right?
  • Totally! (Neutral)
  • We were having a pleasant conversation anyway. (Significant Trust Increase)
• You will also get 1 Trust Increase at the end, regardless of your choices.

Quality Time Events for Evelyn

Once you reach trust rank Friendly with Evelyn, you’ll be able to go on Quality Time Events with her. These are effectively mini-hangouts that you need to complete in sequential order.

Each event grants you 1 Trust Increase when you finish them for the first time and earns you a reward in the Quality Time Event tab.

Once you complete all of them, you’ll unlock a dropdown menu in the Quality Time Event tab that lets you replay them for fun.

1. Sixth Street (Girl of the Same Name)

Evelyn wants to check out the newsstand that Astra mentioned to her. Although it seems like there was a bit of a mix-up in which newsstand Astra was talking about.

2. Sixth Street (Order in Order)

Evelyn suggests picking up some food from 141 Convenience. Even when it comes to ordering food, she’s methodical… she is talking about food, right?

3. Starloop Tower (Outstanding Concert)

Evelyn reminiscences about the incident at Starloop Tower and how

4. Lumina Square (Financial Products)

Head over to the elevator by 141 Convenience, where Evelyn warns you to never get involved with High Ambitions Entertainment (the agency that owns Astra).

5. Lumina Square (Workout Time)

The two of you encounter some very plump cats in the alleyway. Evelyn wants a picture with one of them but they’re too fat to lift. Evelyn finds this unacceptable and begins rattling off some uh… interesting “solutions” to the problem.

All Fun Events for Evelyn

When hanging out with Evelyn specifically in Quality Time mode (Invite/Hangout Events do not count), you can trigger a couple small interactions by bringing her to specific spots. These Fun Events are repeatable by leaving and re-entering Quality Time mode.

While you only need to trigger a total of 5 unique ones to claim all the Quality Time rewards, it’s fun to check out all of them and hear Evelyn’s thoughts on various things.

You also need to make sure Evelyn is physically at the correct spot to trigger the Fun Event. This can take a bit of wiggling around, but the images below should give you an idea of where you should be positioned.

Sixth Street

There are 2 Fun Events for Evelyn on Sixth Street.

1. Entrance to 404 Live House

The nightclub is directly across from the Gadget Store.

2. Back Alley by Colorful Crates

Near where Evelyn met Rain during the Special Episode. Also turns out those crates are houses.

Lumina Square

There are 7 Fun Events for Evelyn at Lumina Square.

1. Entrance to NEPS Parking Lot

Evelyn points out a fact about Mewmew that can never be unseen.

2. 141 Convenience Store

Right in front of the Bangboos.

3. Overpass Bridge

Head up the stairs near Richard Teamilk.

4. Railing by the River

By the railing in the corner directly across from Eve’s Newsstand, right next to the bike racks.

5. Pigeon Sign

The tree right to Eve’s Newsstand, which has an anti-pigeon sign on it.

6. Tiger Graffiti

In the alley directly across from the hotpot restaurant.

7. Hotpot Restaurant

Right by the entrance.

Starloop Tower

There is only 1 Fun Event for Evelyn at Starloop Tower.

1. Golden Record Statue

In the upstairs VIP Lounge, right in front of the statue next to the stairs.

Evelyn Trust Rank-Up Quests

When your Trust Rank with Evelyn is ready to advance to the next level in Zenless Zone Zero, you’ll automatically receive a Trust Rank-Up quest. These quests will always successfully progress, so just choose the answers you like the most!

If for some reason Evelyn isn’t at the expected quest spot, make sure you track the quest as your active one. This will force the game to prioritize spawning her in.

1. Friendly (Facial Recognition)

• Location: By Lumina Galleria (Morning – Late Night)

You find Evelyn near the mall, practicing her facial recognition skills. After all, a bodyguard needs to be able to identify potential threats at a glance. Join in on her training and put your knowledge of Lumina Square to the test… and confirm the existence of a certain coin-loving individual.

Promoter Quest (All for Show)

• Location: Inside Random Play (Morning – Late Night)

Evelyn will text you the next day to see if you have the film “Oh~ Sweetie” (earned from reaching Video Store Level 4). Once you confirm that you have it, she’ll immediately appear in Random Play to grab it.

Evelyn wants to study Monica’s acting technique but wants to avoid any potential scandals of being associated with Astra’s biggest rival. Help Evelyn gain some insights on Monica, while you gain some insights into what goes on in the background of New Eridu’s show biz.

Completing this quest will unlock Evelyn as a store promoter. Using Evelyn as a promoter will give you 5x Basic Fire Chip, in addition to the usual Dennies and Bangboo EXP items.

2. Close (Together as Promised)

• Location: Near Lumina Galleria, talk to Knocked Down Man to start (Late Night only)

You find a man who apparently was floored by Evelyn after he tried to return her coat. Relieve the man of his burden and find Evelyn near the riverside, who’s apparently just a tad too drunk. Witness a completely unexpected side of Evelyn.

Evelyn’s Unique Resonium

Reaching Close rank will unlock access to Evelyn’s unique Resonium in Hollow Zero. There’s a chance that you’ll get it if Evelyn is the active character when you defeat a section’s boss in the following Hollow Zero modes:

• Withered Domain (Exploration Mode): Go to the center rest camp in the area between floors.
• Withered Domain (Blitz Mode): If the chance procs, you’ll automatically get it after beating the section’s boss.
• Lost Void (Battlefront Purge): Talk to Evelyn at the rest area between sections (Quest Marker will be over her head).

Evelyn’s Resonium activates her M2 (Dance of Fire), which lets her regain her Burning Embers once every 25 seconds after expending them and increases her interruption resistance when she triggers her impromptu Chain Attack.

This doesn’t drastically change Evelyn’s playstyle, but does let you spam her heavy hitting attacks a bit more often and easily. If you already have Evelyn at M2 or higher, the Resonium doesn’t provide any value outside of completion.

3. Trusted (Unknown Letter)

• Location: 141 Convenience in Lumina Square (Morning – Late Night)

You find Evelyn at the convenience store in Lumina Square picking up a delivery. It’s just a simple letter, not even with any words on it, but what it conveys doesn’t remind Evelyn of anything good. Some memories are painful to revisit… but you’re willing to wait until Evelyn is ready to share.

Completing this quest unlocks Evelyn’s Dynamic Wallpaper for your pause menu. It also grants an achievement (Defenseless Line) and a title (Put the Coat on Her).

Unfortunately, miHoYo has stopped giving new Agents an additional buff in Hollow Zero for reaching Trusted rank, and Evelyn doesn’t get anything new.
