How to Get the Fierce Deity Armor Set in Tears of the Kingdom

The Fierce Deity Armor set in Tears of the Kingdom is a throwback to Majora’s Mask. In Majora’s Mask, Link could use multiple masks that transformed him into different versions of himself such as Deku Link. One such mask was the Fierce Deity Mask that transformed Link into Fierce Deity Link, an adult Link that wielded the powerful Helix Sword.

In Tears of the Kingdom, they captured same power from Majora’s Mask with the Fierce Deity Armor set. Wearing the full set provides a max Attack Up bonus plus you can grab the Helix Sword which has the attack power of 38 and deal tons of damage. Not to mention, the Fierce Deity Set is probably one of the coolest sets in TOTK, in my opinion.

So, if you want to get your hands on the Fierce Deity Armor plus Helix Sword continue reading!

Each Fierce Deity Armor Piece Location in TOTK

Before we can get the Helix Sword, we will need to grab each Fierce Deity Armor Piece. Technically, there’s a full quest that tells you where each piece is if you head to Cephla Lake Cave in Elden Canyon. However, we can skip the first part of the quest since we know where to look.

Fierce Deity Leggings

Let’s start with the Leggings as these are the easiest and quickest to get. If you read our best early game armors, then you might already have the leggings. If you don’t, head on over to the Ancient Tree Stump in Mount Daphnes South-West of Lookout Landing.

Jump into the hole at the top of the tree stump and glide all the way to the bottom. Look for a tunnel marked by Misko’s flag.

Once through, you’ll need to climb up a series of roots in order to reach the chest.

Now let’s move on to the Fierce Deity Cap.

Fierce Deity Mask

In Tears of the Kingdom, the Fierce Deity Mask, the second piece of the armor set, is characterized by white hair and glowing eyes plus tribal face paint.

The Fierce Deity Mask will be located at Skull Lake on the eastern edge of Death Mountain.

The cave you’re looking for will be inside the right “eye” of the skull on the map. Unless you have tons of stamina to climb up the eye, you’ll want to glide from one of the mountains on the Death Mountain side of Skull Lake. At the top of eye, you’ll find the hole the leads to the cave.

Inside the cave, you’ll have to fight some skeletons and few rock walls until you reach a cavern. Defeat the Stalnox then climb the central platform to get to the chest.

With the Mask acquired, you have two out of three pieces of the Fierce Deity set. Now all you need is the Chest piece.

Fierce Deity Chest

The final piece of the armor set in Tears of the Kingdom, is the Fierce Deity Armor set, characterized by an iron chest plate, blue accents, and padded gauntlets.

The last piece of the armor is located at the top of the Akkala Citadel Ruins in Akkala.

Once at the top, you’ll want to head to the South-West side of the big building ruins. Watch out for the creepy Gloom Hands that spawn nearby.

Inside the ruins, you’ll want to look for a hole in the wall.

Crouch and go through the hole to find a small cave. In the center of the cave the chest will be waiting for you.

With all the armor pieces in our hands, we can now get the Helix Sword and complete our Fierce Deity cosplay.

How to Get the Helix Sword

In Tears of the Kingdom, the Fierce Deity Armor set is finished by the Helix Sword. Two blades twist and intertwine with each other to make this two-handed blade.

Now that we have all the pieces of the Fierce Deity armor set, we can unlock the Helix Sword or the Fierce Deity Sword as it’s called in Tears of the Kingdom. Head over to the Cephla Lake Cave near Death Mountain just North of the Foothill Stable.

In Tears of the Kingdom, the Helix blade can be unlocked by going to the Cephla Lake cave and wearing the Fierce Deity armor set.

Ignore all the chests in the cave for now and head to the stone door. Equip the Fierce Deity Set and the stone door will open, revealing the chest containing the Helix Sword.

Now you have the complete Fierce Deity Set and when the Helix Sword breaks you can always go to the nearest Poe Bargainer Statue and buy another.

In Tears of the Kingdom, you can rebuy the Fierce Deity Sword plus armor set at Poe Bargainer Statues in the Depths.
