With that in mind, we’ll be going over all of the Trust Events for Lucy and the best answers to quickly raise your Trust Rank with her in this Zenless Zone Zero guide!

How to Unlock Trust Events for Lucy in Zenless Zone Zero

1. You must own Lucy.
2. Complete all of Chapter 4 as well as the short post-chapter quest (Leisurely Lull: Unexpected New Customers) that features Tsukishiro Yanagi of Section 6.

Once you meet the above criteria, Lucy (as well as the other Sons of Calydon characters that you own) will begin to spawn in the open-world as a Random Trust Event and can be texted to hangout.

All Random Trust Events for Lucy (Open-World)

Each in-game day, there’s a chance that a Random Trust Event for Lucy will spawn. You can increase this chance by consecutively inviting Lucy to hang out via texts over multiple real-life days.

Lucy has a rather low amount of Random Trust Events with a total of only 6 (one more than Caesar, take that!). Luckily, none of them are one-time only events, so you should be able to experience all of them for yourself rather easily.

Not all dialogue choices affect your Trust with Lucy, so we’ll only be covering the ones that do. Surprisingly, none of them ever lead to a decrease – and we’ve tested every possible dialogue option.

Note: After completing 8 Random Trust Events in one real-life day, no more will spawn in subsequent in-game days.

Sixth Street

There are 2 Random Trust Events for Lucy on Sixth Street.

1. Coffee Shop

You run into Lucy while going for a coffee run and discuss the latest added flavor to the menu.

• Time: Morning

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase.
  • “Citrus” to maintain a professional relationship.
  • “Orange peel” to tease and embarrass her.

2. Arcade

You run into Lucy by chance near the arcade and discuss whether or not gaming might be a good way for her to vent stress.

• Time: Morning

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase (and Lucy will always become a gamer).

Lumina Square

There are 3 Random Trust Events for Lucy at Lumina Square.

1. Hotpot Restaurant

Lucy appears to be fired up over some eating challenge at the hotpot restaurant and is dragging you into it.

• Time: Morning

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase.

2. Movie Theater

You bump into Lucy by chance near the movie theater. Why not catch a movie with her?

• Time: Morning
• The dialogue leading to the movie choice changes a bit depending on how you initially respond, but the choices (and their results) remain the same.

• No, just passing through. Not planning to catch one. …Unless you’re really itching for a movie and need someone to share a mega popcorn bucket…
  OR I’ve been in the Outer Ring for too long, totally clueless about the latest movies. Hey, shouldn’t you, the video store manager, be the one suggesting movies?
  • How about a horror movie? (Trust Increase)
  • How about a romantic movie? (Significant Trust Increase)
  • How about a documentary? (Trust Increase)

3. Pharmacy

You and Lucy discuss energy stimulants and why people slave away at jobs.

• Time: Morning

• Didn’t expect to meet you here, Proxy. Are you also interested in simulants that can give you an energy boost?
  • I’m kind of interested. (Trust Increase)
  • No, I value my life. (Significant Trust Increase)

Blazewood

There is only 1 Random Trust Event for Lucy in Blazewood.

1. Next to Cheesetopia

You overhear the plight of those without a choice and discuss it with Lucy.

• Time: Morning

• When I was a kid, an ambitious guest to my family told me that it’s better to be feared than loved, but now it seems… people lean towards love over fear…
  • Do you like Caesar, too? (Trust Increase)
  • But I like you, Lucy! (Significant Trust Increase)

Invite & Hangout Events with Lucy

When your Trust Rank with Lucy is ready to advance to the next level, you’ll automatically receive a Trust Rank-Up quest. These quests will always successfully progress, so just choose the answers you like the most!

If for some reason Lucy isn’t at the expected quest spot, make sure you track the quest as your active one. This will force the game to prioritize spawning her in.

1. Time for a Ride (Blazewood – Lower Level)

• Text Option: Should I come find you in the Outer Ring?

You meet up with Lucy in Blazewood and get the chance to go for a motorbike ride. The only question is will you ride on your own or with her?

