Let’s dive into our guide to the best accessories in Octopath Traveler 2 so you can keep your party outfitted with the best gear!

Elemental Augmentor

(Square Enix / Drew Swanson)

This accessory is a must-have for any elemental attack-oriented character. It grants the wearer a useful +100 Elemental Attack.

Where to Find It

The Elemental Augmentor can be found in a couple locations throughout Octopath Traveler 2. The first is in the Shrine of Ul’sterra where it is hidden behind a hidden pathway near the western staircase. Another option for obtaining this accessory is to use Agnea’s Entreat to gain it from a villager in the city of Sai.

How to Use the Elemental Augmentor

Given its solid buff to a character’s Elemental Attack power, the Elemental Augmentor is ideal for party members who specialize in dealing Elemental Damage. Osvald and Temenos, along with any other character that has the Scholar or Cleric secondary job, are the best fits for this accessory. The Elemental Skills of these classes can take full advantage of the bonus to Elemental Attack granted by the Elemental Augmentor, making it a staple accessory for Elemental Attack-oriented characters.

Mikka’s Amulet

(Square Enix / Drew Swanson)

This is an all-around great accessory but is especially perfect for characters who need a boost of Speed and Accuracy. It grants the wearer +100 Speed, +100 Accuracy, as well as +100 Physical Defense.

Where to Find It

To obtain Mikka’s Amulet, you will have to complete the side quest Mikka’s Next Chapter which can be started in Ku after finishing Hikari’s Chapter 5. Completing this quest will require taking trips between Cropdale and Ku, as well as Stealing Mikka’s earrings from a bandit. This side quest is worth completing as it grants the player a fantastic accessory in Mikka’s Amulet.

How to Use Mikka’s Amulet

While Mikka’s Amulet is a solid accessory for most party members, there are a few who can benefit from it the most. Throné is the best option for Mikka’s Amulet since you will want her to have as high of Speed as possible. This accessory has the added bonus of granting bonus Physical Defense which Throné definitely needs. Ochette or any other character with the Hunter secondary job is also a good fit since they require high levels of Accuracy for optimal damage output.

Librarian’s Amulet

(Square Enix / Drew Swanson)

This accessory is great to have on characters who tend to use a lot of SP. That’s because it grants the wearer +120 Elemental Defense as well as +120 Max SP.

Where to Find It

In order to obtain the Librarian’s Amulet, you will need to complete the side quest Procuring Peculiar Tomes which can be started in Montwise. This quest requires the player to obtain three unique books and deliver them to the Scholar in Montwise’s library. After doing so, they will reward you with the Librarian’s Amulet.

How to Use the Librarian’s Amulet

The ideal choice of party members to use this accessory are those who will use a lot of SP and can also benefit from an Elemental Defense boost. Scholars or Clerics like Osvald and Temenos are great choices since they tend to rely on SP-consuming attacks. Additionally, Throné and Agnea are also great choices as they can require a lot of SP as well while also having some of the lowest Elemental Defense in the party.

Empowering Necklace

(Square Enix / Drew Swanson)

The Empowering Necklace is a relatively simple accessory at face value, but it can be indispensable to a party in Octopath Traveler 2. This accessory grants the wearer a whopping +1,000 HP to bolster their survivability.

Where to Find It

There are a couple of options for obtaining the Empowering Necklace in Octopath Traveler 2. The first is by locating a treasure chest containing the item which can be found on the northeastern side of the Shrine Entrance in Merry Hills. Another option is to use a Path Action like Steal or Mug to nab it from a soldier in Timberain.

How to Use the Empowering Necklace

While the Empowering Necklace can be useful on most characters, it’s ideal for further buffing a tanky character or for helping out characters with subpar HP. Hikari can take great advantage of this accessory to become a powerful tank for the party. Conversely, Osvald, Agnea, and Temenos all have some of the lowest HP in the party so they could use the Empowering Necklace to balance this stat out.

Champion’s Belt

Octopath Traveler 2 Best Accessories Champions Belt
(Square Enix / Drew Swanson)

One of the best accessories for Physical Attackers in Octopath Traveler 2 is the Champion’s Belt. This accessory gives the wearer +100 Critical, +100 Physical Attack, and prevents surprise attacks from enemies.

Where to Find It

The Champion’s Belt is obtained by completing the Tourney Champion side quest located in Montwise. Head to the arena in town and talk to the Worried Woman who requests that you stop her friend from participating in the tournament. Knockout the Fainthearted Youth using a Path Action to take his place in the tournament. After facing and defeating Yurinas in the tournament, you will be awarded the Champion’s Belt.

How to Use the Champion’s Belt

This accessory is ideal for physically offensive powerhouses while also providing the party with the benefit of avoiding enemy surprise attacks. Hikari is the optimal choice to use this accessory, but any other character with the Warrior secondary job will work too. Ochette and Partitio can also be good options given the right combination of secondary jobs, but this accessory should really be reserved for Warriors.

Fang Of Ferocity

(Square Enix / Drew Swanson)

One of the best accessories in Octopath Traveler 2 also takes advantage of the game’s primary battle mechanic. The Fang of Ferocity raises the damage dealt by boosted attacks, so players who spend BP to Boost an attack can pack an even greater punch.

Where to Find It

Getting the Fang of Ferocity can be a bit of a challenge as you will have to get past the optional Tyrannodrake boss. This boss can be found within the Curious Nest dungeon located between Conning Creek and Canalbrine. Delving into this optional dungeon can be perilous, but the reward of the Fang of Ferocity is absolutely worth the risk.

How to Use the Fang of Ferocity

This accessory has the potential to greatly increase your party’s damage output thanks to the substantial buff it provides to Boosted attacks. Hikari is a great choice to wear this item since his Deal More Damage support skill raises the DPS cap to 99,999, making him the go-to Physical Damage dealer for many teams. Partitio is another great option since his Hoot and Holler Latent Power maxes out his BP, meaning he can Boost his attacks more often.

Blessing In Disguise

Octopath Traveler 2 Best Accessories Blessing In Disguise
(Square Enix / Drew Swanson)

While unremarkable on its own, the Blessing In Disguise is the most useful accessory in Octopath Traveler 2. This is because the Blessing In Disguise turns negative values on all other equipment into positive values.

Where to Find It

There are a couple of locations where the Blessing In Disguise can be found. The first is in a chest located in the northeast corner of the Seat of the Water Sprite down a ladder and across some water. Another Blessing In Disguise can be found in the southwest part of the maze on The Lost Isle.

How to Use the Blessing In Disguise

This accessory is really only useful when paired with equipment that has a negative stat value, but it is perfect for transforming some gear with major drawbacks into the best in the game. Pair the Blessing In Disguise with equipment like the Cursed Armor or Cursed Shield and turn their negative stats into positive ones. Using this accessory is necessary for accessing some of the strongest builds in the game since it essentially makes already powerful equipment more powerful by removing their drawbacks.
