How to Unlock Trust Events for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

1. You must own Burnice.
2. Complete all of Chapter 4 as well as the short post-chapter quest (Leisurely Lull: Unexpected New Customers) that features Tsukishiro Yanagi of Section 6.

Once you meet the above criteria, you’ll be able to find Burnice in the open world for Random Trust Events and can text her to hangout.

Contrary to what some places are saying, you do not need to complete Burnice’s Agent Story to access her Trust Events. Though you should do it, cause it’s a fun little story.

All Random Trust Events for Burnice (Open-World)

Each in-game day, there’s a chance that a Random Trust Event for Burnice will spawn. You can increase this chance by consistently inviting Burnice to hang out via texts over multiple real-life days.

Not all dialogue choices affect your Trust Rank, so we’ll only cover the ones that do. Fortunately, there are no answers that decrease Burnice’s trust in you. And trust us – we have tested every dialogue choice. Additionally, aside from her gift-giving one in Blazewood, all of Burnice’s Random Trust Events are repeatable.

Note: After completing 8 Random Trust Events in one real-life day, no more will spawn in subsequent in-game days. This limit will occasionally deviate, but it’s usually 8.

Sixth Street

There is only 1 Random Trust Event for Burnice on Sixth Street.

1. Leave General Chop’s Shop

You run into Burnice while getting noodles. She’s checking out some of Big Daddy’s recommended spots in the city and wants a flavor recommendation from a local. (We suggest trying each dialogue option for amusing anecdotes about the other gang members.)

• Time: Morning-Evening
• Interact with General Chop’s shop and leave to trigger this event.

Lumina Square

There are 3 Random Trust Events for Burnice at Lumina Square.

1. By Crosswalk

You find Burnice listening in on a conversation about drivers’ licenses and learn about the Sons of Calydon’s tenuous legal status as drivers.

• How does it feel? Is it exciting to be called Proxy in the middle of the street?

2. By Eve’s Newsstand

You find Burnice mumbling to herself and acting like… Lucy? Is she alright?

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase mid-way through.

3. Next to Parking Lot

Two strangers happen to be talking about Nitro-Fuel, which naturally results in Burnice being magically summoned to the area. Talk about Nitro-Fuel in length with Burnice.

• Time: Morning-Evening

Ballet Twins Road

There are 2 Random Trust Events for Burnice at Ballet Twins Road.

1. With Two Dogs

You find Burnice playing with 2 dogs and she has a theory about them that she wants to share with you.

Blazewood

Surprisingly, there is only 1 Random Trust Event for Burnice in Blazewood.

1. Front of Cheesetopia

Perfect timing, Burnice wanted to give you a little something as a surprise gift. Just play along with her little game for a bit.

• Time: Morning
• Most likely a one-time event. (We have not been able to re-trigger it since).

• Choose any answer. You will get 3x Basic Burn Chips at the end.

Invite & Hangout Events with Burnice

Each real-life day, you can text and invite up to three characters to hang out, and one of these invites can be Burnice.

The only dialogue choice that matters during the text itself is which hangout location you choose. You’ll always randomly be given two locations to pick from.

Once again, we will only focus on dialogue options that affect your Trust with Burnice.

Most importantly, make sure to show up on time for the hangout! If you miss it, Burnice will send you a guilt-inducing text about waiting for you. Betraying the expectations of the pyromaniac who mixes your drinks is not conducive to your long-term health.

1. A Matter of Prestige (Turbo)

• Text Option: Let’s meet up at Turbo.

While Burnice wants to get her ride taken care of, the two of you talk shop about vehicles.

• I meant your ride!
  • Keeping the interior tidy (Trust Increase)
  • Waxing the exterior (Trust Increase)
  • Washing it in the blood of my enemies (Significant Trust Increase)

2. Nitro-Fuel Out of Stock (Lumina 141)

• Text Option: Let’s meet up at 141.

You and Burnice share a single brain cell, and that brain cell demands Nitro Fuel.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase.

3. Movie Day with Burnice (Random Play)

• Text Option: Then let’s meet up at Random Play.

You and Burnice decide to kick back and watch some movies. She’s bringing drinks and snacks.

4. Adventure in Public Security (Outside PubSec)

• Text Option: Let’s meet up at the Public Security office.

Both you and Burnice have some paperwork that needs filing and run into some officers discussing Phaethon. The two of you decide to mess with them.

  • Phaethon is a Public Security Officer. (Trust Increase)

Burnice Trust Rank-Up Quests

When your Trust Rank with Burnice is ready to advance to the next level, you’ll automatically receive a Trust Rank-Up quest. These quests will always successfully progress, so just choose the answers you like the most!

If for some reason Burnice isn’t at the expected quest spot, make sure you track the quest as your active one. This will force the game to prioritize spawning her in.

1. Friendly (Dispirited Vortex)

You find Burnice on the verge of collapse outside the convenience store in Lumina. She needs Nitro-Fuel stat, so help her out Proxy!

Burnice Promoter Quest (Everything Were Paper!)

After completing the Rank-Up quest, you’ll receive a text from Burnice the next day that’ll start a simple quest to earn her as a promoter for your store.

After you confirm that you have the movie she’s after, simply fast forward to the next day, and Burnice will show up inside of Random Play. Talk to her and watch a “cute” animal movie together to unlock Burnice as a promoter.

Using Burnice as a promoter will give you 5x Basic Burn Chip, in addition to the usual Dennies and Bangboo EXP items. If you’re trying to level up your Fire Agents’ skills, Burnice is your best option.

2. Close (Learn About Koleda’s Troubles)

You find Koleda outside the police precinct complaining about an arsonist that keeps burning fuel at the worksite. No points on guessing who’s involved.

This quest requires a bit of traveling around and time-skipping but is very straight-forward. Enjoy the unexpected interaction between these two Agents!

Completing this quest will unlock access to Burnice’s unique Resonium in Hollow Zero. There are two ways to obtain it:

1. When you enter the rest area between floors, there’s a chance a special event will trigger. If Burnice was the one to land the killing blow on the previous floor’s boss, you’ll get her unique Resonium.
2. If you’re doing Blitz Mode in Withering Garden, there’s a chance to get it if Burnice lands the killing blow on the last boss of one of the sections.

As for the effect of Burnice’s Resonium, it activates her M2 effect (Extra at No Additional Charge) – causing any trigger of her Afterburn effect to apply additional PEN Ratio up to a max of 20%.

Not a huge buff, but any extra damage is always appreciated. If you already have Burnice at M1 or higher, the Resonium will not provide any additional benefits.

3. Trusted (Summer Night’s Dream)

You find Burnice observing a bickering couple and learning about their juicy love life. Join in as an onlooker and bear witness to Burnice’s sins.

Completing this quest will unlock the dynamic wallpaper for Burnice as an option in your pause menu.

Additionally, you will now gain a bonus effect if you trigger the rest area event for Burnice in Hollow Zero. She’ll use you as a snuggle plush while resting and gain the Endless Refills effect – which causes all squad members to deal 15% extra damage to Burning enemies (as long as Burnice is alive and in the squad).