• Blegh! Sand in my mouth! How are you holding up, Proxy?
  • I’m gonna puke! (Neutral)
  • Your ride is as smooth as butter. (Trust Increase)
  • So warm… (Trust Increase)

• Regardless of your answers, you will also always get 1 Significant Trust Increase at the end.

2. The Weather’s Great, Let’s Go for a Walk (By Eve’s Newsstand)

• Text Option: How about a riverside walk?

Take a walk with Lucy down by Lumina Square’s river and gain some insight into Lucy’s life and thought process.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase at the end.

3. Massages Save Humanity (Old Duyi’s Parlor)

• Text Option: How about getting a massage?

You and Lucy decide to get a massage by Old Duyi. Decide on what kind of massage the two of you should get.

• Choose any answer. You will always get 1 Trust Increase and 1 Significant Trust Increase at the end.

4. Shining Hair (Beauty Salon)

• Text Option: No idea, really.

With no plan in particular, you end up accompanying Lucy to get her hair done at the beauty salon. Incidentally, pick the weight option for a hilarious reaction.

• Phew, that’s more like it.
  • Works like a charm. (Trust Increase)
  • Your hair looks so soft… (Significant Trust Increase)

• Regardless of your answers, you will also always get 1 Trust Increase at the end.

Lucy Trust Rank-Up Quests

When your Trust Rank with Lucy is ready to advance to the next level, you’ll automatically receive a Trust Rank-Up quest. These quests will always successfully progress, so just choose the answers you like the most!

If for some reason Lucy isn’t at the expected quest spot, make sure you track the quest as your active one. This will force the game to prioritize spawning her in.

1. Friendly (Mysterious Visitor)

Lucy has a suspicion that someone is following her and needs you to pretend to have a conversation with her… which turns into a real conversation.

Lucy Promoter Quest (The Lure of Home?)

After completing the Rank-Up quest, you’ll receive a text from Lucy the next day that’ll start a simple quest to earn her as a promoter for your store.

After you confirm that you have the movie she’s after, simply fast forward to the next day, and Lucy will show up inside of Random Play. Talk to her and learn a bit about the complex family relationship Lucy went through as a child to unlock her as a promoter option.

Using Lucy as a promoter will give you 2x Basic Burn Chip, in addition to the usual Dennies and Bangboo EXP items. Unfortunately, you’re always better off using an S-Rank character as a promoter for more rewards.

2. Close (Goodbye Mysterious Visitor)

Lucy once again feels like she’s being watched and wants your help to test her follower’s intentions by “faking” an argument with her. Prepare to be emotionally destroyed (and called out as the player) by her words.

Completing this quest will unlock access to Lucy’s unique Resonium in Hollow Zero. There are two ways to obtain it:

1. When you enter the rest area between floors, there’s a chance a special event will trigger. If Lucy was the one to land the killing blow on the previous floor’s boss, you’ll get her unique Resonium.
2. If you’re doing Blitz Mode in Withering Garden, there’s a chance to get it if Lucy lands the killing blow on the last boss of one of the sections.

As for the effect of Lucy’s Resonium, it activates her M6 effect (Fierce Fangs of Fire) – causing any EX Special Attack to trigger an explosion of Fire DMG as long as the Cheer On! buff from Lucy is active and extending the duration of the buff by 5 seconds.

This is a very solid buff to Lucy’s kit, letting her deal even more damage and keep up her buff for longer as a Support. If you already have Lucy at M6, the Resonium will not provide any additional benefits.

3. Trusted (Mysterious Visitor Again)

Lucy doesn’t want her friends being remotely involved in her father’s mind-games and is determined to make that clear to her father’s flunky. Even if she and her father are similar, they’re still separate people with their own paths to take in life.

Completing this quest will unlock the dynamic wallpaper for Lucy as an option in your pause menu.

Normally, maxing out your Trust Rank with a character grants you an additional effect when you trigger the rest area event for them in Hollow Zero. However, this has not been implemented for Lucy yet. We’ll update this section once it’s been added to the game, so stay tuned!
