Honkai: Star Rail – Best Relics & Tier List

Relics in Honkai: Star Rail are a vital tool for characters. They provide varying boosts that can make a character on your team go from under-performing to doing their job perfectly, whether that’s nuking enemies, protecting teammates, or supporting everyone.

To help you decide on which relic sets to go for next, here’s a tier list of the best relics in Honkai: Star Rail

Best Relics by Tier in Honkai: Star Rail

Before we sort all the relics of Honkai: Star Rail into tiers, it’s important to remember that a high tier relic set isn’t inherently the best for every character. Some characters may benefit more from using a lower-tier relic compared to higher-tier options.

This tier list will be accounting for both usability and strength. That way you know which relics you should focus on farming. However, if you’re looking to boost one specific character, check the breakdowns for each relic to see which characters it works best on.

There are two types of relics (Cavern and Planar), so we’ll have two separate tier lists for each one.

Choosing Relics & Relic Stats

The set bonuses are the most important part of relic sets in Honkai: Star Rail. However, things like rarity (as noted by star level) and main stats can have a big impact on which relic set you want to use. Generally good sets, like Muskateer of the Wild Wheat, can outperform S-Tier relics if their star level is higher or the individual relics have better stats.

If you’re trying to decide on which relic set to use, then you can equip each set and look at the stats of the character. This is a pretty good indicator of which relic set you should use. However, keep in mind that some sets have specific bonuses that trigger only when you go in a battle – these won’t be shown on the Stats screen, but you can mentally factor in their value yourself.

Each individual relic’s level is important too. Each relic will gain additional stats or upgrade its substats every three levels, and this can make or break your relics. Farming for better substats on your relics will be a common occurrence in Honkai: Star Rail.

All in all, just remember that every account has different relics, and you may find more use with a lower-tier relic. Test them out using this tier list as a starting point.

Farming for Relic Sets

Sometimes it’s not a good investment of Trailblaze Power to farm specific relic Sets. This is partly why some relic sets may be the best-in-slot for one or two characters but rank lowly on the tier list.

If you’re going to spend resources, then you want to do so wisely, especially early on in the game. Focusing on sets that are more universally used or useful for your most powerful character is generally the way to go until you hit late-game content.

Join the High Ground!

That wraps up our tier list for relic sets in Honkai: Star Rail. While every character has their best-in-slot relic set, don’t be afraid to choose another one if you get really good individual relics. Sometimes, the best Planar set is whichever one you have that boosts the Elemental Damage of your character!
