All Random Trust Events for Lycaon (Open-World)

Each in-game day, there’s a chance that one Random Trust Event for Lycaon will spawn. You can increase this chance by consistently inviting Lycaon to hang out via texts over multiple real-life days.

Not every dialogue choice affects your Trust Rank, so we’ll only cover the ones that do. Fortunately, there’s only one instance where Lycaon’s trust in you can decrease, and it’s really obvious.

Normally, we also say that we’ve tested every dialogue option… but there are some Random Trust Events for Lycaon that can only be done once in Zenless Zone Zero, so we haven’t been able to test every dialogue option this time around. If you know the results of certain choices that are unmarked, let us know in the comments!

Note: After completing 8 Random Trust Events in one real-life day, no more will spawn during subsequent in-game days until the daily reset. This limit will occasionally deviate, but it’s usually 8.

Sixth Street

There are 2 Random Trust Events for Lycaon on Sixth Street.

1. Graffiti in Alley

You find Lycaon and Corin observing some strange graffiti in the alley next to 141 Convenience. Lycaon wants your opinion on it. You’ll also need to take a picture of the graffiti afterwards and show it Lycaon to complete the event.

Lycaon is surrounded by students clamoring to buy Victoria Housekeeping’s services but is trying to turn them down. Thankfully, you just happened to pass by… establish the relationship between the two of you and drive off those poachers! (And yes, this can get weird.)

Invite & Hangout Events with Lycaon

Each real-life day, you can text and invite up to three characters to hang out with in Zenless Zone Zero, and one of these invites can be Lycaon .

The only dialogue choice that matters during the text itself is which hangout location you choose. You’ll always randomly be given two locations to pick from.

Once again, we will only focus on dialogue options that affect your Trust with Lycaon

Most importantly, make sure to show up on time for the hangout! If you miss it, Lycaon will send you a guilt-inducing text about waiting for you. Don’t make him be a lone wolf.

1. The weather’s great today. Let’s take a stroll. (Lumina River)

• Text Option: How about going to the riverside trail near Lumina Square?

You invite Lycaon to take a stroll by the riverside to take a breather. Decide on the activity and enjoy the sights.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase by the end.

2. Attendant’s Visit (Random Play)

• Text Option: Come hang out at my place!

You invite Lycaon to come hang out at your place. However, even during his leisure time, Lycaon is a butler first and foremost.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase by the end.

3. Fluffy Accident (Lumina River)

• Text Option: How about the open space on the corner of Lumina Square?

You decide to meet up with Lycaon at Lumina Square, only to find him surrounded by fuzzy friends. Take advantage of this unique opportunity.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase by the end.

4. Let’s meet up at the cinema (Lumina Galleria)

• Text Option: How about Gravity Cinema?

You invite Lycaon to catch a movie with you at Gravity Cinema. He promises to bring the snacks and drinks.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase by the end.

Lycaon Trust Rank-Up Quests

When your Trust Rank with Lycaon is ready to advance to the next level in Zenless Zone Zero, you’ll automatically receive a Trust Rank-Up quest. These quests will always successfully progress, so just choose the answers you like the most!

If for some reason Lycaon isn’t at the expected quest spot, make sure you track the quest as your active one. This will force the game to prioritize spawning him in.

1. Friendly (Impressive Life Skills)

• Location: In the alley next to 141 Convenience on Sixth Street

You find Lycaon struggling with the malfunctioning vending machine near 141 Convenience Store. Help out the far too earnest attendant and teach him how to fix a non-cooperative machine.

Lycaon Promoter Quest (Lycaon’s Dilemma)

After completing the Rank-Up quest, you’ll receive a text from Lycaon the next day that’ll start a simple quest to earn him as a promoter for your store.

Lycaon wishes to watch Final Punch (which can be obtained from Heddy after reaching Store Level 6) due to having mechanical legs similar to the movie’s protagonist.

Once you confirm you have the movie, Lycaon will show up outside of your store the next day to collect it. Enjoy some desserts and coffee as you watch it with Lycaon to unlock him as a promoter.

Using Lycaon as a promoter will give you 5x Basic Freeze Chip, in addition to the usual Dennies and Bangboo EXP items. If you’re trying to level up your Ice Agents’ skills, Lycaon is your best option as a promoter.

2. Close (You Can Touch the Wolf’s Tail)

• Location: Next to 141 Convenience in Lumina Square

You find a little girl asking to touch Lycaon’s tail, however the Wolf Thiren seems very adverse to the idea. Unfortunately, the child is rather insistent. Help him out and discover the lengths Lycaon goes to take care of his tail.

Lycaon’s Unique Resonium

Completing this quest will unlock access to Lycaon’s unique Resonium in Hollow Zero. There are two ways to obtain it:

1. When you enter the rest area between floors, there’s a chance a special event will trigger. If Lycaon was the one to land the killing blow on the previous floor’s boss, you’ll get his unique Resonium.
2. If you’re doing Blitz Mode in Withering Garden, there’s a chance to get it if Lycaon lands the killing blow on the last boss of one of the sections.

As for the effect of Lycaon’s Resonium, it activates his M1 effect (Full Moon Momentum) – increasing the daze of his EX Special Attack by 12% (22% if its fully charged) once every 8 seconds.

This buff simply increases Lycaon’s effectiveness as a Stunner and isn’t too game-changing. That being said, being able to stun your opponent more quickly is always a plus.

3. Trusted (A Sound Sleep)

• Location: To the side of Eve’s Newsstand in Lumina Square (Midnight only)

Canonically, the Proxy you play as suffers from insomnia, which explains why your character is often out and about during midnight. During one of your nightly strolls, you run into Lycaon who’s also struggling to sleep. Chat with him and enjoy the full moon (along with some superstitions) together.

Completing this quest will unlock the dynamic wallpaper for Lycaon as an option in your pause menu.

Additional Hollow Zero Buff for Lycaon

Completing this quest will also grant you an additional effect when you trigger Lycaon’s unique Rest Area event in Hollow Zero.

Lycaon will offer your team a tea break (yes, in the midst of Hollow Zero) that either removes 50 Pressure or cleanses 1 Corruption. Which effect is granted is purely random, but both tend to be beneficial in most cases. However, you can also reject the tea break if you wish to.
