Riverwood Trader

The Riverwood Trader is an excellent location to sell your jewelry in Skyrim.  Lucan Valerius and his sister Camilla run the Riverwood Trader, a fantastic location to sell your jewelry because of how much gold they carry. At the base level, Lucan has 750 gold coins, but this can be increased if you invest in the store. You will need the perk Investor in the Speech skill tree, which can be unlocked at Speech Level 70.

Investing in the Riverwood Trader will increase the amount of gold Lucan carries by 10,000. You can also increase the amount of gold Lucan has to barter by using the Master Trader perk under the Speech skill line. Lucan will have a lot more gold compared to most merchants in Skyrim, allowing you to sell larger amounts of jewelry. You can also try the method where you wait 48 hours to reset his gold if you need to sell more items. 

Riverwood is a small town located just South of Whiterun and Northeast of the Guardian Stone. The Riverwood Trader is located next to the Sleeping Giant Inn and Sven and Hilde’s house. The shop is open from 8am to 8pm.

Tonilia, The Ragged Flagon

Tonilia is one of the best merchants in Skyrim to sell your jewelry to because of the amount of gold she carries. The base amount of gold she has is 1,000 gold coins, but this can increase to up to 4,000 gold coins with the Master Trader perk. You will have to join the Thieves Guild in order to do business with Tonilia, but once you have unlocked this option, she will purchase any items, including jewelry.

The amount of gold Tonilia carries resets every 48 hours, so you can use the Wait function in the game to speed up the process of selling off your jewelry. This method is beneficial if you have a lot to sell. Tonilia has a lot more gold than other vendors in Skyrim, making her one of the best people to sell your jewelry to.

Tonilia is a fence for the Thieves Guild in Riften, and can be found in The Ragged Flagon in the Thieves Guild Hideout.

Belethor’s Goods

Belethor’s Goods is another excellent location to sell jewelry in Skyrim. Belethor’s inventory resets every 48 hours, so you can also Wait after selling jewelry if he runs out of gold. Once you reach Speech Level 70, you can invest in Belethor’s Goods if you wish to. This will increase the amount of gold he has by 500 coins, and 1,000 coins with the Master Trader perk. If you have a home in Whiterun or stop by the city a lot, Belethor’s Goods is a great place to sell your jewelry and other unwanted items. 

Belethor’s Goods is located in the main marketplace in Whiterun across from the Bannered Mare. The store is open from 8am to 8pm.

Enthir, The College of Winterhold

Enthir is a Wood Elf mage at the College of Winterhold who sells rare goods out of his quarters. If you complete the quest “Hard Answers,” which is part of the Thieves Guild questline, you will be able to buy from Enthir. With the Speech Perk Merchant, you can sell your goods to him as well.

Enthir carries 500 gold at the base level, but this can be increased with the Master Trader perk, which adds 1,000 gold for him to barter with.  If you frequent the College of Winterhold, you can add a stop to visit Enthir and sell off your jewelry. 

Enthir can be found at the Hall of Attainment in the College of Winterhold. His quarters are on the second floor of the Hall of Attainment, and he usually spends his time here or wandering around the Hall of Elements.

Sadri’s Used Wares

Sadri’s Used Wares is a general store in Windhelm where you can sell jewelry and other items. Sadri carries 750 gold with him at the base level, but that goes up to 500 coins if you invest in his store. You can also increase the amount of gold Sadri has to barter with by 1,000 if you unlock the Master Trader perk. 

You can find Sadri’s Used Wares in the Gray Quarter in Windhelm. If you are in Windhelm or this area you can stop by Sadri’s from 8am to 8pm to sell your jewelry.

Bits and Pieces

Bits and Pieces is another convenient shop to sell your jewelry in Skyrim. You can easily access this general store in the Solitude marketplace. Sayma usually carries 750 gold with her, but this can be increased by 500 gold with the Investor perk. Sayma’s gold can also be increased by another 1,000 if you unlock the Master Trader perk. If you find yourself in Solitude frequently, Bits and Pieces is a good general store to sell your unwanted jewelry. 

