A huge part of any Diablo 4 build is the gear you equip your character with. In my experience, choosing the right gear for your build can be the difference between survival and defeat in the most crucial situations. Out of all the gear in Diablo 4, unique quality items are the most valuable and most powerful. However, uniques can also be some of the trickiest pieces of gear to acquire and some are far more worth your time than others.
That’s why I’m bringing you this guide to the best uniques for each class in Diablo 4, where I plan to walk you through the best places to farm them and how to best fit them into your build.
What Are Uniques in Diablo 4?
Items in Diablo 4 come in a variant of different qualities starting with Common items which are white, Magic items which are purple, Rare items which are yellow, Legendary items which are orange, and Unique items which are bronze. Unique quality items differ from other items in that they have affixes that are only found on that specific item, hence the term “unique.” You will only find uniques on World Tier 3 and 4, and they will not drop from the Purveyor of Curiosities, the Tree of Whispers, or other vendors. Additionally, the rarest of the rare uniques are called Uber Uniques, which can be farmed from Diablo 4’s endgame bosses.
Best Diablo 4 Unique for Necromancer
Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul
The Ring of the Sacrilegious Souls is a unique accessory for Necromancers in Diablo 4. It comes equipped with the following affixes:
- +9.3% Resistance to All Elements [9.3]%
- +9.3% Poison Resistance [9.3]%
- +10.8% Lucky Hit Chance [7.2-13.5]%
- +932 Maximum Life [559 – 1,211]
- +9 Maximum Essence [5 -14]
- +3 Ranks of all Corpse Skills
- You automatically activate the following equipped Skills on Corpses around you:
- Raise Skeleton every 1.0 [2.0 – 1.0] seconds
- Corpse Explosion every 1.0 [2.0 – 1.0] seconds
- Corpse Tendrils every 8 [16 – 8] seconds. (Necromancer Only)
Where to Farm
The best way to farm for the Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul is by taking on the endgame boss Echo of Varshan. To access this boss, you will need to be on World Tier 3 or higher and collect the parts of Varshan’s body: Gurgling Head, Blackened Femur, and Trembling Hand (as well as a Malignant Heart on World Tier 4). With these items in hand, you’ll need to head to the Malignant Burrow near the Tree of Whispers to summon Varshan. This is a level 75 dungeon, so prepare accordingly. The good news is that the Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul has a high chance of dropping from Varshan, so you shouldn’t need to grind this boss too many times to obtain it.
How to Use on a Necromancer Build
The Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul is perfect for Corpse builds on the Necromancer. What makes it so powerful is the fact that its unique affix automatically casts Raise Skeleton, Corpse Explosion, and Corpse Tendrils at certain intervals. These skills are the bread and butter for most Necromancer builds in Diablo 4, so having them automatically activated with this unique affix is almost always useful.
Best Diablo 4 Unique for Sorcerer
Raiment of the Infinite
The Raiment of the Infinite is a unique chest piece for Sorcerers in Diablo 4. It comes equipped with the following affixes:
- +[11.5 – 16.5]% Damage to Stunned Enemies
- +[11.5 – 16.5]% Damage to Close Enemies
- +[24 – 34] Intelligence
- +1 Ranks of the Glass Cannon Passive
- After using Teleport, Close enemies are Pulled to you and Stunned for [2.0 – 3.0] seconds, but Teleport’s Cooldown is increased by 20%[x].
Where to Farm
You can farm the Raiment of the Infinite from one of two places: Lord Zir or Echo of Varshan. As stated above, Echo of Varshan can be fought on World Tier 3. However, Lord Zir can only be fought on World Tier 4. To reach Lord Zir, you will need to collect Exquisite Blood from Legion Events or World Bosses. Once you have 9 Exquisite Blood, you can head to the Darkened Way to the East of Kyovashad and make your way through the dungeon to find Lord Zir. Defeating him or Varshan both have a medium chance of dropping the Raiment of the Infinite.
How to Use on a Sorcerer Build
A key part of any Sorcerer build is the necessary role that Teleport plays. Since Sorcerers have few defensive options, being able to teleport to escape dangerous situations is a must. The Raiment of the Infinite supports this play style with its unique affix that pulls and stuns close enemies after you use Teleport. This opens them up for follow-up attacks from the Sorcerer’s Core Skills, which will deal increased damage thanks to the other affixes on this unique chest piece.
