Clash Royale is one of the most popular mobile games out there right now (and for the last 6 years), but it’s a lot more difficult than it might appear. Progressing through the game’s many arenas can be a hard task for players of any skill level. Even the early arenas. The 5 Best Decks for Arena 4, Ranked in No Particular Order
Arena 4 has a couple strong options for cards that you can base your whole deck around. The biggest threats you can use here are Giant and Battle Ram, but there is still plenty of diversity in deck building. Even though there are only a few major threats, the way you build your deck can change greatly.
For support units, you have access to some of the best in the game. Musketeer’s air defense is invaluable, Goblin Cage and Goblin Hut are two of the strongest defensive (and kind of offensive) buildings you can use, and you get tons of splash damage options like Valkyrie and Skeleton Dragons. Even cheaper backup cards like Fire Spirit and Electro Spirit can be put to great use.
If you are newer to Clash, just know that the decks get a lot more varied as you climb. Higher Arenas bring with them new cards and new decks, so don’t get too used to the same thing.
Let’s get into the top 5 decks for Arena 4!
1. Giant Push
This deck is all about lining up a strong push with the Giant and at least a couple support troops. Giant with a Musketeer or Skeleton Dragons behind him is a deadly force to stop. Valkyrie also helps if your opponent is using ground swarms like Goblins or Barbarians to fight your Giant.
The best strategy with this deck is to wait until your opponent tries to make a push, then counter it with either Tombstone, Valkyrie, or Goblins. You can then drop a Giant on the bridge in front of your support units that were just defending. This will make for a super strong counter push.
2. Battle Ram
There aren’t that many strong offensive troops that only target buildings in Arena 4, but the Battle Ram stands out as one great example. Where Giant also only targets buildings, Battle Ram is cheaper and faster. Those barbarians can quickly race across the map to slam into enemy towers/buildings, then deal solid damage afterwards.
In this deck, you have access to strong defensive cards like Knight and Goblin Cage, which can halt dangerous pushes. For basic support, you have Minions and Archers to defend the air, and you also get Fireball and Wizard to take out potential threats to your Battle Ram pushes. It’s a fun, fast-paced deck that’ll also help you learn how to utilize more offensive units before unlocking the most powerful ones in later arenas.
3. Giant Swarm
We already know why Giant is so good–he’s the best tank in Arena 4. But the rest of this deck functions a bit differently than the first Giant-based deck on this list. Where the other one was focused on creating a push behind the Giant, this one focuses more on swarms and carefully timing counter pushes.
Since it’s a swarm deck with cards like Barbarians and Goblin Hut, you’ll be able to keep the battlefield packed with troops on your side. However, you’ll also have to watch out for cards like Valkyrie or Arrows which can easily wipe out your swarms. Minions and Fireball both help with air troops, and Bomber functions as the main support troop for the Giant. Just focus on using your swarms to take out enemy troops, then use Giant to create a counter push out of the leftovers.
4. Battle Ram Counter-Push
Counter-pushing is an incredibly important skill to utilize in Clash Royale. If you can master it at lower arenas you’ll have a major advantage later in the game. This deck mainly utilizes defensive spells like Inferno Tower and Knight to stop any pushes dead in their tracks, then you can use the Battle Ram to push for major tower damage.
One of the main strengths of this deck is its resiliency to many of the common cards in Arena 4. Inferno Tower melts Giant in a matter of seconds, Knight easily deals with most smaller ground threats, and Musketeer makes sure nothing gets close to you in the air. It’s all about countering and playing smart here. Battle Ram is not a hard troop to counter, so you’ll need to leave up strong defenses at all times. But once you get the hang of the deck, you’ll be farming trophies like crazy.
5. Anti-Tank
Since there are so many tanks in Clash Royale, it’s good to have a deck that counters them. This deck mostly focuses on countering the Giant, but it can handle any tanks in Arena 4. Mini P.E.K.K.A. is your main tool here for melting tanks, as its incredibly high damage-per-second allows him to destroy them just as fast as Inferno Tower or a massive swarm.
Mini P.E.K.K.A. also takes out enemy towers faster than almost anything else in Arena 4, so make use of him! The downside to the Mini P.E.K.K.A. is that he is weak to any swarm and can be easy to distract. That’s why you have so much backup in this deck. Goblins, Minions, and Goblin Hut can all be used to effectively destroy or distract a dangerous tank, and they can also all help out in supporting a Mini P.E.K.K.A. push when you go for it.
