Jedi: Survivor – Shop Guide & Best Items to Buy

One new feature in Jedi: Survivor is the addition of shops for players to purchase various items. Most of these items are just cosmetics, but some include special upgrades to make Cal stronger in combat. In this Jedi: Survivor guide, we’ll be going over every shop in the game, how to unlock them, and the which items you should buy ASAP.

NPC Merchant Overview

In Jedi: Survivor, there are a total of four different merchants that you can purchase items from. These merchants each take their own respective currency – all of which can be found while exploring the worlds you encounter on your journey.

As you might have guessed, there are four different currencies that can be found. They are as follows:

  • Priorite Shards: A special, rare material valued by the prospectors on Koboh. Found on several planets. Accepted by Doma, who is located on Koboh.
  • Datadiscs: High-Republic technology scattered around old ruins. Found only on Koboh. Accepted by Zee, who is located on Koboh.
  • Jedha Scrolls: Ancient scrolls relating to the force and the groups that worship it. Found only on Jedha. Accepted by Sister Taske, who is located on Jedha.
  • Bounty Hunter Pucks: A special technology that gives info on various bounty targets. Found on various planets being held by Bounty Hunter mini-bosses. Accepted by Caji, who is located on Koboh.

These merchants are really great for acquiring cosmetic items, as every one of them contains unique stuff that you can’t find anywhere else. More importantly, three of these four merchants sell special upgrades for Cal.

These upgrades can range from enhancements to your blasters, to special perks that give Cal unique advantages in combat. You can even upgrade your best buddy BD-1 with some of them!

None of these upgrades are needed to progress the story, and you can do just fine without them. But it’s definitely in your best interest to at least check them out once in your play-through to see if there’s anything that you like.

Every Shop & Best Items in Jedi: Survivor

With that introduction done and over with, let’s jump right in.

Doma’s Outpost Commodities

Doma sells cosmetic items.

  • Location: Next to the Pyloon’s Saloon (Koboh)
  • Currency: Priorite Shards
  • Items: Mainly cosmetic items for Cal, soundtracks, and 1 upgrade

The first shop that you’ll encounter in Jedi: Survivor belongs to Doma. Doma is the de-facto mayor of the outpost Rambler’s Reach and manages her very own shop. It’s located close to Pyloon’s Saloon, the cantina owned by Greez.

Doma will only take Priorite Shards as currency, so you’re going to be needing tons of the stuff to buy anything from her. You can find Priorite on Courascant and Koboh. It is not found on any of the other planets.

Doma’s shop primarily sells cosmetic items. You can find different hairstyles and outfits for Cal to wear, making it a good place to stop by if you want something to spice up your wardrobe. We personally think the windswept hair looks pretty nice and find that buzzcut makes Cal look like Jimmy Hopkins from Bully! There are also some music tracks that you can purchase and play at the cantina once you recruit Ashe Javi and DD-EX. While none of these are essential, they’re nice to have.

However, the first and most important thing that you should buy from this shop is the Mysterious Key Code. This is a key code to a door located inside her shop that was locked by some Bedlam Raiders. She says you can buy the code from her, and in exchange, you can have anything inside. It sounds like a scam, but it’s definitely worth getting. After buying the code and using it to get through the door, you will find an upgrade to the number of stim canisters that you can hold at once!

Zee’s Datadisc Decryption

Zee will sell you upgrades and perks.

  • Location: 2nd floor of Pyloon’s Saloon (Koboh)
  • Currency: Data Discs
  • Items: Combat perks, cosmetics for BD-1

Up next, we have Zee’s shop. Zee is the High Republic-era droid that you find semi-early on in the story while exploring some old ruins. After you recruit her in the story, she’ll set up her shop in the second story of Pyloon’s Saloon.

She only takes Data Discs as a currency. You can only find these things on Koboh, where they are fairly common. Take them to her and she will decrypt them for you, giving you access to some special goodies.

Unlike Doma’s shop, Zee primarily sells combat upgrades for Cal to use. These upgrades are called perks, special upgrades that enhance Cal’s abilities. There are several good ones, but there are a few we recommend in particular. The Perk Slot costs 10 data discs, and it allows Cal to use more perks at once. Equilibrium is another good one, increasing the damage of your next melee attack after using any Force power!