You can easily access this general store in the Solitude marketplace. Bits and Pieces is open from 8am to 8pm. Solitude is located North of the town of Morthal in the Haafingar region in Skyrim.

Amleif and Sons Trading Company

Arnleif and Sons Trading Company is another general store where you can sell your unwanted jewelry. Lisbet runs the store and she carries 750 gold coins which can be increased with two perks. The Investor perk allows you to invest gold into Arnleif and Sons, and you can increase the amount of gold Lisbet carries by 500 gold. You can also increase Lisbet’s gold with the Master Trader perk, which will give her an additional 1,000 gold. 

You can find Arnleif and Sons Trading Company in the Markarth marketplace across from the Silver-Blood Inn. Markarth is an ancient Dwemer city located West of Rorikstead. The general goods store is open from 8am to 8pm.

The Pawned Prawn

The Pawned Prawn is another general goods store where you can sell your jewelry. Bersi Honey Hand runs the shop and carries 750 gold with him. With the Investor and Master Trader perks, the amount of gold Bersi goes up by 500–1,000 coins. The Pawned Prawn is a great location to sell your jewelry because it is conveniently located close to the Thieves Guild. If you are early on in the Thieves Guild questline and cannot sell to Tonilia yet, you can sell your jewelry at The Pawned Prawn. 

You can find The Pawned Prawn in Riften next to the Black-Briar Meadery and Elgrim’s Elixirs. Riften is located South of the town of Shor’s Stone. The Pawned Prawn is open from 8am to 8pm every day.

Gray Pine Goods

Gray Pine Goods is a general goods shop where you can sell your jewelry. Solaf runs the store and carries 750 gold coins with him. The perks Investor and Master Trader will help increase the amount of gold Solaf carries as well. You can also wait 48 hours for Solaf’s inventory to reset to sell the rest of your jewelry if he runs out of gold coins. Gray Pine Goods is a good location to sell your jewelry, and is especially convenient if you live in Lakeview Manor.

Gray Pine Goods is located in Falkreath across the street from Dead Man’s Drink. Falkreath is located Southwest of Riverwood. Gray Pine Goods is open from 8am to 8pm.

Fethis Alorm, Raven Rock

If you find yourself in Solstheim needing to sell jewelry, you can stop by Fethis Alor’s stall in the town of Raven Rock. Fethis Alor is a Dunmer merchant that carries 1,500 gold coins to barter with. The Master Trader perk increases the amount of gold Fethis carries by 1,000 coins. The amount of gold Fethis carries makes selling to him even more convenient. You can sell more of your jewelry and he won’t run out of gold as quickly as other vendors.

Fethis Alor’s stall is located in the Raven Rock marketplace outside of his home and next to The Retching Netch. Fethis’ stall is open from 8am to 8pm. Raven Rock is a town on the island of Solstheim that can be accessed by boat from the Windhelm docks. Raven Rock is located West of Tel Mithryn and South of Bloodskal Barrow.

Madesi

Madesi is a good alternative merchant to sell your jewelry to in Riften if you haven’t worked up to selling to Tonilia and aren’t selling at The Pawned Prawn. Madesi carries 750 gold coins which is sufficient for purchasing various pieces of jewelry. You can also wait for 48 hours for Madesi’s inventory to reset in case you need to sell off more items.  

Madesi can be found at his stall in the Riften marketplace near The Scorched Hammer. He can be found at his stall from 6am to 8pm. 

Tips for Bartering in Skyrim

Here are some tips to make selling your jewelry in Skyrim more efficient and profitable!

  • Leveling up your Speech skill will make selling in Skyrim a lot easier. Once you reach Speech Level 70, you will be able to invest in various stores which can increase how much gold the merchants carry.
  • The Investor perk is helpful to unlock if you trade with a specific merchant a lot and want to increase the amount of gold they carry.
  • The Fence perk allows you to sell stolen goods to merchants you have previously invested in.
  • The Master Trader perk allows you to increase the gold merchants have to barter by 1,000 gold.