Best Diablo 4 Unique for Druid
Tempest Roar
Tempest Roar is a unique helm for Druids in Diablo 4. It comes equipped with the following affixes:
- +[13.5 – 28.5]% Poison Resistance
- +[10.0 – 15.0]% Critical Strike Damage
- +[5 – 11] Maximum Spirit
- +[7.5 – 12.5]% Damage while Shapeshifted
- Lucky Hit: Storm Skills have up to a [15 – 25]% chance to grant 4 Spirit.
- Your base Storm Skills are now also Werewolf Skills
Where to Farm
Farming for the Tempest Roar can be trickier than other uniques. While you can farm Cultists and Cannibals in Nightmare Dungeons for it, this unique has a very low chance of dropping from them. The other option grants a slightly higher chance to drop but requires you to face one of the hardest endgame bosses in Diablo 4. The Tempest Roar can drop from Duriel, King of Maggots, also known as Uber Duriel who can only be challenged on World Tier 4. Additionally, you will need to defeat two other World Tier 4 bosses, Varshan and Grigoire, to obtain the Mucus-Slick Eggs and Shards of Agony necessary to summon Duriel at the Gaping Crevasse.
How to Use on a Druid Build
The Tempest Roar headpiece is ideal for a Storm/Werewolf hybrid Druid build mainly because of its unique affixes. Its first unique affix grants a Lucky Hit chance to gain 4 Spirit from Storm Skills. The other unique affix makes all Storm Skills also become Werewolf Skills. This means that your Storm Skills can take advantage of passives like Toxic Claws and the Key Passive Lupine Ferocity. The result allows the Druid to hit hard with more powerful Crits coming from both their Storm and Werewolf Skills.
Best Diablo 4 Unique for Rogue
Condemnation
Condemnation is a unique dagger for Rogues in Diablo 4. It comes equipped with the following affixes:
- +14.0% Damage to Close Enemies
- +[10.0 – 15.0]% Critical Strike Damage
- +[9.0 – 14.0]% Core Skill Damage
- +[7.5 – 12.5]% Damage with Dual-Wielded Weapons
- +[3.5 – 7.5]% Basic Skill Attack Speed
- Your Core Skills deal [20 – 40]%[x] increased damage when spending 3 Combo Points. Your Basic Skills using this weapon have a 30% chance to generate 3 Combo Points.
Where to Farm
The Rogue’s Condemnation unique weapon can be farmed from either the Echo of Varshan on World Tier 3 or above or from The Beast in the Ice on World Tier 4. To summon this boss, you will need to collect Distilled Fear from Nightmare Dungeons and trade enough to the Occultist to obtain the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil. Activating this sigil will allow you to teleport to the dungeon where the boss resides. Luckily, Condemnation has a high chance of dropping from either of these bosses, so it shouldn’t be too hard for you to obtain.
How to Use on a Rogue Build
Condemnation is a great overall weapon for Rogues because it takes full advantage of the Rogue’s unique Combo Points mechanic. Combo Points are typically built by attacking with Basic Skills, and up to three can be spent to unleash a more powerful version of your Rogue’s Core Skills. Condemnation takes this a step further with its unique affix by dealing even more damage when spending three Combo Points, and can help generate Combo Points through Basic Skills 30% faster. This makes this unique weapon a fantastic weapon for just about any Rogue build.
Best Diablo 4 Unique for Barbarian
Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus
Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus is a unique sword for Barbarians in Diablo 4. It comes equipped with the following affixes:
- +12.5% Critical Strike Damage
- +[11.5 – 16.5]% Damage to Close Enemies
- Lucky Hit: Up to a 5% Chance to Restore +[5.0 – 10.0]% Primary Resource
- +[7.5 – 12.5]% Damage with Dual-Wielded Weapons
- +[9 – 14] Maximum Fury
- Skills using this weapon deal [0.2 – 0.4]%[x] increased damage per point of Fury you have, but you lose 2 Fury every second.
Where to Farm
The best way to farm for Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus is to battle either Lord Zir on World Tier 4, or Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint on World Tier 3 and above. Grigoire is the easiest of the two to access, needing you to collect only two Living Steel from Helltides. Grigoire can be fought on World Tier 4 but requires five Living Steel to summon. However, he does have a higher chance of dropping Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus on World Tier 4.
How to Use on a Barbarian Build
Like most of the other best uniques in Diablo 4, Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus is ideal for the Barbarian because it can benefit almost any build. Its main claim to fame is its unique affix that increases for each point of Fury you have, but you lose 2 Fury every second. Barbarians generate Fury as they use Basic Skills, and Fury is the primary resource you will need to spend to use your Barbarian’s Fury Skills. This means while you deal an overall greater amount of damage, you will need to be even more careful with your Fury management. Luckily, this unique does increase your maximum Fury cap, which can help you manage the resource.