In addition to selling perk-related upgrades, she also sells cosmetic items for your companion droid, BD-1. She provides a Kaminoan cosmetic set for him, among other special parts. You can also purchase some pretty cool materials for BD-1 as well. I recommend getting the Basic Metal set, which lets you dress up BD-1 in gold! There’s also the Droid Paint materials set, which gives you access to some basic bright and vibrant colors that will really make him pop.

Sister Taske’s Historical Artifacts

Sister Taske will cosmetics
Image: Respawn Entertainment, Electronic Arts via HGG / Koby Gibson Ross
  • Location: Inside the Archive base (Jedha)
  • Currency: Jedha Scrolls
  • Items: Cosmetics for your lightsaber and blaster pistol

Moving on to the next shop in Jedi: Survivor, we have Sister Taske’s store. Sister Taske is a member of the order of Force-worshipers that Cere joins up with. She is responsible for helping archive old data relating to the Force and the Jedi order.

You can find her stationed at the group’s base, in the room past the area with the holo-books. For her store, she will only accept Jedha Scrolls. These are ancient documents that you can only find scattered about the planet of Jedha.

Sister Taske will only sell cosmetics, specifically for both the blaster pistol and Cal’s lightsaber. Personally, we’re not a fan of any of the lightsaber parts she sells, except for maybe the Justice emitter. However, that’s not the case for the blaster. Worn Metal is our favorite, as those colors can give your blaster a realistic and cool look. Rebel Paint is another great set of colors if you don’t mind something a bit flashier.

As there’s nothing practical here, you only really need to visit this shop if you’re a completionist or see a cosmetic that you like. You’re bound to end up with plenty of Jedha Scrolls while exploring, so you might as well pick up something that catches your fancy.

Caij’s Bounty Board

Caij sells you upgrades for your blaster and BD-1
Image: Respawn Entertainment, Electronic Arts via HGG / Koby Gibson Ross
  • Location: Across from the bar in Pyloon’s Saloon (Koboh)
  • Currency: Bounty Pucks
  • Items: Upgrades for your blaster and BD-1, cosmetics for your blaster pistol

Last but not least on our list, we have none other than Caij’s shop. Caij is an ex-bounty hunter that you first meet inside Pyloon’s Saloon. She is the Nautolan that you find inside with her hat drawn down and her feet kicked up on top of the table.

If you progress the story far enough, she’ll eventually approach you and offer you a deal. You take down bounty hunters and bring their Bounty Pucks to her. In exchange, she’ll give you various useful items.

What are these items you ask? It’s a mix of upgrades and cosmetic items for your blaster pistol, as well as some upgrades for BD-1. The blaster pistol upgrades are pretty great and are definitely worth buying if you can afford them. We especially recommend Detachment. With it, when you hit an enemy with a charged shot, they and nearby enemies will be stunned at the cost of some damage. This is great for exposing enemies to lightsaber damage.

Another great upgrade to get is the one that allows BD-1 to slice into B1 battle droids. You’ll need to Force Pull them towards you first, but that’s a small price to pay for being able to hack one of the most common enemy types in the entire game. As for cosmetic upgrades, the RSKF-44 blaster grip looks great and so does the Model 13 barrel. Though the choice is up to you ultimately.

Here is her full list of purchasable upgrades:

  • Charge Shot Area: Upgrades your blaster pistol so that charged shots will deal damage to enemies that are close to your target.
  • Ricochet: Upgrade your blaster pistol so that your blaster bolts will ricochet off of any floors or walls if the bolt is charged up.
  • Stun Shot: Upgrades your blaster bolt so that when you hit an enemy with a charged shot, it will stun the enemy and any other enemies nearby (in exchange for some damage).
  • Slice: B2 Droid: Allows BD-1 to hack into B2 Super Battle Droids, turning them into allies.
  • Slice: B1 Battle Droid: After you Force Pull a B1 Battle Droid toward you, BD-1 can hack into them to turn them into an ally.
  • Slice: Probe Droid: After you Force Pull an Imperial Probe Droid toward you, BD-1 can hack into them to turn them into an ally.

Here is her full list of purchasable blaster cosmetics:

  • Model 13 Blaster Barrel
